Refuge Student Ministries for Grades 6-12 every Wed night at 7. Refuge Turning Point Small Groups throughout the week. St. Anthony's has provided wonderful support for our three children, and the consistency of the love and good-natured friendship from this congregation has never made us question our choice of churches. Father Matt is a good teacher of our Faith. We are lucky to have a young Priest that is understanding of the world our youth is living in today and can connect with them, as well as having the maturity to earn the respect he deserves from the elders and of those in between.

Each service begins and ends with a energetic set of contemporary Christian music with a lengthy, but contemporary lesson in between. There are also a few informal prayers. Since the services are full of attendees and don't have the typical 'passing of the peace' that requires you to move around greeting strangers, its a very approachable and enjoyable church to attend. I'm a frequent drop-in at this church, not a member. I'm an ELCA Lutheran and a member of a local ELCA church. However, sometimes I need to get my 'Christian jam' on. When I do, this is the place where I come for a contemporary Christian service. Despite the number of services offered, the church is always filled and friendly. While it lacks the ceremony (communion, creeds, etc.) I'm accustomed to, I appreciate the passion and level of activity that Woodlands offers. Three services every Sunday (8, 9:15, 10:30) filled to chapel and gym capacity. Plenty of weekday social groups and activities for all age levels. If you're new to the Stevens Point community, I can't imagine a better place for your family to meet others. Attire is casual and coffee is plentiful.
