My son and daughter treated me to Ruth's Chris Steak House on the Strip in Las Vegas for Mother's Day. While the service was great, the food quality and flavor were unfortunately below my expectations. I ordered the ribeye steak, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. To their credit, the vegetables were prepared well and were quite tasty. However, the ribeye was disappointing; it did not meet the "top shelf" standards I expected, and it was not seasoned well. I sent the steak back, but the replacement I received was equally subpar. I ended up setting it to the side and just eating the vegetables. While I understand that high-quality steaks often only require salt and pepper to highlight their natural flavor, this steak simply lacked the quality to support such a minimalist approach. Honestly, it did not taste fresh off the grill, and I suspect it may have been precooked. My daughter ordered the filet mignon and requested au jus sauce, but unfortunately, the waiter was never able to bring it out for her. While her steak was acceptable, she has certainly had much better elsewhere. The dessert was the final letdown of the evening. We ordered the bread pudding and the cheesecake, but both were merely passable. Honestly, the quality and presentation were no better than what I could have purchased at a local grocery store like Albertson's--a surprising realization given the premium we paid. My son wasn't able to attend my Mother's Day dinner this year but he contributed two gift cards worth $200.00. My daughter paid out-of-pocket $100.00 plus an 18% tip. The total cost was about $320.00; that is a significant investment for a meal that didn't deliver. So at the end of the day it was the good wine, the great conversation, and the priceless time spent with my daughter that were the highlights that truly saved my Mother's Day. Came here for my dad's birthday--we're big Ruth's Chris fans, so this spot was a natural choice. We did valet ($40), which was pretty straightforward, but it is a bit of a walk through the casino to get to the restaurant. That's always a slight deterrent for me when I'm dressed up and just trying to get to dinner. I paid extra for a window table and a glass of champagne that was supposed to be served at the end of the meal, but I asked for it when we sat down instead--because birthday celebrations shouldn't have to wait. The food was on par with the Ruth's Chris brand we know and love, and the service was good. I'm not sure I'd pay extra for the window seating again, especially since the restaurant was fairly empty during our visit, but overall we still had a nice experience. I will be back. read more

Came here last night, I had made reservations for 7pm, we arrived early around 6:40pm the host stated that it would be closer to our dining time so we sat at the bar and had a drink, the bartender was really nice and inviting, I ordered a lemon drop martini and my friend ordered a prosecco, The manager came and sat us closer to 7pm. We had a table closer to the bar by the Private dining room, the table wasn't bad but everyone kept walking by using it as a shortcut to get to the bathrooms, but other than that our server was awesome she was busy but it was great seeing her interact and take care of all her tables, she walked us through the menu explained the concept of the restaurant and even suggested some items. We decided to do the 3 course menu I chose the scallops for an entree, Caesar salad for a starter and mashed potatoes for the side, the friend chose the same but got asparagus and a different salad, we also ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer (Not pictured we ate those so fast). The food was paced out great, we had a great time conversing and catching up. The meal also included a cheesecake and chocolate brittle for dessert it was delicious, we walked out of there so stuffed! We had an amazing time thanks to our wonderful server and kind manager John for ensuring we had a wonderful experience. I visited Ruth Chris in late May, 2026 with two friends. We arrived at 8:30 pm for dinner. There were only 5 tables occupied. Upon entering it felt we were entering a freezer. Temp was about 65 degrees. I asked the hostess if it was warmer in the restaurant, she said yes! It wasn't. It was horribly uncomfortable. It began when we were served a stale loaf a bread. I asked the server assistant if he could bring fresh bread but he said that was all they had. He did try, and returned with a warm loaf of stale bread. I ordered the jumbo lump crab cakes. The minute I saw them I knew they were not made of jumbo lump crab! I pulled apart of cake and the only thing I saw were crab filaments. These crab cakes were made of inexpensive canned crab meat. I called the waiter over and showed him my plate. He confessed that the crab was canned and that was what corporate provided!!! The manager came by, apologized and removed my entree from the bill. Our waited never refilled our beverages. My friend's meals were not much better than mine. I was not going to post this, however when I see the ads for RC on Facebook, they show delicious, mouthwatering images. This surely was not what we experienced! Day 4 visit. Why Ruth's Chris when there are so many other incredible steakhouses in Vegas? Because I had two gift cards and I refuse to go back to the Walnut Creek, CA location because of a previous negative experience w the location's GM. This location at Harrah's is very old school, fancy w some great views of the strip. Staff was courteous, friendly and I could tell many of the patrons were repeat visitors on a first name basis. From the GM who checked the validity of my gift cards upon my request, to Nigel the bartender, to Jonathan my waiter, thank you for a great dining experience. For the past several years, my favorite drink has been the Gabitini at Mon Ami Gabi. Shout out Nigel the bartender for making the best dirty martini I've ever had. Ice chilled, shaken, smooth, w two blue cheese olives. I'm very picky about my crab cakes and Ruth's Chris consistently makes the best, west of the Mississippi. Little to no filler, broiled and delicious. And I believe they make one of the best filets out there, broiled to a perfect medium rare and served on a dish w a puddle of molten butter and steak juices, so good. Add a lobster tail and some lobster Mac & cheese, and I'm about to be very full. No dessert for me today. read more

Only reason why this review went from 2 to 3 stars. I've never been to a Ruth Chris establishment before and was expecting a decent steak but that is not what I experienced. We ordered calamari appetizer (this was just ok), two Tomahawks two sides (cremini mushrooms and mashed potatoes) a bottle of wine, a glass of Merlot, and an Old Fashioned. For the price of a Tomahawk, I was expecting the best steak ever but ours was not that. It was tough to cut (even though we ordered ours medium and medium rare) and not a lot of flavor. I like the meat quality Much Much better than the meat from Jose Andres restaurant! 200%! Service is great, attentive and professional. For 2 people, I chose the 3-course tasting menu with appetizer/salad, main course and dessert. My friend had the 24 ounce T-bone and au gratin (sliced potatoes with 3 cheese sauce) For the tasting menu, I had the 16 ounce ribeye medium rare. Although the flavor is there but the meat is too fibrous to me. Also, it's slightly overcooked. Man, you do need to be careful bc the player is extremely hot! My friend's t-bone, cooked to medium rare, in my opinion, is softer and not so stringy. We ended up switching the meat with each other as he liked mine better. LOL..... I also liked the sliced potatoes with 3 cheese sauce. It had a thick layer of cheeses on top and the potatoes are well seasoned, very flavorful! This is my first time coming to the Las Vegas location and I really liked it. It is a huge restaurant with with windows overlooking the strip/Caesars forum shops entrance. I took one of my customers there for dinner. It's been a while since I've been to Ruth's Chris, but always delivers with a good meal. I was able to make reservations for the five of us and we seated right away. It's got a nice decor. Our server Tina, was awesome. She made very good recommendations on the menu. We got the calamari as appetizer. It had a tangy sauce to it which was very tasty. I got the 16 oz ribeye, medium rare and it was delicious. We also got sides of lobster mac & cheese, brussels sprouts, and sweet mashed potatoes to share. Also a nice bottle of red wine. Prices were expensive, but it was as expected. Just finished up dinner at Ruth's Chris. My first time, my husband's second. It's his favorite steak and it's easily one of mine as well! The restaurant is very nice, with our being being the Linq and part of Caesars Palace. One of my favorite parts of dinner was Johnathan, our server. He was kind, welcoming, and very attentive. Made a reservation via open table to celebrate my husband's birthday. Requested strip view and it was granted. Our servers came out to introduce themselves, made recommendations, they explained the way their steaks are cooked and served.
