I've learned a lot over the last several years about judging books by covers, judging meals by presentation, and judging restaurants by their location. Yes, there's not a lot here that immediately makes you think "Thai restaurant" when you look at it, but that's really not relevant. While vibe and ambiance can't be totally ignored, I think it's most useful to judge a place by the content of its food, and though it's been a minute since I ate here, I can think fondly of the meal I had. A few of us gathered here to give it a try, and once you get past the family diner BBQ feelings, you're ready for some good, down-home Thai food. There are plenty of classics--expect to find your faves like spring rolls, pad thai, curry--but also a few stir-fry type dishes that you might not see at every Thai spot in town. Also, I seem to recall a sweet roti was on the dessert menu when I visited and that's not something you see every day. And there are lots of options to swap in tofu if that's your jam, or go with the regular meat add-ins on many of the dishes. All in all a really nice night, no complaints. I mean, going anywhere with a group these days would sound nice, but pre-COVID this was a great spot for just that. read more

The building is a nondescript concrete block building that screams steak and potatoes inside, but the food really wasn't too bad. The waitress didn't ask how hot we wanted our food and it all came without any spiciness (which was a fail). We need to remember next time to tell them to increase the spice on our food. When we went, there were families with small children there, which means that they have pressure to keep their food "family friendly". We had a stir fry and a curry and deep fried spring rolls. The stir fry and curry were both good and mildly flavorful. We'd pass on the spring rolls which were supposed to contain glass noodles, carrots and cabbage, and in reality had bland unseasoned cabbage, served with a sweet and sour sauce (a water-like broth also lacking flavor). I think they need to decide if they are a family restaurant serving very mild food or a Thai restaurant serving intensely flavored dishes. Perhaps a name change to Sabaidee Family Thai would cue customers in that this is a family-friendly, modified Thai food. Our server was very nice. read more

Hidden gem if I ever saw one! This place was recommended to us by family and now our search for amazing Thai food in North Utah county is over. The outside decor is simple, the inside is cozy. We were seated pretty quick. Service was very fast and efficient, although not very friendly or talkative but honestly, it didn't even matter to me once we tried the food. It. Was. Amazing. Finally, a local Thai place where the Massaman curry is full of flavor! We also ordered fresh spring rolls which I hadn't tried before. They were yummy, especially when dipped in the included peanut sauce. They gave the two of us a very generous amount of white rice. I could only eat half my meal. We did wait around 10 minutes for someone to bring the check but we were so happy with our food it was all good. Definitely check this place out when you are craving amazing Thai food. read more

So one of our great laments in moving to Utah is leaving behind our favorite Thai in the AZ. We have tried a few, most average at best with one very notable disaster (check out reviews if your curiosity gets the best of you) They are all pretty Americanized for the most part. Some local friends were kind enough a couple of weeks ago to take us to this their favorite Thai place. Since they are transplants from the west coast, it felt like a reasonable risk. The deco is pure log cabin with the top dress of a Thai place, apparently it used to be a bbq joint or diner or something. So the wooden elephant carvings and pictures of the king are way out but still give the points for trying. We are here for the food. We liked it well enough that the wife and I made another run. Ratings: Potstickers: 5 stars I know I know you are raising your right eyebrow at me but the flavors are pure Thai inside, and you get sweet chili sauce to dip so there! Tom Ka soup: 5 stars Not my usual choice as I really like Tom yum, but our friend said it was really good and it was! Great blend of coconut lime and other flavors Tom yum soup: 5 stars Spicy sour and just drinkable. Their version is as good as I have had. Pad Thai: 3 stars Just average at best which is disappointing. Tastes more sweet and sour sauce than tamarind. They at least give you plenty of limes and peanuts. Portion much better second go around. Noodles were good. Pad see ew: 3 stars Better than the Thai but portion was small and skimpy on the see ew stuff. I sense they struggle with the noodle dishes. Wide noodles were much better than the Thai noodles. Massaman curry: 5 stars I don't really care for massaman but this one was excellent! Depth of flavor was really good Panang curry: 5 stars I got a 3 on the heat and it was the right call. So flavorful with the balance on the spice and tamarind and other flavors Pineapple curry: 3 stars A complete miss and not sure how this happened since there other ones were so good. Weak profile and a few small canned pineapple pieces Overall service was excellent, and the people running the shop were super nice! I would guess they just don't get enough people who appreciate good Thai food. I think there is potential here! read more

