This is a big plus point with this place, most small newsagents have a small selection of magazine, usually women's magazines, which is great if that's all you want, but if you require something more diverse, like.. say fishing or running magazines, then more than likely you have to drive to the nearest WHSmith. Boscombe News always seems to have whatever I needed to find, they always seem to take in input and have more on the shelves, which keeps in the customers. They have the usual daily papers, sweets/chocolates and nice cheap card selection. Also they try and have household bits and bobs like bin-bags etc, but sadly about 3 shops down there is a Co-op store where you can more than likely find all of this cheaper. Overall 3/5

The clour schemes are tasteful and I think the prices are fair. If I was revamping a room, this would be one of my first stops. The staff are helpful with out being invasive. My own bridal dress was not expensive at all, and if I hadn't found that I would consider a secondhand one. Why spend a fortune on one day, when you can use the money for a great honeymoon, or towards a house?

To get a stamp you have to spend over £15. I went into the shop today and spent £32.98. When I was given one stamp I asked for another, seeing as I had bought two lots of £15. This was refused, and the manageress pointed out that one had to spend over £15 in one transaction to get a stamp no matter how much one bought. I suggested that I return half my goods and then re-buy them to gain my other stamp. The manageress told me that I would be abusing the shop's loyalty scheme, that all their other customers were happy with this scheme and I would be exploiting their discount service. I repeated to her that she had just accused me of "abuse" and "exploitation". She repeated that all their other customers were happy with this scheme. As it was, I did not have £30 of eligible purchases as £3.50 of my purchases were of a sales nature. Regardless of this, the manager's attitude was shockingly rude, condescending and dismissive. I will NEVER shop here again. Having researched Ken Bromley Art Supplies on-line (with free delivery), I could have saved myself over £6. Don't buy from this shop if you want a good, positive and rewarding customer service experience and wanted to feel valued as a customer.

A lot of the jewellery is made with gems so there's a whole range of colours to choose from. Some are dainty and some are quite exuberant, and all points in between. The prices are very good too, in my opinion. At the back of the shop you start seeing polished stones as items on their own and then there's incense and burners and natural oils and all sorts of 'new age' type items. There are also some really interesting books on sale. The shop is busy, students from overseas find it, au pairs find it, everyone finds it. The service is good.
