What a terrible experience…read more We essentially received a shoddy amateur tile job for a premium price. The pride and quality in the workmanship was basically non existent. The result of the wall tile backsplash application in the kitchen was laid out crooked / uneven with incongruous gaps - some wider, and some almost non existent to fill with grout. After we pointed it out, he refused to fix / correct the mess he created, and he adamantly blamed it on the tile. For someone who claims to have years of experience, it was an unacceptable and lame excuse and a very poor example of his 'ability'. We had no choice but to fire him and finish the job ourselves. It's yet another huge disappointment and inconvenience we've had to put up with in our continued home renovation journey. Unfortunately, this is also another poor contractor we can add to the sub par list.

I'll give a 3 star because they did show up the day they said. And, once I notified them of a…read moreproblem, they fixed it. However, when I spoke with them to start the service, I had to give a detailed list of the issues. I asked what the cost of the initial visit would be, as I'd already had an offer of $150/initial visit. I was assured it was a FREE inspection and only if they needed to do work to figure out the problem would there be a charge and only after we agreed to the charge. Ok. Day of service, a young man comes late. He says he has all of my notes, but hasn't looked at them, so he wants me to tell him the problem. I do. I take him and show him the septic tank, which was part of the complaint. He takes a picture, tells me he has to call his boss because he doesn't know anything about septic systems. ??? He sits in his truck for awhile, talking to his boss. Comes in, says we need the septic pumped out before they can do anything. And they have a truck to do that but he doesn't think it's available. That'll be $98. That's it! So, I emailed the company, explained the situation. They were sorry, but explained that the initial cost will be returned if we don't use their service or applied to the work they do. Didn't I ask this very thing in advance?! So I obviously found a different company to do the work. I did get a refund check - but what a hassle. Not an upfront company.
