We decided to check this place out for date night and the menu had us excited. When we arrived on a Tuesday it was empty, but we didn't mind, and we chose to sit outside since it was a nice day. We only saw 2 workers the whole time we were there which made sense with how slow it was. Ordered some drinks and they were not the best. My partner did not enjoy his at all since it was basically just margarita mix. We quickly noticed that the prices on the menu were modified, handwritten new prices with pen on paper than was then taped over the old prices, with many dishes having increased by $5 compared to the prices shown on their website. We get it, inflation has been crazy, but that seemed drastic. The food was fine but in our opinion definitely not worth the increased prices. My dish (Rib Eye) was a good portion size and the flavor was fine, but it didn't blow my mind. The Arroz Poblano was a very sad portion size. Service was very slow throughout our whole visit, which is wild because we were the only ones there. An explanation on the delay between drop ins would've been nice. Sadly it just didn't meet our expectations and I'm not sure we will return. Maybe it was an off day for them, because many other reviews are filled with praise, but as of now we'll just opt for other Latin food spots we know. read more

Top to bottom one of the best restaurants in Dallas. For starters we had the Ceviche Chincharron, which was amazing! I also got to try a chicken empanada which was very well done too. For entrees I ordered their braised short rib. I am a short rib snob, so believe me when I tell you that this was the best short rib I ever had. For dessert, I had the Tres Leches, which was amazing! The service was also on point, and the interior decorations were quite beautiful. An amazing restaurant that deserves more than only five stars! I can't recommend it highly enough!!! read more

Came in here in a late Tuesday evening. Dining room had a lovely decor (if you're not facing the big TV playing the menu slideshow on repeat) and the wait staff is very very nice. My wife and I decided to only share some starters since we wanted to try a little bit of everything. The fried cheese taquenos were very nice and kind of had a sweet flavor we really enjoyed. The chicken tinga empanadas had smoky and bold flavor to them the green sauce on the side made them taste even better. The quesobirria tacos were good but were not great. Have had better and would probably opt to try something else next time. The ceviche caribeno was top tier. One of the best ceviches I've had that I can remember. It's a little pricey but at least it was worth it. Would love to come back and try some entrees. read more

Hubby picked this as an anniversary dinner because of an activity we were planning to go to about 10 minutes away in Richardson. We were the only people there on a Friday night which was a little bit puzzling since it's a beautiful space very well decorated. There were about two wait staff there and they were extremely welcoming and kind. There's a lot of seafood on the menu and a lot of meat so if you are a vegetarian, I think it's a tricky place to go to. We got the empanadas 1 beef and 2 chicken. They were really nice to offer the mix to us because we were torn and that's not on the menu. The chicken is better and the waitress did say they had a little bit more flavor than the beef . We also got this breadstick cheese thing, but they were sliced into small pieces which is fine with a good green sauce. And then husband got a short rib with purée cauliflower and another starch that was not potato. It had a good flavor, but it was a little bit more gel like so it appears to look like mashed potatoes, but it is not. Still tasty though the short rib was good. I am having tendency to think all short roti taste the same lately at restaurants with no real seasoning distinction so you get what you expect. Skinny margarita was okay and didn't get a second one. All in all cute place and hope it gets more business. read more

Found this gem of a place that mixes latin flavors from Peru, Venezuela, cuba, Mexico, etc!! The worst experience I've had in a long time! We had reservations and waited 15min before being attended. The host had to grab a server for us and it still took another 5 minutes for her to attend us. We ordered everything at once since we realized there was a long wait. Our appetizers and entrees came out at the same time but we received no silverware and our drinks had still not came out. The sides to our dishes were not what were listed on the menu and various items were missing. My steak was not only overcooked but slightly burned on the edges. The mojitos tasted like lemonade. The only thing that met expectations were the empanadas. Overall just not the experience that we expected based off the reviews. read more

