Looking for a salon in Sydney is daunting. There are a ga-zillion of them, and few credible resources out there for finding a good one. Many of the rating sites seem to include straight out accusations that the owners were posting the reviews.
So with little to go on, the detective work began. Criteria were: Surry Hills / Darlinghurst, Professionalism (i.e. when I call, a person answers the phone with the name of the salon. Disqualification for: "hello?" me: "Um, is this - salon name - ?" Them: "Yeah."). Experience - the more years in the business the better, bonus points for a cut with the owner. Disqualification for: "Yeah, she's from Europe, so ..." Final criteria: scarcity. Great, experienced stylists always seem to be in demand.
