They gave me a quote online - sent me a confirmation e-mail for the service that had a total of $456.01. Then they send me a appointment confirmation via text. I had no plans to change it so i just confirmed it, but i decided to click into the appointment and the price had changed to $581 ! What? Must be a mistake, so i contact them and they say my original quote - which they sent me via e-mail - was invalid and the new price was $581. If I had driven to Silverthorne from Idaho Springs for my appointment and found that out it would have been a very unpleasant experience. How do you just change the price of an appointment like that without letting me know? Absurd. Oh, but I did discover AutoGlass Unlimited who will install the windshield at my house for $432 - so that's the silver lining - I now know who to go to to get my glass repaired and safelite IS NOT IT. read more

Came here to say to get my windshields repaired. They were able to squeeze me in last minute on the weekend. The staff were sooo nice and welcoming. The business was very clean and open. I was offered water when I was waiting. The window replacement did take long and they also showed us how the previous shop inserted the windshield incorrectly and ensured they were going to do it properly which they did. I'm not sure how much the cost would be since it was covered by my insurance but we will be going back in the future for any windshield repairs. read more

Quick summary - no seal done between cowl & windshield; Safelite says this is OK & normal yet research shows otherwise. Can't say that I would recommend Ben nor Safelite in Frisco, CO - or at least I would advise caution before selecting them. I Scheduled an appointment a month in advance, scheduled from 08:00 to 12:00. Day of service, I get a call from Ben at 08:30 saying, "Bad News - you technician is sick. Can we reschedule for tomorrow?". I say sure. Another call from Ben at 09:15 says, "Good News, a technician is coming from Colorado Springs to Frisco and can be there in two hours". I responded, OK, no problem. I planned to be home all day for this adventure anyway. Approximately 12:30, Ben calls to state they are delayed but will arrive in a couple hours. Technician (Joey) arrives at 2:30 ready to go, and completes the job timely (1.5 hours), although he forgot to reattach my rearview-mirror, so he had to double-back to do that. I noticed that the cowl (where wiper blades are, looks like a big drain pan for rain coming off windshield) was not tightly sealed at the windshield and Joey states he will put two-sided tape between to adhere it.  Problem is he didn't add this tape across the whole cowl length, leaving a foot w/o it on each end - a void and air gap between the cowl and windshield. Casual conversation w/ Joey revealed that he had four other windshield jobs to do after mine, and he left me at 4pm. Most likely, he is in a bit of a hurry due to aggressive job scheduling by Safelite. No time to correctly seal the cowl to the windshield, and forget to reattach my rearview-mirror? Called Ben to review this issue, and he states it is normal and that the cowl is simply a cosmetic thing to hide the windshield wiper motors. Really? - so why the two-sided tape then? In the next breath, Ben states that this is a known defect w/ Ram vehicles - and that Ram knows about the gap between cowl and windshield. If this is the case (although Ben suggests several answers & bad excuses to this simple conundrum), it is a chance for Safelite to shine, and be good stewards for their customers - to step up and use a seal if it should be used, to mitigate the Ram defect, or at least advise (be honest & consultative) the customer so they can take proper action. In the third breath, Ben states that there are clips that should be used to secure the cowl - and the technician may not have had them - as he drove from Colorado Springs, versus the local Frisco store. Huh? You send out a technician who is ill-prepared to do the proper job? And even so - at the point he knows he doesn't have the clips - why not get them at that point?  Instead - do the job and hope the customer is dumb and doesn't notice? That appears to be the modus-operandi at the Safelite Frisco CO store managed by Ben. After a back and forth, Ben insists impatiently that he can't explain it better - that water infiltration behind the cowl at the windshield is normal, acceptable, doesn't matter, is a RAM flaw, clips might be missing, etc. At this point, I am confused & dissatisfied. Ben's style of talking is such that he talks over the customer, and interrupts the customer - so he may not be hearing nor understanding the real customer concern. Each time I tried to make a statement and point - Ben would interrupt and repeat what he said prior - or mention something different that he thought I might swallow. Ben states that I should bring the Ram into his shop and he will show me the clips. ha ha ha ha! Safelite mobile service is what I opted for, Ben. Yet he wants me to visit him to review fundamentals of his flawed service. Several hours of research reveals a consensus that the cowl should be sealed to the windshield w/ silicone or similar sealant - to prevent dirt, water infiltration. Multiple forums reveal individual experience w/ leaking into the engine compartment from the gap between cowl and windshield. Maybe this is OK for Ben's Hyundai car, but NOT my 2022 Ram Promaster 3500. read more

