When I asked if I could get an estimate, I was told that it cannot be done because she is too busy and is in a middle of something, and she has next appointment at 11AM (it is 10:10AM Thursday, not one single other customer around, empty parking lot). I went to different body shop which I used few years back located in St Charles. Day and Night experience. Busy place humming with activity. I got an estimate within 15 minutes and planning to set up an appt for doing the repairs soon. If you are looking for even a minimal level of customer service, business where they treat you as a customer, not nuisance, then Gerber Collision in South Elgin is definitely not the place you should even consider. I was very happy with their service from the start until the finish of the work…read more I had intended to get my windows tinted "eventually", but I just bought the car and didn't really want to take on another expense right away. However, my new car got dinged days after getting it and they were able to buff it out pretty easily. I was able to find the spot the work was done, but it took me a minute. I would be shocked if anyone who was unaware could even find the spot. While I was there, I also had my front two windows tinted while I waited and they did a good job. However, when I got the vehicle home I noticed that there was a decent bubble in the front driver side window. I contacted them the next day and they said to bring it back so it could be redone. At no point did I feel like they tried to push off the responsibility or try to get away from standing by their work. They fixed it no questions asked. I have no reason to believe that they wont also honor the lifetime warranty that they offer on their window tinting.
