Jim and Trent were awesome dock hands! it's always stressful coming into a new Marina when you don't know where anything is at or how to get off the main channel and into the Marina. Jim answered the radio immediately and walked us through the entry. All the Safe Harbor Marina's we've stayed at Iuka, Mississippi to Stuart, FL have been a step above the others we've stayed at. The view is nice, but the management there is horrible. They play favorites. The food and bar area is unsanitary, the manager plays on the clock more than he works. The cook is wonderful he makes the best wings I heard they fired him I hope he finds better they treated him horrible working in 80+ degree weather and promised some type of fan system due to the heat and only the bar area was given THREE FANS completely ignoring that the cook needed it too. read more

Dates: July 3 - 6 This was our first stop after taking the Okeechobee Waterway across Florida. The dockhands and dock master were all incredibly helpful. Our slip was right next to the dock office and we got to see first hand how friendly and welcoming each employee was with everyone that came through. Your stay here gets you access to the pool, a workout facility, laundry, and showers. They have a golf cart shuttle service to get you to/from the docks. We used the service every time we did a grocery delivery from Walmart. They are equipped to hook up dock carts to the golf cart to get heavy loads back to your boat. There is also a great restaurant on the property that we went to for several meals. We stayed over the July 4th holiday and had a wonderful experience. A pool party and games were held for July 4th, and a fireworks display went off right outside the marina. The dock layout protects you from the current and there is plenty of depth if you enter at the fuel dock. Warning to boats with a deeper draft - the fuel dock is not where Navionics shows it to be. The entrance is further out in the water and the dock itself is in the center by the dock office. There is signage and the dockhands are very responsive by radio. 10/10 would return. read more

We stayed at Harborage for a month. We chose this marina because of the two pools. We enjoyed the bar and grill at the north pool and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful! I have never had better French frys and we loved the Texas burger and chicken Cesar wrap. I felt every staff member loves their job. The marina has mobile pump outs and water with 50 and 30 amp at each slip. They also have fuel and a pump out station. The docs are all new clean composite (Treck Decks I think). It's going to be hard to leave such a spot close to restaurants and grocery stores ( 1 mile to Publix) and friendly staff. Well done managers of this place it is clean pleasant and we will be back. read more

Safe Harborage Marina in Stuart, FL is 5 star all the way. If you are looking for a friendly marina with the best dock hands and office staff that can answer your question you must stay at the Harborage. I've traveled the Intercostal from Maryland to Key West in my Viking motor yacht and The Harborage is the most friendly well run Marina second to none. It is so well manage and has so much to do for boat owners. It has Pot Luck dinners, free paint lessons on canves, free gym, free water aerobics, discount on fuel for boat owners staying at the Harborage, Happy Hour at the pool side bar. Tidewater restaurant is right at the marina, downtown Stuart is less than 1 mile away, I have now been here for several months and I have decided to make Stuart my final destination because staying at the Harborage feels like home. Another weekend where we can't leave the dock! Sitting on the bottom at high tide (5.5 draft) . Absolutely ridiculous! The marina is not maintained and having a conversation with management is crazy making ... clueless!!! The place has so much potential but can't seem to get there. read more

This marina is now known as the Loggerhead, and is part of a group that allows visiting privileges to other marinas on both the east and west coasts of Florida.Of the Loggerhead marinas, this one has slightly lower fees than most, so with the visitation policy, this can be a real plus. There are two parts to the marina, one with floating docks (closer to the bridge and parking) and one with fixed docks (closer to the facility amenities.) Some months this place looks like a ghost town. There are usually slips available for to the general public. Since the city of Stuart no longer allows parking in the spaces near the bridge from 2am-6am, parking can be a little more of a challenge for those on a live aboard. The Harborage/Loggerhead also has a number of condos, and those owners have spaces under their buildings. Even though the marina is now owned by the Loggerhead group, all the signage outside still says "Harborage." There is a small pool, bar/cafe and restaurant that can be used by the boating crowd. Condo owners have a food/beverage monthly minimum, but that is not a factor for those renting slips. The facilities are nice and kept well, but nothing fancy or worth writing home about. The location is very convenient to downtown Stuart, grocery stores, etc. It is a little less convenient than the Marriott- Hutchison island marina if you are looking to get out to the blue water fast, or if you want a more resort-type accomodation. On the flip side, the Loggerhead/Harborage location is also much more protected and further inland for hurricane season and lots of the folk live there full time, so they are a little more friendly. They are dredging the inlet right now, as the water can be pretty skinny getting out from the intercoastal. Definitely something to think about if you draft deep, but good to know that it is being addressed. read more

We stayed for a couple nights in the marina. Staff and marina is just terrific. Beautiful accommodations. Restaurant - Tide House was really good and ate there twice. The only feedback I would provide for the facilities is they advertise bikes but they haven't gotten yet, the fitness center should have towels and the steam room and a couple showers were not working. Other than that very well recommended. read more

This place is aesthetically pleasing but it's a disaster. The parking problem is so bad that tonight I saw at least a dozen cars get booted and most with guest permits in the windows but whom parked in a wrong spot because all the signs are the same color. They have signs for vendors, apartment unit owners, vendors, marina north, marina south and if you park in the wrong spot - you get a 150 dollar boot. The problem for boaters is that there are only approximately 38 parking spots (yes I counted them) for boaters on the north end all the way down to the bridge. The place sold out the boaters in favor of the restaurant which has exclusive prime parking spaces and lots (despite also having valet). If you like trains, the very active tract is real close and that Multi blow train horn is real loud. If adult entertainment is your thing, it's a short walk actress the street to an adult club. For us giant thumbs down this year. read more

Really like the marina location which is one reason we chose Stuart and Logger head. As we are new to Florida my wife and I wanted to explore the state and see where we might want to put down more permanent roots. With the reciprocal agreements between all of their marinas it was a perfect choice for us. Our new (older boat) needed some upgrades which we tried to accomplish in one of the local boat yards but had to finish up in the water. We had several friends who lived aboard before they changed policy and they gave Loggerhead great reviews to us. We had planned on making it our homeport prior to the change. Even though the marina is going though some issues with local condo residents and thus marina only 25% full, the staff has been outstanding to my family in assistance on and around the marina during our stay. They have kept up the facilities on the dock and are very friendly in how they go about their business on a day to day basis. Whether its helping you with their golf cart bringing things back and forth to the boat or placing water for your pets at the door to the club entrance and offering it at the dock house, cause it is a walk from shore. all of the staff are helpful and friendly, Steve the harbor master is a real professional has done an excellent job with his staff. It is close to downtown and other amenities and love the Stuart atmosphere. If they are able to have live aboards we will definitely be back. read more