Worst customer service ever! And total disconnect between what the central call center says and what the shop will do. I hate using companies where you can't communicate directly with the location. Avoid this place if at all possible. I arrived 7 minutes late for my appointment after calling twice when I was stuck on Vail Pass. The operator told me no problem, so I drove all the way there. When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk, so I waited a few minutes more before opening the door to the back area. There were two guys back there who couldn't have been less interested in helping me and said I was too late and they were not willing to honor the appointment - one less car for them I'm sure. I called the central number back, and the district manager had pretty much the same attitude. It sounds like Safelite has just gotten too big to care about their customers. There are other windshield repair companies out there who might appreciate the work and care about their customers. I would try to find one of them. read more

The franchise manager Chad is a liar, a complete piece of garbage, and he treated me like garbage. I confirmed my appointment and was told that they had my OEM glass already in stock two weeks prior to my appointment. I confirmed this twice by phone, and once in person. Fast forward to today and I drive 50 miles to safelite only to be greeted by chad telling me that he doesn't have the glass. I said "you have two numbers on the work order. You couldn't have called me to let me know any time in the last two weeks? I would have understood and rescheduled if you had just given me the courtesy of a phone call." Chad responded by saying "he doesn't need to call customers about every little thing." GUESS WHAT, THIS ISN'T A LITTLE THING. I then got upset (and understandably so) and Chad cursed at me, said he doesn't need my business and told me to leave. If you have a nice car (I have a Mercedes), I would not trust this safelite location. If a manager can treat a customer this way, I can only imagine the quality of their work. HEED THIS WARNING. Great! Why? We could select the day and time of our choice online and we did. Chris gave us amazing customer service. We did not have to repeat information that we had already inputted in their questionnaire. He was ready with clipboard with our paperwork in hand and we were greeted by Chris and gave him the keys in less than 5 minutes of our arrival. The insurance and Jeep windshield stock we needed were taken care of based on a online form we had already filled out from the comfort of home prior to coming down. We walked to a nearby Starbucks and hung out and less than two hours later our new windshield was expertly installed and we picked up our vehicle.We received text notifications filled with reminders, options and a final one letting us know our vehicle was ready. These guys are awesome!! I recently had my car broken into and had to pay out of pocket so they had me come in early before the first morning appointment and got to work while I waited. I decided I ought to have a small crack in my windshield repaired while I was a Safelite so I filed a claim from the waiting room. My insurance company got me an appointment immediately in the same time frame and two technicians were able to bust it out and resolve my problems within one hour! This place exceeded my expectations by a large margin! I came in with an ugly starburst the size of a half dollar plus two smaller ones. Jason, the tech, was excellent...he removed a small sticker from the driver window without being asked!!! This company trys to steal business from other glass shops in the area. Safelite solutions and safelite auto glass are the same company. They say you are "randomly selected for an inspection" (it's not random it's any glass shop that isn't safelite). When they call you back to tell you that your claim was apoved (duh I already knew I was covered) they tell you they can have their mobile repair unit come to you. I have been on the receiving end of this crap and I don't appreciate it. I choose not to use safelite because of my past experiences and the past experiences of some of my friends, yet I can't get away from them. read more

We have used Safelite in other cities so we know the are good but our experience here was superb. Picked up a windshield chip on the drive from Texas to Colorado. It was a small chip but we didn't want it to get worse. Called the Safelite 800 number, gave them our insurance info, they made an appointment for us at the Frisco location, and we were in and out within an hour. The service techs in Frisco were excellent - very professional, thorough, and the waiting room was roomy and clean (we waited while the work was done).
