Company is a rip off. Overcharges, doesn't take care of this client's. Would NEVER RECOMMEND!!!

I'm not reviewing Safeco Insurance in Lexington in particular, tho I suspect they are the ones I dealt with, but rather Safeco in general. One of their policy holders backed into my parked car in a parking lot that he actually owned. Safeco decided to total my car (for a damaged bumper and a couple of cracked lights) , and will either pay me around 8 thousand dollars for the car, or "let" me buy it back from them. Then, since they declared "totaled" (again, it needs a bumper and some cracked plastic over the tail lights) I would have to apply for a salvage title that is very hard to get. According to what a representative at the repair shop told me on the sly, they will sell my car at a car auction for twice what they paid me. It is a car with low millage and no engine problems that I could have driven for several more years, but now have to replace it for a MUCH more expensive one, because I can't replace it even with a rust bucket for 8 thou. Nice scam you guys have running. Your mothers must be proud of you for cheating an elderly person out of thousands of dollars. read more
