Later that night, Saajida texted me letting me know she had a timing conflict and did her best to accommodate to my working schedule. I loved everything about this place, really. She is super sweet, courteous and cool. She was waiting for me and had everything ready for my appointment. She even gave me a bunch of tips on how to deal with my sensitive skin pimples after waxing. I really appreciated that. Saajida is amazing!! I went to her for a hybrid eyebrow tint and lamination which I had never done before. First she is warm and welcoming and eases your way into the experience. She is very skilled and explains everything throughout the whole process. I haven't gotten any sort of eyebrow procedure in years. It always freaks me out. It's one thing if a few hairs are missed on a bikini wax, but enduring an eyebrow misstep is really just a terrifying prospect. Let's just say when I found out about tweezers in middle school, I got - shall we say - "tweezer happy". Since then, I have at least handed the reins over to the professionals, but have yet to find someone I'm fully comfortable with. Enter Saajida and her lovely assistant Tiffany. Getting my eyebrows done was actually a spur of the moment decision, so Saajida was all booked up. She assured me, however, that Tiffany was also great, and that she'd inspect/consult/fix if needed during the shaping. Now, I haven't had the full Saajida experience, but between her and Tiffany, I ended up with beautiful brows. My eyebrows are naturally a bit uneven in terms of where they grow out and the general shape. It's not "that" noticeable, but it's certainly something I mention if I ever get them done. Saajida said that's actually pretty normal - we're not 100% symmetrical - but they do their very best to even 'em up. We can't all be Lucy Hale (though, I did tell Saajida that I wanted my "brow game to be on fleek"...ironically, I promise). These ladies take their time and are incredibly meticulous. It was also surprisingly painless. I have a high pain tolerance anyway, but I've been far more aware of my hair being ripped out of its follicles in past experiences. Not the case here - incredibly gentle. Last note: there's just an awesome vibe in here. It's basically a studio loft, but there's positive, calming energy here. Saajida has a big personality so there's no danger of just having to lay there like a corpse, silently hoping that everything turns out okay. read more

I went to Saajida back in 2018 and I can't tell you enough how amazing she is at what she does. She listened to my concerns about my thinning brows due to previously over tweezing them and gave me great advice about growing them back. Found Saajida about 3 years ago when she used to work at Rouge in Long Island. But I then started going to her Manhattan location. My eyebrows were not in the best shape when I first started going to her. My eyebrows also take a long time to grow in (before i learned about Castor Oil Life saver!) She told me it will take a while but she can get them back to where they used to be. She doesn't thread, she waxes which is so much better. I absolutely love her. Your eyebrows are basically the foundation garment of your face. If you're wearing a gorgeous designer dress, but you have on a tired bra that's making the twins drooptacular, or you passed on the Spanx you need so that instead of sleek lines, you've got love handles and four asscheeks, you're detracting from your own hotness. A unibrow, twin caterpillars, or a pair of drawn-on MacDonald's arches have the same effect on what is otherwise a pretty face. In short, it's important to make sure that your eyebrows are not only well groomed, but also groomed in a way that enhances your facial features. Saajida makes this happen, pure and simple. She's Anastasia-trained, and although she used the stencils (when I met her, she was at an Anastasia in one of the Times Square Sephoras), her work was highly individualized. She's so good that I was getting an altogether different variety of waxing service at the West 57th Street location of a well-known high-end day spa and the technician commented on how great my eyebrows looked. She's that good. Her prices are, in my opinion, perfectly reasonable ($35 for the eyebrows, which includes a mini face massage and brow make up when she's finished), and she spends 30 minutes working on you, and I have never once been dissatisfied with her work. The best thing is that when she's done, you are good to go for at least three weeks (obviously YMMV here). Because your brows have been waxed, cut and tweezed into shape, all you need to do is hit them with a brow brush, if that, and you're out the door in the morning. Do this; you need this. read more
