This is a great day out if not a tiring one!. plnty of choice of bikes at various prices to hire, it gets very busy in the summer i would recommend getting there early to avoid dissapointment. Kids have a fantastic time and it has the benefit of being a healthy family day out. I would advise taking packed lunches as food round the water area i expensive particulaly if you have a family. The have a selection of cycles with attachments for carrying small children so all the family can enjoy. read more

Hired 2 bikes from the cycle centre at Edith Weston. (There are several rental locations round the lake.) Route is not always well marked and there are cattle grids and gates to look out for which slow you down a bit so allow plenty of time for 17 mile ride. However it is an excellent way to spend an afternoon, the bikes were well-maintained and comfortable. Good choice of bikes, we hired a hybrid and a mountain bike.
