Not exactly what I expected when a pressure washer head broke down that I rented from Saddleback equipment rentals. And trust me this review is not bad because the pressure washer head broke down. It was the automatic blame by the owner or manager without any thorough investigation at all. They did not test the equipment prior to me renting the equipment nor did they test it when I returned it. This place may be great if your rental doesn't break down. But don't expect them to be kind if it does. By the way Home Depot has much better pricing on the rentals and are very polite with customers. read more

We have used Saddleback for the past 8 holidays, not sure what took me so long to give them a thumbs up. It quick and easy! They will actually do the loading for you, not just bring your chairs and tables to you truck and expect you to load it yourself. You might ask why the 4 stars if they are go great? Well because they are a company we wil always use, but the 5 star has to be for something really over the top, something that stuck out and made me tell 10 other people about, so I'm gonna save my 5 star reviews for that and IMO, 5 stars are pretty darn good and trustworthy. FIX YOUR PHONE SYSTEM! You're website says you are open seven days a week, but when i called, the phone just rang and rang. Finally being picked up by the voicemail, which asked for me to enter my party's number or if I didn't know it, enter 00. Upon entering 00, the system repeatedly asks for my party's extension, then hangs up. read more

I called up to get a price on renting a 16' truck for a day and I was quoted $49.99 + .79 a mile. I purchased the additional liability and property damage insurance for an additional $41.75 a day. J Raya completed the paperwork and indicated they had a night drop off. I dropped the truck off after hours. I had driven the truck 18 miles but when I called in the next morning Mr. Raya had told me I drove 74 miles and had already charged my credit card without calling me and had already sent the truck out. I was charged $198.00 when all was said and done. Unethical business practices. I will not go back here again. I went to budget rental and got the same truck a couple weeks later and paid a total of $81.00 read more

One of the few places that rents a stump splitter. Home Depot didn't have them anymore and I thought I was out of luck. Called this place, made the reservation and was able to do the job. Now I have plenty of fire wood. I'm pleased with the staff that was expecting me and helped me load the unit. They gave me great instructions on how to use the 3 ton machine safely. David A. My review specifically addresses the EXTRAORDINARY service your counter person named "Jorge"provided to me this day. I capitalize that word because I can't think of any other word that expresses my feeling more adequately. The total of his service went so far beyond not only ones expectations but even one's imagination. The complete story of his service would be too long but I will just say it included: (1) a very positive input & explanations of a problem I had the previous day with a sod-cutter I had rented from another good rental company. Even to state that I could rent it again from them if I chose to, bring it to him and he would show me how to set the blade to make it work. (2) If I chose to rent one from Saddleback, he would come to my home and ensure I was using it correctly. That meant a lot to me because I was not 100% certain that I would be able to function with it ( I am a healthy, older man, and pretty should I could , but watching it work would be extremely helpful). My plan was to remove the grass in my parkway (40 yds in length). I am extremely smart, so I rented it at Saddleback, Jorge followed me home, unloaded it from my pickup, and started to show me how it works in one small section of parkway. He cut all of it, then moved to the next part (3 times longer). I said "OK now let me try." Jorge, said "I'll just do this part too". I protested, but he just continued, then he moved to the longest part and did it completely!!!! I was fabergasted!!(sic). He then asked if there was another area; I could hardly speak, but was able to say "no". He loaded it back up in my pickup then he went back to the shop. If one would check Contract Number 01-242251-02, it would show that I rented the sod-cutter at 10:01 pm and returned it at 10:46 pm of that same morning. It had been my plan to rent it for 24 hours knowing that it would take me many hours. I just cannot explain my reaction to the unbelievable service he had performed for me!!! I had never met Jorge before nor had he met me. I truly believe, and told Jorge so, that this was truly "a God thing" (other "believers" will know what I mean.) I am certain this does not happen very often, and would hope that other "reviewers" would not expect the workers at Saddleback to do their job for them, but for me, I am just plain grateful to the worker named "Jorge". Every neighbor and person in Orange County that I know will hear my story of "Jorge" at Saddleback Rentals. I will never rent from any other company. read more