One of my favorite spots to recommend! Honestly, Sabaidee hits the spot. The portions are huge and everything I have ever ordered here has been full of flavor. Today, we ordered the spring rolls as an appetizer, which went well with the sweet and sour sauce. This was the first time I tried them and will definitely get them again. I ordered the pineapple curry, which was super flavorful. The yellow curry is also a favorite of mine. If you go with the curry, it is incredibly filling and I can never finish it in one sitting. This is a Thai restaurant for people who don't like Thai food, and there must be a lot of those because it was busy on a Friday night. The Panang curry was watery with its lack of flavor attempted to be covered up with sugar. The Tom Kha Gai soup was really sweet with no complexity or tanginess. And the Pad Thai had one flavor - you guessed it, sweet, and would have killed a diabetic. When we complained we were told by the manager that, "That's how they make it." They brought us a better noodle dish with some flavor when we sent the Pad Thai back, but there was still a lot of sweetness under the spice. The restaurant looks like a converted Western steakhouse with no hint of Asia, but it is clean. Service isn't friendly or professional, with no sense of urgency. By far the worst Thai food I've ever had. This place would close in a week in California. read more

We started out with fried egg rolls that were delicious. The sauce with them was excellent. We got a massamen Curry and a ginger vegetable and chicken dish. The flavor of the curry was good the vegetables were cooked very well although the chicken was thin and overcooked. The ginger vegetable dish also had the vegetables nicely cooked with overcooked thin chicken. The sauce however was not tasty it tasted too much just soy sauce . I wouldn't order any item on the menu with this soy sauce with Thai chili. It was like a soft base that needed additional flavoring added to it to make it delicious. They have a capacity of earning a four-star with t curry but not with a thinned out sauce. I'm looking for a great Thai restaurant close by that has what it takes to make me a loyal customer. read more

This is the workplace favorite around the silicon slopes. Lunch hour is a madhouse but they have large tables that can hold a good amount of people. Great quality Thai food, large portions, and a very large varitey. The Tom Kha and just about every curry is the best I have found in Utah. Don't come on Valentines Day or maybe it's because it's the weekend, who knows. It's our first time here. They are NOT prepared for crowds. Seems light on employees, we were seated at 7, and given water. Waitress finally greeted us at 7:20 and then brought drinks. We ordered soup and potstickers for appetizers, along with a main dish. At 7:45 we still have no food in front of us. I'm disappointed in the service tonight. We've seen many people come in and pick up orders. It would have been much faster to order food to go. We'd have been out of here long ago. I guess weekends and especially holidays are the wrong time to try to have dinner here. Update: Food came to the table at 8:03, all of it at once. So in order to eat it while it's still hot, we had to plow through it. It was better tasting than we expected. Really good Thai food and some of the best in Utah county. It's not "knock your socks off" but good enough that it's often a place we'll stop by for lunch. (They have a great lunch menu) It's definitely worth stopping in if you're in the mood for Thai food. And beats out the other places in Lehi pretty easily in my opinion. You can't go wrong with the classics of Pad Thai and any of their curry. The owner is also super friendly and a huge part of why we love it here. read more

We tried Sabaidee for the first time tonight. They were busy since it was a Friday night, but they still seated us within 10 minutes, and our food also came out within a timely manner. What a diamond in the rough! I was in the Lehi area running errands, and was very hungry. I was kinda not near anything, but saw a Thai Cuisine, so I decided to stop by and order take out. Gentlemen that seemed to be the owner was extremely friendly, and greeted me at the door. I told him I was in a hurry and would love some Red Curry to go. After consulting with him, I decided on a 4/5 on the spicy scale. He then asked me to take a seat. 3-4 minutes later, my food was done and I paid and left. In my car, I opened it up and started earring on the way....BAM! My taste buds exploded. I was so surprised how a shot in the dark like this could wind up being so good. So i pulled it up here on Yelp, and it all made sense. This place is just really, really good. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes. Fresh and delicious Thai food. I like their fried spring rolls as an appetizer. They are crunchy with the right amount of veggies and glass noddles inside. The sweet chili they serve with them makes a nice addition. Sometimes I want to order these as just a meal. This last visit I tried the Panang curry as hot as they made it. I'm usually not a huge egg plant fan but the amount of egg plant in the curry was minimal. The curry had a sweet flavor with a ton of chicken. The spice level for me was perfect. I do like spicy food. Their spice level was not hot enough to bring tears or make me sweat. It was a comfortable heat that added spice but didn't overpower the flavor of the curry. I would definitely order this curry again and have the same spice level. One thing for people who are not regular patrons to know: when you're done with your food, you go to the register in the kitchen area to pay. read more

