My service was EXCELLENT! Such wonderful customer service, and the guys - Liam & Colin (didn't get the 2rd guy's name) were courteous & respectable! The waiting room was very comfortable, and the wifi was sufficient to pass my time whike I waited. I was in/out in less than the noted time (time was told that it would take hours), but it took about 1.5 hours. Had to also recalibrate due to newer vehicles having new eyesight technology. I had a chip in my windshield but when I arrived, I had 2 sleeping kids in the car. They did the repair outside so I could sit with kids. One child woke up and receptionist got books for him and then my grandson threw up in the lobby. The receptionist could not have been nicer helping us. Had a small chip on my windshield. Service tech showed up on time . He walked around in my garage looking over my stuff after I went in the house I watched him on my Blink camera system . He tried to do a repair (but later told me it was too small) then he pulled something metal from his pocket And started tapping on the chipped area till a crack formed. So I went out and confronted him and he just smiled and stated just pay the deductible and they'd replace it. He packed up n left. The first visit was for a chip, but the windshield cracked all the way across during the repair. I scheduled a window replacement for the following week, and the technician took over six hours, but the car was not functioning after the replacement. I had to have the car towed and spent over $1000.00 dollars for towing and repair. The dealer stated that the damage was caused by the technician who failed to reinstall the computer correctly. I cannot get any type of reimbursement for this after submitting a claim. Hold times with customer service are over 30 minutes with numerous transfers. The representatives also do not answer emails. I would avoid safelight. read more

Failed chip repair done back in Oct resulted in needing a new windshield replacement in Dec. When I returned to the shop for window replacement, I was told by customer service that we again needed to pay a deductible and not given an explanation why. I left and spoke to my insurance company, who referred me to the NE regional Safelight Account Rep, whom I did speak with and was very professional. I returned to the local repair shop had the windshield was replaced accordingly, staff was still unprofessional, car was not cleaned up, seat wasn't even put back. I received a text today letting me know calibration was complete on my 2022 Nissan. It's actually a 2023. Will not return to this shop, will not recommend. Had an issue with unattached wire on glass (used to connect rear defroster.) Stopped in to Safelight to discuss options. Technician asked me if I could come back following day (he was busy working on other cars) and he would fix it - n/c!! I was floored. He did just that and I was so happy I gave him a tip. My wife and I live in Utah and we were driving to Vermont to visit our daughter and her family. On the way a truck passed us on I 90 and threw up a rock that chipped our windshield. Because it is in winter we were concerned the chip would run when the defroster was turned on, so we were anxious to get it repaired. My windshield got hit by a rock on the highway, then it spread. My inspection was up at the end of the month and I needed it replaced. Safelite was my first choice, my insurance had a $500 deductable. They were nice and got me in as fast as they could and it's a plus they can come right to you at your home or work! read more

I started my windshield replacement search online, at Google. Safelite's online process for creating the estimate and setting an appointment was simple and intuitive. Note you need your VIN in order to properly select the right windshield for an accurate quote. You can find your auto VIN in the lower corner of the driver side windshield, or on a sticker in the door jam of the driver's side door. Illusions of easy and convenient service. I set up my appointment through my insurance online and it was super easy. They would come right to my house! Great! Called me, confirmed, sounded good. Got home.... Not so good... He didn't lock my car back up like he said he would, the slip said they vacuumed and washed windows... NOPE! also looking on your page I see the promotion of the air freshener... NOPE. Also I can still feel the crack /indent on my windshield... Which I still don't know if that is legit or not... Called customer service several times....One rep said that doesn't seem right to still feel it, another said that's totally normal, the technician that did it called me and said sorry for not vacuuming and wash Windows and he could swing by and put more filling in the crack to try and smooth out better but basically I live too far away for him to actually do it. Then I had another rep/tech come out to my work location and she looked for a whole 20 seconds and said that is fine. Didn't even offer to vacuum or clean windows. So overall something I thought wow this is so easy is easy for a reason! It sucks! Total waste of my time! read more
