amazing hike with incredible scenery!…read more we paid the extra and started the hike from P3. it still ended up being right around 14 miles (including a couple detours we took). it's a strenuous hike for sure, but you don't have to be in top physical shape to do it..just get an early start and take breaks as needed. we started around 7am and we're done around 3pm. we took lots of breaks to rest and take in the sights. the troll's tongue outcropping. we got here right around 1130 and the line was about 20 minutes long. not really a big deal as it was fun to talk to other hikers and learn about where they'd traveled in Norway. weather was perfect for us with a high around 70. we also cut back on how much water we had to carry by filling up at a fast moving stream after the second emergency shelter. this hike is definitely worth the time and effort. you'll be rewarded with some amazing views and a sense of accomplishment

I would advise against the day hike with the guide. I was notified that the road up would be closed…read morea few weeks before my scheduled tour. No big deal things happen. Stunning waterfall near Odda, Norway!! If your lucky, then you will find one of the few parking…read morespots available. The waterfall is easily seen from the road. If you want to get a closer look, be careful crossing the road because there are many vehicles driving along this busy road. So what makes Låtefossen so popular besides its accessibility? This waterfall has two streams which join together. Not everyday that you can see a waterfall like that. Its hard to get the whole waterfall with both streams in the picture. There is a stone bridge (that is the main road) along the bottom of the falls which makes the picture even more incredible. My pics do not do Låtefossen justice cause I did not get the correct angles or locations to take the photos. Well, I will always have my memories of Låtefossen. Highly recommend stopping by if you find a parking spot. This waterfalls is magnificent!
