After watching years of romantic comedies and Getaway episodes I had come to the conclusion that the most relaxing and indulgent thing would be a couples massage. A massage where you both lie in the same room, face-down on tables just far enough apart that you could still touch each other, rainforest music playing in the background, the room softly lit by candles, fluffy white towels draped over your back and legs, as a masseuse walks on your back, aided and balanced by poles coming from the ceiling. The massage therapists at Sabai Thai know how to treat you. Whilst relaxing, their massages are strong, deep and satisfying. And, if the massage itself wasn't enough to loosen you up, the final five minutes of stretching (in which they twist your body in ways you're certain it's never moved before) leaves you feeling at least two inches taller and with the flexibility of a muppet. I have walked past this establishment hundreds of times. The entrance and reception area looks more like a living room (with armchairs and a telly) so at first I though it was a small family owned business type of thing. I decided to make an ad-hoc appointment on Sunday afternoon after a particularly miserable weekend full of hardcore partying, high heel wearing, and general physical exertion. I felt a little guilty cheating on my regular spa, but I was desperate. The good thing about these guys is that they are open 7 days a week and until 10pm so getting an appointment is not as difficult. I called at 11.30am and they offered me a slot at 12.30pm. I was going to get the 30minute foot reflexology treatment and the 10 minute head, neck and shoulder massage. I wanted the 15minute head, neck and shoulder massage, and kept trying to tell the lady on the phone, but she just said, "No, you do total 40minute treatment, ok?" After several minutes of trying to unsuccessfully explain, I glumly agreed to her proposal. She didn't explain why she wasn't able to go the full 45 minutes (another appointment after maybe?) It was just 5 minutes anyway so I gave up. I went in at 1230pm and was ushered into a dim room with some typical spa music playing. The room was quite large, but there were TWO massage beds! Was there going to be another customer lying next to my naked self?? I was told to take off my pants, and wear a pair of plain cotton pants which were laid out on the bed (by now, I was REALLY hoping that second bed remains unoccupied). The therapist came in and began my reflexology treatment. OH MY GOD. Homegirl had some skillz. The therapist had nimble fingers and was physically strong. She rubbed this balm all over my legs, and it kind of felt like that Deep Heat/Tiger Balm stuff you put on your muscle injuries. She gave my feet the baddest rubdown EVER. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THE FOOT MASSAGE. DO IT. DO IT NOW. After 30 minutes of bliss (I fell asleep somewhere around the 15 minute mark and forgot to worry about the empty bed next to mine) she told me to sit up as she wanted to start on the neck/head/shoulder massage. No lubricant (giggity) was applied to my neck or shoulder area, and she massaged the area for 10minutes. This part of the treatment was good, okay, but not great. Probably not something I'd go for again. I also have major shoulder related injuries, so I had to keep telling her to be gentle. My total bill came up to $50 for 40 minutes, which is pretty reasonable!! I did have one major concern with this place however. Prior to my appointment, I was not asked about my medical history or any physical injuries. Nor was I asked to sign a waiver form. If you do decide to go to Sabai, I recommend informing the person at reception AND your therapist about any injuries that you may have, or if you're allergic to any products. But do the foot massage. Just had the Aromatherapy oil massage for 30mins. It was fab, the atmosphere was lovely and very relaxing and the oils they used had such an amazing smell. Really calming. Definitily would go back again read more

I have been to this place for a few years now and always enjoyed the massage there. But on my last visit Saturday 15.11.2015. It was not pleasant to be honest very horrible experience. I received the massage from this young bloke. He started the massge with one hand (I felt strange as it has been always two hands massage). He indeed did half of the massage using one hand. Same time I heard the phone was vibrating all the time. I thought it was my phone as I was expecting a friend visiting me at the time. Anyway by the time massage finished, I didn't received the normal massage routine I did before for 1 hour massgae such as my arms. I didn't feel too happy about it but being polite I didn't say anything. When I finished, this guy took the payment and said there would be 5% on credit card charge which I knew already. By the time I walked out feeling unhappy then I realized that 5% surcharge based on $65 was $3.25 but this guy charged me $4.00. Now I felt that I need to say something about my expereince. I called the shop literally within 10 mintures after I left the shop. A gentleman named BIlly answered my phone call. It took about 10 minutes to explain to him what happened. He apoligized which I appreciated it and said he was just a staff. But they were going to have a meeting by the end of next week and he would give my feedback to the owner and contact me then. Happy to wait. By Saturday 21.11.15, no phone calls at all. I called the shop myself and Billy said he was busy and would call me back. He did and rather than offer me an apology and nothing they could do. I said that's fair enough if that's the owner wanted but I am happy to contact the fair trading regarding my experience and the overcharge on surcharge. Now he said he would call the owner and call me back. He did and said please come tomorrow being Sunday 22.11.15 to get my full refund. Got there on time, the young guy who did my massage was there and asked me why I didn't say something if I was not happy. I said to him it's not my job to advise that a professional massuer shouldn't have their phone on him not to mention use it during the massage time. Anyway there was no apology from him and all I heard is it was my own fault not to say something to him. I told him that I didn't want to spend time to argue with him and Billy already agreed to refund me. Please give me the money and let me get out really. Here is the most funny part, he said we are sorry we only can offer you half refund. FINE. I accept it. He handed me $30 and that's it. I asked to him what's the half of the $69 I paid for and it was $34.50 according to my calculation. See when he charged me he run up and when he refunded me, he run it down. I tell you what, I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE EVER. It probably won't make much difference to their business, I still want to express my anger and frustration.
