Stopped in for a back window replacement after some losers broken into my car in the crime loving city, and honestly after having my morning start off with a disaster the team at safelite was able to get me back on the road in no time. The window looks great and it's been a few months since the work was done and I haven't had a single issue with it. I think they do a great job and the cost is worth the hassle that can come from using other places in town which I've unfortunately had to experience but I would absolutely recommend Safelite every time! read more

I went online and was quoted $596 for a quarter glass replacement (that included a $50 promo discount). I called a few other places that all quoted way lower prices. Lowest I found was at $365 plus taxes. When I called and spoke with an agent to see if they price matched competitors. She said she'd try. When I told her, she said she couldn't get anywhere near $365. I said okay. Then I asked about the $40 recycle fee and if that could get removed as all the glass is gone (nothing to recycle). Her response, "we did give you $50 off already to help cover that fee". How does that make any sense. If I were you... call around and go elsewhere. Just my two cents. read more

I had my windshield replacement scheduled at the end of August. Go figure they give you a two hour window. The tech called me about 5 minutes before the end of that window to let me know he was running late. It was an additional 30-40 minutes before he finally arrived. He was quick and the installation has so far been great. We also ordered the rain protection which the tech said he couldn't do since he didn't have the spray or whatever with him. He said it would be refunded in 5-7 business days. Well, no refund. Our receipt even says we would get a refund of $48.41. I called to check on the refund. They had the manager call me back and he said he would take care of it and our refund should be sent in 5-7 business days. Still nothing! I've talked to corporate and these people want to send me a check but not including the tax they charged us. I'm not even sure that's legal. May have been a few dollars but still could be tax fraud if they do it others. Here we are in October and still no refund. We won't be going to this business again. read more

The Safelite representative said my complaint has been "escalated" to the store manager and district manager. I haven't head anything further. Had a shattered side window on a two door car. Made appointment with these guys, earliest one was ten days out. I booked it but continued to look for something sooner. Every other place said two weeks so I figured ten days was better. Two days before my appointment they rescheduled me for another week out which made it later than the other places I called. If I had known it could have been done sooner elsewhere. The invoice showed a $40 glass recycling fee but they didn't take any glass to recycle since it was a shattered window, so they charged me for services not rendered and they keep ignoring my communication on the subject. I'm about to dispute the charge on my card since I'm not in the habit of giving away money for nothing. read more

I brought in my Kia Telluride for a replacement on my front windshield got it back at the end of that day the cover to my camera came off went back and they asked if they could put tape he said its strong tape and if I have glue it will take a a while to have it set and it's best to put tape on it to stay well he was wrong about that, considering how much this vehicle is he could more effort into my suv and how much I am paying which is $500 to get it fixed I think more than tape he should of done better on top of that his communications was not good He should of said and Safelite said this well since you have a Kia Telluride it is best we order and replace it with a Kia Telluride windshield made for it and not one of our basic windshields we use on our customers they gave me a windshield that is not adaptable and not made for my vehicle because my cameras have to be balance now and with the correct windshield somewhere else Satellite refused to give me half my money back when my services were not complete and they took our money without making the customer happy and for us to come back again now we won't be taking our vehicles to any Satellite anymore knowing this is how they do business considering how much money they make and how many customers come in I don't think $500 to credit back to a unsatisfied customer would kill then now would it !!!! read more

My car was recently vandalized-it's a Kia. Someone knocked out the glass in the rear passenger window. My insurance website transferred me to Safelite for the repair. I was quoted $357. Not knowing better, I paid the fee to get scheduled. Thinking this was an obnoxious rate, I went back on that site from my phone. Lo and behold, I was quoted a fee of $197. Interesting. I went home and logged onto the site from my home computer. Same request. This time the fee was $212. I cancelled my original reservation. The site said due the cancellation there would be a "cancellation fee " and they kept $50. Under their terms and conditions, it says they can withhold money for "fees", but doesn't identify the amount they withhold. Please beware of their shifting fees. I am going to write to the upper management to get my "cancellation fee " refunded. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I was traveling from NC to CA when my windshield was hit with a sheet of ice, this was in January of 2024. I booked an appointment at this location. I thought my car was fine, When I received my vehicle it was dark out so I didn't get to see all the adhesive glue all over my car. In Arizona, I started to notice that my rear mirror was shaking a lot. I remember that you have a ONE-YEAR warranty with Safelite to fix any issues after the car leaves the shop, it has to be under their doings. I ended up noticing my car had adhesive glue all over the paint so I booked an appointment with a local safelite in Los Angeles where I live and I let them know that the rear mirror was loose and that my car had an excessive amount of glue on the paint. The technician that came to my house explained to me that he was able to fix the rear mirror but couldn't get all the adhesive glue off, that it seemed like they kept putting their hands on the car when they were working on the windshield, they had glue on their gloves and smeared it all over. He said that Safelite should reach out to me after he lets them know. I had zero calls and I waited two weeks. I decided to call them and they ended up transferring the call to the manager of this location he apologized and I genuinely believed him that something was going to be done. He told me that he would give me his personal number and I could text him the photos of the vehicle. He would get back to me, guess what? absolutely nothing but silence. I've contacted customer service several times through email and phone calls. I've been told several times to take it in locally which I have and they told me that they aren't responsible even though they are all safelite. That I have to contact that manager and guess what? I'm here stuck still trying to speak to this man who's incompetent at his job and does not keep his word. He left me a voicemail once and apologized that he wasn't working the day that customer service reached out to him. NOT THIS MAN acting like I've left him a message once? DUDE I've BEEN TRYING SINCE APRIL, WE"RE IN OCTOBER NOW. At this point, you're just waiting for the year to reach so you can just tell me to fuck off because it does not cover anymore. read more

