Went to trade in my LR Defender only to learn that back in July 2025, Safelite reported my vehicle as "damaged" when the only reason that I sought their services was to replace a windshield. There was no damage to my SUV and this should have never been reported. Luckily I had my paperwork showing that the windshield was replaced and the dealer increased the offer by $4k which otherwise would have been lost due to Safelite's negligence to report damage in error. Let this be a warning to all who seek their services. when I called their office, the automated system would not put me through to someone to address the issue. It simply just ended the call. Trying to schedule an appointment proved to be a hassle and after giving all of our information, I was told insurance was pending and could take up to 2 days to verify. I had already explained we were traveling and would be in their location shortly. I told them to forget it and contacted my insurance company. Within 5 minutes I had an appointment in less than an hour at that same location. Once at the location, about 30 minutes early, staff checked us in. Within 10 minutes our technician greeted us and said it would be about 35 minutes to repair. It did not take that long. Soon we were on our way again. The technician was extremely courteous and explained the process fully. I would recommend Safelite for windshield repair! It is early in the morning, I am not or near any trucks, and a regular pick up truck and car whiz pass me on the freeway. All of a sudden I hear a tink sound on my windshield and I am like Nooo, you got to be kidding me universe! I like this place. Prior to Wednesday march 5, I wasn't so sure. It started off with aftermarket glass being installed on my car, and as a result, my pre-collision system wouldn't work. So I was told to go to the dealership and have them look at it and figure out what could be the problem. when I went to the dealership, I was going to be stuck with an $800 bill to get everything fixed. Naturally at this, I was a little upset. So I proceeded to call Safelite and I asked to speak to the manager of this location. His name is Mike. He listened to my problem, asked questions and came up with a solution. And the solution fit both parties. I brought my car back in and got OEM glass put on and everything worked just fine. No need for an $800 bill at the dealership either. I would recommend this place to just about anybody after Mike helping me the way he did. I will say that all the people here at this location are very willing to work with you and I would say almost all of the technicians are knowledgeable about what they're doing and are very friendly. read more

My appointment to have my front windshield replaced was scheduled for a specific time. However, the vehicle was not ready when I was informed that I could pick it up. After returning home from Safelite, I was advised that the job would take approximately 60-90 minutes to complete. Subsequently, I received a phone call informing me that I had only 10 minutes to arrive at the repair shop. The shop was closing at 5:30 p.m. that day, instead of 5 p.m. As it was rush hour and there was a rainstorm, there was no feasible way to retrieve my car before 5:30 p.m., resulting in my vehicle being left in a strip mall store parking lot overnight, with the doors unlocked and the hood unlatched. Issue 1: Headliner Retention Upon installation of a new windshield, the headliner was not properly tucked back. Now headliner is in jeopardy of deteriorating if not fixed promptly. Issue 2: Vehicle Overnight Parking The vehicle was parked in front of the business overnight with the passenger front door unlocked and the hood unlatched. Issue 3: Unprofessional Communication The individual on the phone exhibited rudeness and unprofessional conduct. Complaint Resolution A second Safelite location inspected the problem, caused by the Shenandoah location, yet after a week, nothing from Safelite customer service regarding resolution. This time of year, Houston in July, the heat and humidity could easily cause damage to the headliner that is already fragile and in jeopardy. In closing: Scoring is extremely low. No customer should be treated this poorly. The technician's carelessness in forgetting to return the headliner to its original position raises safety concerns for the front windshield. Been to this specific location for a full windshield replacement. First time they went over schedule by 2 hours because "The guy was new". I was understanding until I noticed a very minimal scratch in the windshield. They assured me they would discount future services through my account. I was happy with this solution. Fast forward 1.5 years I have another crack in my windshield (Road debris is crazy in Texas for sedans I guess). There was no record of the aforementioned credit/discount. I'm patient and understanding about it but disappointed. During my second Windshield replacement my registration was transferred but my EZ tag was not as well as a parking sticker for work. I foolishly did not notice until the following day. I tried to call to confirm they still have it but the number listed could offer no assistance. I will have to drive 45 mins to their location now. So I made an appointment and came in they looked at it and said they had to order it. So I would have to come back. So I waited for a call and after a week I called them. And again they said they ordered the part and to come in. So I did. When I got there they said they don't replace that piece of glass and I would have to go somewhere else. The installer wasn't horrible but the experience was. Has a Thursday appoint from 8-5 (that's the most they will narrow it down). No call now show day wasted. Called corporate and they were to have the manager call me but the next available appt was the next Wednesday. Friday- no call from the manager. They finally connect me to the local manager and she just starts yelling at me that she was off the week before so it's not her fault nobody showed. Never an apology or concern, just she was off and could care less. I'm surprised at all the negative reviews. I got a Rock chip earlier today while driving on the interstate. I called at 4:45 PM, it's now 5:43 PM and the entire repair has been completed. The rock chip bread and it was about the size of a nickel. Now I can only see a very small dot on the window. Perhaps I had a good experience because I was going through the corporate Safelite customer service line. They verified everything with my insurance and got me in and out, as the last appointment of the day. The bearded Guy helping me, I believe his name was Frank, very helpful and friendly. It's always nice paying for a service when the employee enjoys their job. Not to me mention I didn't have to pay a dollar because it was covered by my insurance. They have a nice little refreshment station with snacks, soda, and water which were complementary. Definitely beats the vending machines at most auto repair places. My daughter scheduled a 9:30a appointment with this location. She dropped her car off and walked to get some breakfast. I told her it should only take them 1-2 hours max to replace a windshield. I texted her at noon and they still hadn't started working on her car. She finally texted me back at 2p to say they started fixing her windshield. They finished around 4pm. I was like OMG!!!!! Why even make a appointment if they don't honor the time given you. Just imagine if that was a doctors office. If we don't speak up about the way we're treated by these piss poor companies they'll just continue like business as usual. I won't recommend this location to anyone ever. Installed windshield on my daughters car on a Friday, the next Saturday evening it rained and the window leaked. First warranty spot was the following Thursday, tech came on site and found the window was the cause of the leak. He repaired / replaced it. Rained 2 days later and leaked again. Following Thursday was taken into the shop, was told the first installer used the wrong glue line, second installer followed the same bad glue line. It's now done again for the third time and just waiting to see what happens when it rains. I've asked on multiple calls what will be done about the water damage, water was being held in the door panel as well as saturating the carpets. They kept saying "We will make it right". I've received no calls back from them about it, nothing has been done or addressed. read more

Yeah ok, it is old, but I am paying you $475 for a new wind shield just like someone who might own a brand new one... I CHOSE to drive an older truck, how about you respect that decision? His assumption that "this is just this guy's shitty truck, so whatever" pretty much sums up my experience with Safelite. He proceeds to absolutely destroy the entire plumbing assembly for my windshield washer fluid... And of course blames it on the truck for being old. Gee, I am sorry I am such a peasant. It is my fault for owning such an "old shitty truck." Yes, it is old, yes, those windshield lines are fragile, so what... It worked before he showed up and now it doesn't. Searching for the parts, it is definitely going to be well over $100 to fix this myself, without even going to a mechanic. Probably over $300 if I brought it somewhere. So I pay this idiot, he leaves, and I get my receipt... It says they vacuum and also clean the other windows as a curtesy. LOL Not this guy. Remember it is just a "shitty old truck" so he didn't vacuum anything or clean anything but the windshield. I was looking forward to a nice clear windshield...
