But if your kid is the happy-go-lucky popular kid it won't be as bad but still this school does absolutely NOTHING about bullying. They say they do but honestly they can't do squat. I was bullied so badly that I considered suicide and they didn't do shit! Their rule is that if something happens you have to have at least 2 witnesses. But if everyone that sees it hates you and wants bad things to happen to you, then you end up the one having done something bad. I ended up suspended a lot or in ISAP because people said I did things I didn't do. I have a friend that still goes there and is pretty much the same story as me. I was always told stand up for my self and the principals took that as "rattliation". Like REALLY!? What the hell do I do if people are bullying me and the teachers and principals can't do anything about it!? I ended up in an IEP just because they thought i had problems thinking I had ED and ADHD. They thought i couldn't make friends but it was because everyone hated me and they literally laughed in my face when I said that. They forced me into a special class where I had to "learn" how to make friends. I know how to make friends! People just hated me and your making my life worse! When I said "so and so is one of them" they laughed and said " dude that person is so nice I cant IMAGINE them doing that they would never do that!" Really!? Open your fucking eyes because things go on in that hell hole you wouldn't even imagine. I now go to a new school and now I get how messed up that school was and the teachers and principals alike! Sorry for all the words but I hardly got into everything else that happened. If you are a parent reading this, I strongly recommend that you don't send them here. If you are a student, don't go there cuz u will really really regret it. If you are a teacher or principal, BRYAN MIDDLE SCHOOL IS FUCKED UP! I will never forget the spot landing contest he organized and all of us student pilots competing trying to land as close to the 5 pound bag of flour as possible. We had a blast! I went on to pass my FAA written exam and fly a 500 mile 3 leg solo cross country. This experience gave me so much confidence and I owe it all to Mr Leroy Walters.

He was a SS teacher but also taught about 10 students how to fly/obtain our private pilot's license. He was the best teacher/influence I've ever had in my life. Unfortunately, in 10th grade, you don't really realize it at the time. However, the man changed my life. I became a teacher because of him. He helped develop a passion in me about flight and aerobatic flight. He was such a decent, caring man even when he made me take the Cessna 152 to 5,000 feet to practice stall/spin recovery. Not sure which of my teachers are left, but look for Larry Hays and Shiela McCarthy. Both are outstanding. I must say that the last time I went back to see the school I got lost due to all of the renovations. When I started at this school, they still had some of the original buildings. The faculty was young and innovative in their teaching methods, which pushed me to think critically and be an individual regardless of peer disapproval. The facilities were unlike any other high school I have seen, clean, up to date, and just top-notch all around! The administration was a bit troublesome at times because I felt that the school was more of a corporation rather than a educating establishment. While attending I had many mixed feelings regarding the entire school but now that I am in college I feel that I was blessed and lucky to have been able to attend such a fine school. The people, however, were all the same. And when I say the same I mean the same upper-middle class kids who sport designer labels and conservative ideologies of their parents. Being the free-spirit I am, I found it extremely difficult to "fit in" one single group because of my liberal values. I felt that there was not enough diversity and many of the students tended to be extremely close minded because of that. All in all, the school is great (the parties were on par as well, Ha) and if you are able to take a tour of the buildings you will know exactly why I think so highly of the place.

They will scare your kid into being silent when abused and bullied, and convince them to stay in school despite it affecting their mental health. This isn't because they're going to help your kids get through it, this is to protect their numbers so nobody finds out how awful it really is there.
