Two hours into our 11 hour drive from Texas to Alabama (the 1st leg of a 2-week road trip), we took a rock to the windshield and had a crack! Knowing we'd be doing a lot of driving in hot weather and possible rain, we googled our nearest Safelite and ended up in Bossier. (Our son works at the Tyler, TX shop and insisted we shouldn't wait to get it repaired.) The guy and gal working in the office were so kind and friendly! Knowing our predicament, they gave us advice and instructions how to get it done quickly through our insurance (costing nothing) and were able to squeeze us in so we could get back on the road without too much delay in our trip! I had a SMALL little chip in my windshield. Safelite came to my job to fill in the chip so it didn't spread. Well I should have left it. When he was filling the chip the chip turned into a crack the length of my whole windshield. When I called satellite they said they are not liable and they can give me $50 off of a new windshield which was almost $400. Never will I use them again. read more

Came in to safelight for a repair on a half inch crack/chip 10 minutes later the tech came out and said, you need a new windshield and asked if i had insurance. the extent of damage caused by their attempt is appalling and unacceptable. see my google review on the website see below before and after photos.. read more

Went online for a windshiled repair job signed up and paid for the windshield repair online immeditaly get a confirmation with the date and time for 1 week later. The day before, get an email and text message confirming the appointment at my home. the text reads: "Your appointment is tomorrow! Just a reminder that your technician will arrive between 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM CST. We'll need your keys but you're welcome to leave them in a safe spot inside the vehicle." the morning of, I receive an email about the appointment with a picture and name of the technician. i intentionally took time off work for this appointment. come noon time, no message, suffice it to say, by 6 pm, no call and no one shows up. no text message or email. It was a complete no show with no explanation, then when I call at 6, no human being to answer the call. I have to wait til the next week to call. I call on Tuesday and they tell me it will be for the next day. Then yesterday, I got off work early , again, to be home for the appointment. I call once I got home, they connect me to a human, and this man tells me, there will not be anyone who can come do this job since they are overbooked.!!! After I explained to them how this is the 2nd time they have abandoned me and not followed through with their agreed upon time, the person says let me see what I can do, he puts me on hold, 5 minutes later, he gets back on the phone and tells me, there is nothing he can do! That is when I hung up and decided to make this review. THis is an extremely poorly run company. Extremely unreliable. Very bad customer support. I then called the national line, and told them what happened, they said they too would be upset, but he sounded like he did not really care. SO i requested a refund. then they sent me an email stating: "We have canceled your appointment to replace the windshield on your 2019 XXXXXXXXX. A cancellation fee and applicable taxes may apply. You will be refunded your original payment amount minus all taxes and fees." Can you believe this??? I hope they refund the full amount. read more

Brian has been doing this for about 20 years and has replaced three windshields for me - one in my daughter's Ford Fusion Titanium and two in my wife's Ford Edge SEL. Brian even touched up the dinged paint on the A-pillar that was damaged when her windshield was shattered on the highway - at no additional charge. That is going beyond great customer service but that is the way he works. He is extremely professional, outstanding at what is does, super knowledgeable, always punctual, very accommodating and a pleasure to talk to. Technician called and actually came earlier than my scheduled appointment time, which worked great for me. Very courteous and professional. My only complaint is that the windshield damage is still very visible. I've had other chip repairs that were much less noticeable. To be fair, the tech said it might still be visible, but it really doesn't look much different than before repair. Hopefully it won't form a large crack at some point. read more

I made a claim more than two weeks ago through my insurance company. They set me up with a local Safelite as they would wave my deductible. Reschedule for two weeks from the day of my initial claim, then I called to reschedule for a week later. A few days before my scheduled appointment, they sent me a message that our appointment is canceled because after 2 1/2 weeks, they were just ordering the windshield. I called other glass shops in town and they have the ability to get my windshield the same day, they just need me to tell them when I am bringing it. However, they cannot waive my deductible as Safelite can bc Safelite is owned by my insurance company. By the way, talking to someone at their service center is pointless. read more

I need to have all of the passenger-side glass replaced on my excursion. The rear quarter window is impossible to find. so I wanted to confirm the online quote that I received. However, you can not speak to a person.... so this company will never get any of my business again, your automated system has cost you and will cost you thousands of dollars because I will not recommend safelite to anyone and will post this to all of my social media. Rock hit my windshield and it couldn't be saved. I set an appointment with Safelite through my insurance company and it was very easy. From the time I made the appointment, I received text messages with confirmed time and price of new windshield if one was needed. On day of appointment technician called ahead and proceeded to my home to replace windshield. Replacement took 60 to 90 minutes. I hate that I needed a new windshield but the process was simple and technician was quick and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend. read more

He called to let me know when he'd be there, and arrived on time. He did a neat, professional job and even cleaned ALL the windows before he left. I had the good fortune of visiting this location today. I was advised by another business on Texas St. that I needed a regulator for my driver's side window because I was having trouble with the window going up. The other company charged me $57 just to let the window up for labor, and said the regulator would cost between $250-$300. When I called Safelite for second quote they advised me $185. When I arrived at 8:00 AM. my car was pulled right in. I was given some gourmet coffee while I waited , and 10 minutes later I was called to my vehicle. They discovered that I didn't need the regulator after all. Some pins had come off. NO CHARGE!!! I gave they a 5 star review because of their integrity. It was so refreshing to know there are still honest people in business. They could have replaced a billed me for a part I actually didn't need. All the employees were very friendly and professional. Customer service is horrible. Tried to have replacement of windshield done at home in Florida. Technician shows up, but does't have the proper windshield. Why did they ask me all those questions about my car if you don't show up with the proper one. I was leaving town so they scheduled an appointment with the Safelite in Louisiana. Was called to verify appointment, to be told they don't do mobile service on weekends. To top it off she tells me they don't even have proper windshield in stock!!! They were hoping it arrived before dark. Safelite in Florida calls to schedule their screw up with Safelite in Louisiana. The LA store knew exactly which windshield I would need, but they didn't have it. Safelite in FL knew which windshield I would need. Why didn't the LA store have it when I arrived in town. Plus the FL branch knew that LA doesn't do mobile on weekends. Why didn't they call me to let me know so I could have made my appointment accordingly. So NO communications within the company or stores. The run around I got was just a joke. I can say the technician was wonderful...that is the only thing I can say good about this company. read more
