The girl at the counter barely acknowledged me, which was a surprise after the grand welcome I got last time I dropped in. Plus they will give you a free makeover whether you just want a new way to wear your eye-makeup or you actually want an entire skin care lesson. Brighton Collectables- They have the biggest selection in BCS of jewelry, and I'm pretty sure the other stores that carry Brighton don't have their other products like handbags or shoes. The ladies that work here are very helpful and if they don't have a piece you're looking for they will special order it for you no problem. Vera Bradley- A few other places in town carry this line as well but none of them offer the personalized customer service that this location has as well as such a large selection. Hair-U-Wear- They have wigs and hair pieces out the wahzoo!! The hair pieces they carry are very high quality. I got one of the ponytail ones just for fun. I love using it when I'm having a bad hair day and believe it or not I get compliments! They also have a ton of little random gift ideas as well as clothes. The clothing is more geared toward women who are 40+ though. Texas isn't just honky tonks and BBQ (though our BBQ is da best!); we are an incredibly diverse state and this show really does a great job of highlighting that. I'm a life long Texan, but I've learned about so many cool and quirky places around the state from watching this show. The store offers all sorts of Texas related items. Mugs, cutting boards, t-shirts, etc. You can find a lot of cute TX themed items. They also sell merchandise of places they have featured on the show. One of my favorite merchandise items was from El Arroyo in Austin (for those who don't know, El Arroyo is famous for their snarky marquee messages). They had funny puzzles, mugs, stickers, etc. We probably stood there for a good 5 minutes just reading all of the funny messages. The young lady that was working was very sweet and helpful. Unfortunately Shane (the host) and his wife weren't there, but there was a life size cardboard cut out of him that you could take a picture with lol. The TBL Hummers were parked out front which was cool to see. If you're a fan of the show or are looking for TX themed merchandise, this is a great little store to visit.