We love this place! Such a random hole in the wall type atmosphere but the food freaking hits the spot every time! Great for large groups but I recommend avoiding it on the weekend if possible--it gets super crowded! The food is delish. Some of my favorite pad Thai I've had! It's very sweet and flavorful. Love going with the whole fam so we can get one of everything on the menu and share it all! Don't skip the coconut soup appetizer! Such yummy flavors! We usually see the same people working each time we go and they are always quick and friendly. Love how great they are at keeping those waters full. When I first came to the restaurant in Lehi, I was surprised of how packed it was. We had to wait little bit just to get a table. I wish I would have know sooner about this restaurant because it was super delish. Its a hard to find restaurant but once you know the location, you wont miss it. The food was great. I came here with family so I don't remember the names of the plates but overall everyone enjoyed the meal. The dish I got is called "Sabaidee Trio" It comes with three types of meat and its curry. We had a bowl of rice so we can mix the curry with. The food is great. I would definitely come back here again. Advise: My wife and I got the same dish, I got one with extra meat and she got one without. No difference whatsoever. Just FYI. Food is still great tho. read more

The food definitely did not impress. We were excited to try as the ratings were so high. We ordered Thai basil chicken, a noodle shrimp dish, wontons, pot stickers, and Thai tea. The chicken was dry, and other then the spice/heat the flavor was very bland. It did not have depth. The shrimp noodle dish was mushy and almost tasteless. The pot stickers were dry, bland, and almost crunchy not crispy. We have never had a pot sticker like that. The wontons were again boring. The Thai tea was not bad. We won't be back. The interaction with the staff was bland too lol. Zero smiles. Zero thank you,s and zero returns for us. Pretty terrible experience. Ordered on the phone, they said 30-40 minutes I left my home 30 minutes after hanging up, they said 30 more minutes when I walked in the store. I asked if they could take down my number and call me when my food was ready cuz I was gonna wait in my car, and they laughed and said no. Finally I come in about 30 minutes later, they hand me my food holding the bag from the top, and the liquid in my not-sealed-at-all containers starts to spill. I grab it from the bottom (to balance it) and feel it immediately, so I say hey this spilled.. some other employee takes it from my hands and says to me "that's why you need to hold it from the bottom, keep it balanced." Blame the customer, thanks. Then I got home and the food was trash-tier. Anyone rating this place high has no taste buds, I'm convinced. We are obsessed with the Thai food here! Our kids love the appetizers, and we love the curries. The potstickers and wontons both come with sweet and sour sauce. The satay comes with a delicious peanut sauce. The massaman and yellow curries are our favorite and come with plenty of rice. The massaman curry is very mild, sweet and savory. The yellow curry has a nice warm, flavorful heat, about a medium spice level. Even though mom and dad can handle more spice, it's nice that the kids can enjoy some of our food too. We also ordered a side of steamed vegetables (not pictured) to add to our curries that included a variety of cabbage, bell peppers, carrots, bamboo, zucchini, and broccoli florets. This! This is the Thai place to go to if you're in Utah County. Incredible flavors, every dish is on point. I've had a good portion of the menu, been many, many times and they've never failed to deliver. The owners/staff are so friendly, happy to assist in any way, and really know what they're doing. If it's your first time, I recommend the Tom Ka Gai (incredible coconut milk rich flavors) and the Trio curry (one of the best curries I've had). The mango sticky rice for dessert is another must. I thought the food was pretty good. I usually just go for the pad thai. There's plenty of seating inside and I liked the chill service. I mainly give the 3 star rating because of some of the Thai places that have stood out to me outside of Utah. But within Utah, I think Sabaidee is pretty on par with what I've experienced. This has to be the highest rated Thai joint in all of Utah county. I was pleasantly impressed by the food. The curries were nice and thick just how I like it. The egg rolls were great too. I came in today to pick up an order there was a guy there with glasses doesn't say hello doesn't say thank you seem like he was not wanting to be at work today and wasn't friendly towards a customer for this reason I would never ever ever ever order food for myself or refer it to anyone else he was approximately in his 20s wearing her glasses and wasn't grateful or thankful for the service but he had got the chance to make food for someone maybe he shouldn't be there maybe he needs to work somewhere else where Judging by the amount of business that I did not notice in the parking lot which means I was the only one there tells me only one thing you need the business to stay open so being nice to people and thankful and grateful that they came in to your restaurant to buy food keeps money in your pocket doesn't it I suggest this kid get an attitude adjustment or a different job read more