Took my friend Tatiana for a birthday dinner and I have to give it 4 stars of excellence. The only reason no 5 stars is a limited menu(but very wonderful meals)and our waitress brought out our main meal before the appetizers. But the food was perfect! Normally I won't eat the whole meal, but the strip steak, finger potatoes and asparagus was so good I cleaned the plate! Both our steaks were cooked to perfection and very flavorful. This place is absolute amazing. I would put this restaurant up in direct competition with Jose, Mi Cocina, and Javier's. This place is a small, beautifully decorated place. The margaritas are strong and the service is beyond what you would get at any of the restaurants I mentioned above. The food was above and beyond. VERY fairly priced too!!! staba buscando en los alrededores un lugar para comer agusto y diferente y la web me arrojo "una excelente opcion". Revise detenidamente su pagina web, su ubicacion y obviamente el menu, quizas me forme altas expectaivas antes de tiempo pero decidi manejar mas de 30 minutos a este lugar tan prometedor, de acuerdo a su mercadotecnia, excelente diseño de la pagina web por cierto. Al llegar al lugar, nos sentaron y nos tomaron la orden de bebidas pero cada lugar que vamos tiene algo para empezar incluso antes de ordenar aperitivos pero aqui no, tuvimos que esperar que nos tomaran la orden y esperar bastante tiempo para poder probar bocado. El lugar era mas pequeño de lo que imagine, habia pocos clientes pero si note que el mismo joven que estaba de hostess, tambien estaba de mesero, bartender, busser, corredor y cajero, razon por la que el servicio se hizo muy lento. El fue muy atento en todo momento pero si hacia falta al menos una persona mas, todo tardo un poco mas de lo esperado, la comida tardo casi 40min a partir de que llegamos, lo mismo paso al final cuando necesitabamos la cuenta. De aperitivos pedimos Mandoca Pop, muy dulces, no los volveria a pedir. Tambien el Ceviche Rocoto que estaba muy simple, quizas hecho de tilapia, pedimos algo crispy para compañar el ceviche y nos ofrecieron crispy plantain chips. Desde el menu se siente que se inclina mucho hacia cocina peruana, creo que como latino siempre un ceviche se acompaña de algun tipo de chips o tostada, esos chips tardaron en llegar incluso mas que la comida principal. Es lamentable que un lugar con tanto potencial, se vuelva para mi al mnos un lugar para no volver, porque ni hablar de la presentacion de la comida y los precios. Hasta el vaso de agua es de tamaño para un niño, pedimos arroz poblano y venia en plato plano lleno hasta los bordes del plato, quizas una taza de arroz dispersa en un plato plano como base de la proteina. La cuenta rebaso los 100 dlls por 2 pesonas que pidieron 2 arroz, 2 bebidas y 2 aperitivos, Las 2 estrellas son porque el arroz tenia buen nivel de picante y en temperatura perfecta. When I am in Dallas I look for really good food in really nice places. I found Sabores and I found a jewel of a restaurant in a beautfoul location that delivered excellent food and service. The atmosphere, the full Bar, and the comfort of the space is as perfect as the food, drinks, and stellar service. I started with the Calamares Apanados, next was the Ensalada Cesar, and for the main it was the Rib Eye A La Parrilla. The food was perfectly prepared and absolutely fresh. On my next visit I will be sure to save room for the delicious looking deserts as well. read more

I made reservations for my wife and I. It was our 22 anniversary. I was a little nervous as this place had not been open for a very long. I went in a few days earlier as I wanted to speak to someone about the anniversary. When we got there Saturday at 7:00pm the parking lot was empty. I got more nervous. We walked in with only 1 other table being used. I looked over to the server I met on Wednesday before. He noticed and recognized me. My wife picked the table and he immediately brought two glasses of champagne. Our server, a great one at that, brought the Mandoca pops right away. They were fantastic. We ordered a plate to go too! My wife wanted calamari. We got an order of delectably breaded that came with a wonderful sauce. Our entree's were Arroz De Mariscos and NewYork Strip Asado. They were so delicious. I almost got a tear in my eye as the night was turning out to be better than I could imagine. The conversations with our server. The "blow my socks off" flavors. The wonderful desserts. This place is a hidden gem! We will be back with family and friends. As I talk about Sabores Latin House to friends and coworkers, I will try not to drool.
