Things that we like: - walking distance from us! - competitive pricing - in addition to daycare, you can get your dog groomed (very convenient) - I like that I can text to let them know we're coming to drop off/pick up, and also to see if there are grooming appointments available - we get a few photos - convenient hours on the weekdays Things that could use some improvement: - I wish that the hours on Saturday were longer and that they were open on Sunday - I wish there was a little more structure and mental stimulation activities- sometimes these kind of daycare environments can be a bit much. We lived in New Orleans for 3 months while my partner was working and the daycare we used had a great structure that included nap / alone time in the middle of the day. - I wish there were pricing bundles for daycare + grooming or some kind of spa bundles that helped made the pricing discounted Overall, we've had a good experience and love bringing him back.

They really work hard to get good shots. Ginger is a very shy dog so the first part of our shoot was them just trying to let her open up by playing with her and giving her treats. She definitely opened up after a while that's why she got the oh so beloved tennis ball shot! My husband and I are not the best models either and we wanted to be in the photos. They taught us some poses to look decent in the pictures. They really work with you and your preferences--they make sure you absolutely love the prints and the photos you end up with. We had an incident where one of the prints had smudged ink which was very minimal--, but they went above and beyond to literally drive to our home to switch out the framed prints just to make sure we have them perfect! Not long after, I matched with a gentleman who had taken portraits with Danielle too! AND he used the same prop (a typewriter- we're both writers). Turns out we had matched previously, he'd seen my photos, and decided to have his own done with his German Shepherd. So now I have four dogs. My husband and I got Alicia's engagement/holiday family session which was supposed to be a 30…read moreminute session as a family. We was absolutely amazing with our two dogs, 1 male Havanese who is 5 years old named Mac and a female havanese-poodle mix, Maizie. They are both pretty good with me and my husband when off leash in a busy area but they are pretty against paparazzi and usually we can barely get a good photo of them on our own. Alicia was awesome she picked out this great park in Santa Monica and even though we were 15 minutes late due to traffic coming up from Redondo Beach she was already set up and done scouting and ready to shoot! She made both me and my husband feel very comfortable for the shoot, especially since we are extremely awkward together in photos... and more importantly Alicia made our pups feel SUPER at home. Our little Maizie is a stray and is usually super scared of strangers but she didn't even bark at Alicia at all and was even open to letting Alicia pet her while we were doing solos with Mac. She was also really great at getting the dog's attention and she was very hands-on and active trying to get the best shot, even laying in the grass or on her knees with her 'knee pads' LOL. On top of how much fun we had with our pups, Alicia shot with us for over an hour instead of the 30 minute package we paid for AND she got our best photos to us within the day! It was an amazing experience! We honestly can't wait to shoot with her again, but this time probably her doggy lifestyle package so we can just have great photos of our pups playing around together! We took our dog to the pet store where Dapper Paws was doing a holiday photo shoot. Angela had a…read moretable full of props and costumes for different size animals and she told us to pick out whatever we wanted for our pup. We selected a hat and scarf and Angela led us to the holiday background. Angela had treats and was super patient with our pup. I felt bad that our girl wasn't being cooperative initially but Angela was easy going and just kept trying to get the shot. Finally, our dog stayed in place and Angela started snapping pics. She showed us what she had to be sure there was something there that we liked, and there was a perfect picture that we loved. We got our pic in email a couple days later and it was ADORABLE! We'd definitely recommend Dapper Paws. It was a fun experience and we appreciated how good Angela was with our little fur girl.

Before our session I filled out a Creative Session Questionnaire which asked detailed questions about Scout and what we were looking for in the session. When it came to photoshoot day both Christy and Katherin were more than prepared for us. They had planned ahead different spots of where to shoot Scout and different types of shots. From action shots to profile shots you name it we did it. I loved how conscientious they were of my baby. They brought along water, toys and even Scout's favorite treats! Every shot was like a game to Scout and she was really enjoying herself. Both ladies were very friendly and extremely professional. You can easily tell this is more than just a job this is definitely their passion. We all really enjoyed working with them and plan on using the photos for our up and coming dog training business.