They removed the retractable sunshade and threw it in the back seat. Turns out, they won't put it back once the new windshield is in place. Very frustrating and unexpected, as that hasn't been our experience in the past with other companies. Safelite is less than a mile from our house so we thought we'd try them out. First and last visit for certain. Lowest score possible, in part, due to the customer service chat with "Daniel E." whose immediate response was lazy and unhelpful......, "Sorry that happened. You'll need to call customer service." when I simply asked if that was a common practice at Safelite. I made an appt for windshield repair. They delayed the appt a week of so because they had to order the part, makes sense. After dropping the car off, taking my wife to work, returning to Safelite to drop off the keys they started to work. Only to find out they didn't order the right part and can't find the right one. I asked them to check the dealer. After another 3 hr trip to get the keys, go get the wife, return to the shop to get the car. The young lady at the front desk was on the phone. I can see a manager type man talking and joking with 2 other workers. None of them are motivated or willing to help the front desk, so I'm just standing there. The young lady finally returns my keys. There was no communication between the workers to the front desk. This vehicle was a no charge ticket. I walk out with my keys only to find the young lady running after me in the parking lot asking for payment! I call the dealership, they will have my part in 3 days. Never to return! read more

DONT USE SAFELITE! What a terrible experience. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude. They replaced my windshield and noticed that they completely covered my VIN. I then had to wait 3 days to go back. They made the adjustment, I then noticed a clip from my mirror wasn't installed, so I turned back and they installed it. When I got home I opened the hood to double check their quality, and noticed all of the clips holding the plastic base along the bottom of the windshield were all broken off and not replaced. I called them and they had me go back AGAIN. Now I noticed that the rubber gasket along the top isn't installed right and it's wavy. Never again am I using Safelite. I'm not going back. I'll just have someone else replace my windshield next time. Don't come here. read more

Came for a second rock chip repair through our insurance. Pretty easy to set up online and thankfully our insurance is good. Courteous staff, employee walked me through the process and explained everything, said there's a 1-2% chance the chip spreads, it was also very close to the edge. Unfortunately, I fell in that 1-2% and now have to replace the whole damn windshield. These new ones with the sensors and re-calibration are so expensive. Decided to hold off for now, gentleman kindly explained it's not necessarily a safety hazard to have a rock chip that has spread a bit as long as it is not in your line of vision - you could get pulled over if it is, but let's face it, APD doesn't have time to pull you over for that. Starting about 20 seconds after an appointment is made and continuing until weeks after the service, you have to call them to beg them to PLEASE STOP EMAILING ME. I used Safelite in July, 2023 - there was damage done to my vehicle, they stated they would fix it - It is now mid October, it still hasn't been fixed, everytime I call, they delay - say the part is on order, someone will be calling me this day or the next, no one has ever called me. I went to a local dealership to see why the -parts they ordered take so long- the local dealership stated that they could get them in a couple of days. 03/19: Have a crack, get a new windshield. My insurance company partners with Safelite so went there. We have lane departure warning, plus auto braking if we get too close so there is a front camera. We were directed to one particular location where they could recalibrate the camera. After installing the after-market windshield they recalibrated the camera. 06/19: Warning light on dash. Go to dealer. Camera has almost caught on fire because it was not reinstalled correctly due to after-market glass. Camera fell out when dealer opened the camera area and there were scorch marks in there. Contact Safelite - get the run around. Why didn't I bring vehicle with a warning light to them? Who sees a warning light on the dash and goes to a windshield repair firm? Oh did the dealer touch it? That voids your lifetime warranty. No, the dealer didn't touch it until it fell into their hands because it wasn't reinstalled correctly! After trying for 2 weeks to get satisfaction I contacted USAA, our insurance company, who took over dealing with them. Thank GOD we had USAA who stayed on Safelite's rear until we got OEM glass and a new camera! Even with their help we got the run around for months. 4 months after the camera first overheated we have now FINALLY finished with this company. 4 months. First time they attempted to replace the glass at USAA's direction, I was told I'd have a new OEM windshield. I showed up and OOPS it's after-market glass. Second time they called at 7:15 a.m. when I'm on my way to their shop and OOPS the OEM glass arrived broken. Third time all went well because USAA told them if I wasn't taken care of that day, the glass would be ordered and reinstalled by the dealership at Safelite's expense . At our request USAA insisted on a new camera and that it be installed at the dealership. Safelite promised that after I paid for the camera and installation (just under $1500) I'd be reimbursed within 10 business days. 9/9/19 (yes, 6 months after this all started) I sent in copies of my receipts via email for reimbursement. I don't think Safelite knows what 10 business days is because on 10/11/19 when I still did not have reimbursement, I gave up on waiting for Safelite and contacted USAA. USAA was told by Safelite that they sent my check on 10/11/19. It actually came on 10/19 via FedEx overnight and the check was dated 10/17/19. I sent USAA a copy of the check so they realize they were lied to yet again. Dishonesty runs rampant within this corporation, imo. I will say that one individual in the Albuquerque office, Michael L., did a great job at keeping in touch and trying to be on the up and up. Of course there were times he didn't call back or follow up, probably when I was asking for reassurances Safelite did not want him to provide. I would strongly recommend that if you do NOT have a great insurance company to back you up, GO ELSEWHERE for window glass. If you have a newer vehicle with all the safety options that require a front camera, INSIST on OEM glass and, GO ELSEWHERE for new glass. read more

Scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ahead of time for a power window that no longer rolled up or down. The day I take it in I get a phone call within 2 minutes asking "why is your vehicle here?". I tell the technician the power window no longer goes up or down. They proceed to tell me they don't have parts for a regulator and it will take a week or longer to order one. Why couldn't we have gone over this in the two weeks before my appointment? I'm leaving town in the vehicle in 3 days. This review is not necessarily about the staff at this location more so on the company itself. It makes promises it can't keep, so oversells, doesn't have decent communication during the process of having to "order parts". 2 trips to the location and almost a month of waiting and then dealing with a rude parts manager, I'm done. I'm sure they're good on basic windshield replacements, but if your car is not, then I recommend trying a local shop first with 4 stars. read more

Windshield Repair Called three weeks to get an appointment to replace a windshield. Phone system told me to do it online. Hung up the phone, went online. Entered in all information. Its a newer vehicle with the lane departure camera system. I had to check a special box to acknowledge a 're-calibration' would be needed for this replacement. I can't continue unless it's checked. Check. Appointment set for a week out. Week goes by, I take truck in. They instantly tell me they can't do the windshield replacement because it requires a re-calibration service that they can only do at another location. What?! They knew this already. I'm sent on my way with a new appointment for another week out at another location. Then, you know what the tech says? 'Next time, it would be better to call in to set appointment'. Seriously?! Oh, it continues...another week goes by (today) and I show up for the new appointment. Now three weeks out from originally setting appointment, I show up at new location. They tell me they can't perform the replacement because the windshield is out of stock. Are you kidding me?? Didn't they have it last week at the previously set appointment? Not one phone call. Not one mention of this 3 weeks ago at time of original appointment; not one mention of this last week when I showed up for the appointment; Then today, is the first time they mention they never had the windshield. Ever. It's on a national out of stock list. As I was leaving, a bit angry now, he said someone will call when its in. Really? No one called when it was out? Sadly, I have no faith at this point. So I call Safelite (not sure where these calls go to), run through the scenario, and am told "sorry". Meanwhile, my current auto insurance ends Weds. Guess I now get to try and get a windshield replaced on a new insurance, even thought the cracks and damage happened previously. Very, very disappointed in how all of this was handled. Came here they my insurance for some a small chip located directly in my line of vision so something I couldn't stand not get repaired. When I left the technician I stated I think I may have some more chips but the windshield will need to be clean to confirm. When I pointed out one possible chip he stated that was not one. However after the repair and a car wash he was wrong. I will notify my insurance but not spend another hour and a half to get these done. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. The worst experience ever!!!! First of all, the website was confusing so I accidentally booked the wrong service so after waiting 4 days, the technician came and was unable to do the needed work. He (joe) was fabulous. He did everything in his power to make a frustrating situation better! So we got rescheduled for me to take the truck into their shop, (what I was trying to avoid, but it would've been another 2 weeks with a broken window!) so we take it in, they replaced it and did a great job!!! When we went to pay, I asked the lady specifically if the regulator was replaced, she CHECKED WITH THE TECHNICIAN and he said no, it was not necessary. So then I asked specifically, so the glass itself was $647??? She said yes! So when we got home, we looked at the itemized bill and the glass was $330 and we were charged for the regulator that was NOT replaced!!!! So we drove back down and asked for a refund. Nope! They CANNOT issue a refund until Monday. So here I am on Monday and I have gotten the royal run around!! I have been passed from person to person. They act helpful, but still no refund. They are waiting to check AGAIN with the technician to RE-confirm that no he did not replace the regulator.... even though their receptionist asked on Saturday. So if you like good work, but confusing websites, very poor customer service, the royal run around, and being charged for services that you didn't receive with no refunds, then safelite is the company for you! read more
