Every time I come in something with my order ends up wrong. We typically get two lattes and two sandwiches and don't opt for anything funky or complicated order wise so it's very frustrating. Can't even write it off due to it being busy as it's only been averagely full when we went in. The coffee and food is pretty good so it's sad they're so unreliable. We wouldn't go here any more if it wasn't the closest shop and if my partner didn't really love their bagels. read more

When I lived in South San Diego I would frequent the Barrio Logan location. But since moving to Escondido I couldn't afford to drive all the way there to get my coffee. However, since discovering that Ryan Bros has a San Marcos location I am looking forward to being a regular visitor! The pumpkin spice collection is great. I had the pumpkin spice cold brew and it didn't disappoint. The coffee is rich and not bitter. The service is quick and friendly. Plus they have a cool outdoor seating area to relax, work or study. I enjoy this location. Lots of delicious teas and coffees to satisfy your cravings. There are always baked goods as well to purchase. Although they have 5 violations reported, praying they are improved and on the way to having an 100/100 score. The bathroom is clean and there are plenty of areas to sit at the front, inside and on the large patio. Great for meeting with a large group, you and your dog/s or single seating at the breakfast bar overlooking the parking lot. Staff has been pleasant with each visit. Extremely disappointed and frustrated! I'm giving Ryan Bros Coffee one star because their Google Maps listing links to a completely WRONG website for online ordering. I placed an order and wasted my money because when I got to the store, they told me they have nothing to do with that website! The manager wasn't helpful at all and refused to offer any compensation for the mistake on THEIR Google Maps listing. It's ridiculous that they don't clarify this anywhere and are letting customers get scammed. read more

Just moved into the area and was looking for a place for a quick cup of coffee in the morning. This is a really nice place. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was polite and service was good. Came at a moderately busy time and waited less than few minutes for my Americano. The coffee was good but a little too dark roasted for my taste. Mind you, it was good and I finished the drink with out a complaint coming across my mind. I picked up a blueberry muffin to go along with the coffee and found it to be good. It tasted of fresh blueberries and had really delicious bread part of the muffin, a great company for the coffee. All around good place. Sweet little coffee shop! The baristas were so nice and helpful with our selections. I had a soy latte and the espresso was so fresh and delicious. My husband and daughter loved their lattes, too. They roast their own beans at the San Diego location. There's ample seating both inside and in a cute, comfortable covered outdoor patio. They are so friendly!! Ryan Bros is one of my main stops when I need a good breakfast on the way to work. I love their farmer bagel, iced lattes, and service. Only a star off because I think their cold brew is just alright. This is a personal opinion and some may find it delightful. I come here usually 1-2x per week. Was very disappointed in their iced chai and matcha tho :( chai was watered down and matcha had powder chunks that were dissolved in the drink and was super sweet. I had never been here before and I love trying new coffee. The staff was very nice, but the coffee was absolutely disappointing. Tasted like it was made from powder, instant coffee. And when I was there, a few customers were seated and drinking and I was the only order placed. It took a ridiculous amount of time to get a latte and a cookie and Creme frappe. I waited at least 20 min and there was no rush going on at all. I'm not a big fan of Starbucks, but I'd rather have their coffee then ever go here again. Great independent spot in San Marcos! They have a variety of iced teas on tap, and the barista was incredibly kind enough to let me try out a few flavors for next time. I ultimately decided on the green tea, but the mango and peach were awesome too (apparently both taste great mixed with the green tea, fyi). I wish I could leave unlimited stars for Ianna and Ari. We came in around 4 on a Sunday, I was so impressed that those girls greet everyone when they walk in and make them feel so welcomed. Their service is speedy, I didn't know our drinks were ready and Ianna came and brought it to us ...so sweet and so friendly. As my husband and I studied we would overhear projects they want to tackle to maintain the cleanliness of the store, along the way they would give each other encouraging feedback and commendation, I have never observed such impressive teamwork in this type of environment. During the hot summer day that I went the AC was blasting which was nice to go inside to. The customer service is great! Located in a strip mall near CSUSM and conveniently off the freeway. This coffee shop has plenty of seating inside and in the patio. It is a great place for studying and working, but be aware that the chatter from the employees will be pretty clear considering the space of the room. I've only visited this place for a couple of morning coffee runs and each time they seem to not hear me when I ask for room in my hot Americano...no big deal, since I can just sacrifice a little bit of espresso to make room for cream...not preferable. The coffee is excellent, but the employees could be a little more engaged with their customers instead of just conversing amongst themselves. read more
