I received notice…read morefrom my notary (because my realtor was on vacation when all heck went down) that the bank had decided that I could not buy the house I wanted to buy with the water test as it was. I wasn't allowed to deal with the minor water issues there in my own time, they had to be dealt with in the 48hrs remaining for the purchase to go through, and so I needed to find a plumber. I called a few who were recommended but they all said they didn't have time, or were going to charge me $1500, or were outright rude on the phone. When I found the number for Roger Labonte I was at my wits end, but I got someone super helpful on the phone right away. I explained the situation, and I explained (what no other company was willing to listen to) that the water was already filtered and clean and just needed a UV filter added to an already perfectly good system. The person I spoke with said: "so you don't want to pay for anything you don't need, that makes sense, let me call our service person right now, see if they will fit you in, and make sure they know to do just what needs to be done, don't replace anything that's already in place in and functional working." I was a bit stunned by this reasonableness, and more stunned still when he called me back within minutes to tell me they would fit me in no problem. And even more stunned when it was all done and I got the bill. They could have taken advantage of my position and they didn't, and that's huge. Everyone I have spoken to at this office has been super friendly, super bilingual, you can tell by their voices their like each other and the work they do. These will be my plumbers of choice up North from now, I am super thankful to them for making a stressful process much smoother and kinder.
