Great ambiance and gorgeous minimalist decorations. Perfect for larger groups and small groups alike. We ordered artichoke, tempura veggies, and a fish appetizer to start. All three were spectacular. The artichoke was perfectly grilled with olive oil and salt, and the fish was made with potatoes and served on top of a cracker - I could have eaten 5 of these! Tempura veggies are served with a couple of in-house sauces which I loved, but they definitely aren't a "must-order." What did disappoint me was the fish I ordered. I had the battered hake with potatoes and found it lacking in overall flavor. It didn't feel particularly flaky, but rather quite dense and heavy. I wouldn't order this again! They had tons of dessert options that looked delicious as well. Definitely a great place for a nicer meal.

The artichokes were AMAZING, the pasta with red sauce was was terrible. The Milanese was ok The truffle burger was ok, nothing extraordinary. The desserts were good. We got the tiramisu and the apple tart and they were ok.

First time in Madrid - this place had a great vibe and atmosphere! I personally preferred the margarita over the Bloody Mary as it tasted overwhelmingly of tomato juice (and little of anything else) Food - La bomba is meat (beef, pork) filled potato and it was yummy, probably my fave of all the tapas we tried. Chicken dumplings had a nice crisp and nice sauce but taste was just OK. Tacos were quite good! Nice flavor and creative presentation with the sauce in the pipette for you to pour. Lastly was the salad made of fresh arugula, beets, tomatoes, peppers - a great end to the "meal" and ironically was the warmest thing we got. Other tapas served lukewarm.

Our reservation was around 7, and it was quiet until it got closer to 8:30pm. It seems like the food has some Japanese influences, which made the food more delicious! My favorite dishes were the fried green tomatoes with goat cheese (the combination with the jam and arugula made it that much better), scallops (they gave us a little pipette to put teriyaki sauce on it, very creative!), and the Spanish tortilla with iberico stew (meat was tender). We were pretty full but left room for dessert. We had the sticky toffee pudding, and it didn't disappoint. There was a scoop of ice cream on top and the toffee sauce poured over it. It melted in my mouth. Their tinto de verano was very refreshing and probably my favorite one I had during my trip! Wish I could go back, it was that amazing of a meal!

Owner was really friendly. We were looking for a place near our hotel and found this place on Yelp…read moredown the street. They have a menu of raciones (entrees or full portions) outside the restaurant. We decide to dine there even though the place was empty. Soon found out there was a 30th birthday celebration party going on as people came in shortly after to prep for it and enjoy themselves with drinks. Food. We got the Spinach Salad with Bacon, Dried Fruits & Nuts. It was simple, but tasty. No dressing, but the owner supplied us with a bottle of olive oil, vinegar and salt. Bacon was salty, so no need for salt. It was good. For the other entree, we got Salmon with Potatoes. Turns out it was french fries. Gosh, the Spaniards really like fries and potato chips (been serve that a few times on top of or other than olives). Wasn't feeling coffee (espresso) after the meal, so didn't get to try it. How do the Spaniards sleep drinking espressos all the time after dinner especially when dinner for them is at 10pm? Boggles my mind. Anyways, the food was delicious. Very much like home cooking. Service. Service was pretty good. We walked in unsure if they were open as the place was empty and tables put aside. Asked for a table for two, only to find out the restaurant owner doesn't speak English and we spoke pretty much next to nada Spanish. We managed and sat inside as it was cold outside. They have three outdoor tables & seats. The owner seemed asked the cook to be our server cuz he spoke some English. We managed again and thereafter was fine. Both the owner & server/cook were courteous and friendly. Asked what we wanted to drink and brought out bread (decent) and olives. The olives were very green (Hulk & Shrek looking colors), but tasted not bad. The bill. We were pleasantly surprised by the check. It was only 13.5€. One salad, one fish dish, one beer, one bottled water (they always serve bottled water at the restaurants in Spain when you asked for water)...all that for 13.5€? Wow! We tipped super duper generously cuz service was good, food was good and it was so inexpensive. The cheapest meal we ate on the entire trip (excluding on the go meals). So, if you're in the area, don't hesitate to check them out!