I ordered tables, chairs and tablecloths for a dinner party. The delivery was supposed to be for today between 10-2. I had called to see if I could get a more defined time frame. Someone needs to be home and I had to run an errand. The gentleman looked at schedule and said he would have them there anytime after one pm. I went across town and heading home when at 1157 they called and said they were at my gate. I explained where I was at and they said no problem, they would make a quick delivery and come back in "one maybe, one and half hours". I was home at 1220 and waited, and waited, and waited. At 330pm I called the store and the person who answered said they would be there between 4 and 430. Then we hung up and I realized he never asked for my name, so how could he give me a time frame? At 530 I called again and no answer and at 545 I called again but no answer. So here it is 738pm, we cancelled our dinner reservations, just to be here for the delivery, which never occurred. I have a dinner party in less than 24 hours and have no place for people to sit or eat. Let alone, all the errands I need to accomplish before our guests arrive because I was home all day waiting in vain for a delivery. No phone call or text was sent to update me or to let me know it would be delayed. Here I sit with cancelled birthday dinner plans and hoping our dinner tomorrow is not ruined as well. read more

I felt in great hands when I met with Jorge to order my rented tables, chairs & Linens. I had asked him if I could make changes and call in a different credit card later. He said absolutely, but make sure you do it no later than the Wed before the event. I called with a different credit card and request to make all the linens 1 color, instead of the 2 I initially requested, before Wed. I did not speak to Jorge but was assured all would be taken care of. The day of the event, the driver showed up 2 hours late. It made the party set up very stressful for us and we were still setting up when people started to arrive. The first time I called, I was told I would be the 2nd stop, because they didn't have a delivery time. I had the contract in front of me and saw that I absolutely gave them the time of 9am and requested they have the driver make my delivery first. They agreed and said the driver was heading out shortly. 20 minutes later I called back and was told the driver hadn't left yet because he had family issues. He showed up after 11pm with 2 linen colors. I tried to reach Jorge to explain to him what had happened. Every time I called, I was told he was either out on a delivery, or left for the day. I then left my number 3 times, for him to call me, but I never got a call back. I just received the cc charge on the wrong cc. I'm so disappointed. read more

I rented a trailer from these guys, but was running a few minutes late, gave theme a call and he stayed open a few minutes late to help me. The Guy Said I Got It For 24 Hrs, But Because The Weren't Open Til 530 On Sundays If I Had SD it back by 730 Monday he wouldn't charge me another day. On the way back I got a flat tire, called theme to let them know, and when I got there at 930 he still kept his word, no extra charge. I've rented from u haul, and it was a few bucks cheaper, b UT it was also only for a few hrs. They had already rented my trailer to someone else without telling me and when I came in 30 minutes later shooed me out for returning my trailer late. avoid you all use these guys they are great. read more

Delivery window was given as 9am - 1:30pm, but delivery was made at 2:30. Saddleback did not call me, I had to call the company to make sure my order was on its way. The chairs and tables were filthy with dirt and cobwebs; obviously no attempt was made by Saddleback to clean them. The tables were in such bad shape that they were splintering, and my daughter cut her hand on an old staple that was stuck in one of the tables. I used Saddleback Rentals for a moving truck and must say the customer service or lack thereof was incredibly unprofessional to say the least. The Penske trucks are great however if you are going to rent one I would suggest you go somewhere besides SADDLEBACK EQUIPMENT RENTALS. What's awesome about the level of professionalism is that, I was assured a transaction would happen one way and when it did not happen in the way they assured in fact the opposite I was spoke down to and cursed at by the manager Steve. They might have everything you could need but they sure don't care about your time. Both on delivery and pickup they were no where near the time they said they would be here and left us waiting around on them. Even after calling them back each time they would just push us out by an hour. if it wasn't for the dance floor in the house they would have found their stuff in the driveway...that is when they eventually got here. Very poor customer service and quite frankly they didn't seem to care either. And the worst part...we are literally blocks away from them and they couldn't even make it in a 4 hour window. read more
