This experience was excellent from start to finish - in fact it is a rare example of starting an experience online and having it continue into real life. I was able to find the site, easily book an appointment and enter in my insurance info. They took care of everything else and I only had to pay my deductible once the job was complete. And, that worked seamlessly as well as I got a text message with a link to pay right on my phone. Patrick, my service technician, communicated with me all along the way...including when my windshield wasn't available and had to reschedule. (PS - I saw a 1-star review about 'going somewhere else' - well those other places don't have windshields either, there is a supply chain slow down. They showed up on time with plenty of notice. The service was done quickly and after the service I noticed a cracked panel above the windshield that was not there before. I mentioned that to the service technician and he said, yeah I don't know how that happened. I could tell by his body language he did know but did not want to take responsibility for the damage. I also requested new windshield wipers which my technician did not bring on the call. I am very disappointed with this service and hope Safelite contacts me to make this right. Being prudent I arrived 15 minutes early. The photo attached is 7 minutes after my requested arrival time and the lights are off and the door secured. Several issues arose with respect to the windshield replacement on my 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe. 1) The replacement windshield does no have the upper sunshade as is common with the original. 2) The shroud covering wires and other electronic equipment fell off. 3) Dashcam fell off and dangled by the wires. 4) Key fob cover was damaged as a result of mishandling. Do not recommend using Safelite for any glass replacement. I repaired and replaced items listed with exception of the windshield. Oh wow what what a shit show this has been. Been rescheduled three times. This last time the excuse was that they had received a "GHOST GLASS". Meaning it was received at store location but not physically delivered. I don't understand the issue here. Your supposed to physically check for any parts or materials being delivered before signing anything saying your received said parts. They constantly send you texts messages to make sure you are there for your scheduled appointment. But low and behold the ass clowns didn't even physically check the inventory to make sure the job would be done. Wasted my damn time and gas along with my wife's time and gas. We placed a claim to replace a badly cracked windshield under our zero deductible coverage and received an immediate referral to Safelite. Made an appointment for the work at the nearest Safelite location, still about 20 miles from our home. Showed up for the appointment only to learn there was no windshield to fit our car on hand; and to be told Safelite would contact us to set up an appointment when the right windshield was in stock. Weeks passed without a word. That's no way to run a railroad. We gave up on Safelite and contacted an auto glass shop closer to home that is on Safeco's approved list. That shop arranged to get a windshield delivered from the dealer the next day; and scheduled the installation for the day after that. That'll be the last time we rely on Safelite. read more

Will never use them again!!!!! The guy showed up forgot the rivets and rivets gun came back the next day put my windshield in left broken glass on my dash. Well folks, let me tell you....absolutely NEVER EVER go to Safelite Auto Glass on Silverdale Way in Silverdale. What a absolutely horrendous experience there today. After waiting a month to get the windshield replaced on my wife's car, we picked it up in horror. They busted trim around the bottom corners of the windshield, had a lot of sealant just oozed out onto the lower windshield....didn't even attempt to reconnect the busted trim, was just sitting there to fly off down the road. Not to mention the sealant they managed to get all over the leather dash, seat and armrest. In addition to leaving a bunch of other debris all over the dash. I pulled back into their bay, asked for a manager, and which point some guy working there decided it was a good time to tell me to watch my tone and I couldn't be in there...yea bud, bad call....eventually a manager shows up and his lack of caring was just as bad as his half assed employees...never in my life have I had such a experience. I've used Safelite in Tacoma since I was 16 and never so much as a speck of dust left in a car. We had a crack in the front windshield of our Tesla model 3. Safelite said they would have to special order the windshield, which "would take 3-5 weeks to come in and would take a 4-6 hour appointment to calibrate the windshield once installed". Okay great, we patiently waited for the call that the windshield was in. They called us to make the upcoming install appt when the windshield came in, for a week out. My husband and I only have this 1 primary vehicle and have a child in school, and would need to rent a car for the 6 hour appt so we weren't stranded in another town; we informed Safelite of this fact when making the appointment. They send many confirmation texts and emails to which we confirm. Appointment morning comes- we rent the car and drive over to drop off our Tesla at 10am. At almost 12pm we get a phone call from Safelite to tell us that the special order windshield was broken. What? No one inspected a special order windshield and let the customer come drop off their vehicle for 2 hours before being notified of this fact? This screw up cost us a car rental fee for a day for having had it 2 hours. We showed up to pick up our car and there was no "I'm sorry this happened", no sense of responsibility whatsoever. Just an attitude that they literally could not give a crap less about how their actions affected their customer and cost them undue money to be spent. Oh and to make it an even round it all out, my husband had put up a negative review on X. He received a "we would like to make this better" message back and gave Safelite X our information. They contacted us and proceeded to simply make excuses, stating this was "specialty glass and things like this can happen". NO, sir; this is not pre checking your incoming inventory when it comes in...BEFORE the customer arrives. It's utterly evident the failures are from the top down and there is literally zero expectations of customer service or employee responsibility within this company. Never. Again. Was rescheduled after waiting 1/2 hour that my new glass was scratched in shipping and would have to reschedule. No compensation was offered even after emailing customer service. I spoke to another customer in the waiting room who had the same experience. If that's all you take away from this review then I have done my job and will have spared you from repeating the experience I had. Let me explain... It started with an email. At 10pm the night before my 1st appointment to repair the back glass of my Tacoma; I received an automated email saying my appointment had been canceled. I tried calling to figure out what had gone wrong or if there was some misunderstanding, but unsurprisingly the office was closed. I called again first thing in the morning and was told they had messed up the scheduling because I had made an afternoon appointment, and the repair actually required an "all day appointment." I was pissed; I had already taken time off work. I explained the situation and they said that if I got there soon they could squeeze me in. I agreed and drove the 70 miles from Port Angeles as fast as I could. I checked in, they took my truck into the shop and I waited for 2 hours in the lobby. It was then that the tech and the "temporary manager, on loan from Colorado" came in and told me that they didn't actually have the glass I needed. I wasn't about to let my displeasure go unnoticed so I demanded some sort of compromise. He agreed to take $250 off my bill, which was originally $500. He promised they would follow up with me as soon as the piece I needed was there. Needless to say, that never happened. Fool me once... Three months later and still no word. Finally I decided to just make another appointment despite the already sour taste I had for their service because I had the discount on file. I called the company and explained the situation. I told them exactly what I needed and they told me what to order through their website, a back glass WITH slider. I called again three weeks later, the day before the appointment, just to confirm they had what I needed at the shop and they assured me they did. Fool me twice... I show up at 9:30 for my appointment. I tell the goofus at reception that I'm gonna be upset if I have wasted another day if there's a problem. He goes into the shop to double check with the tech. I grab a coffee from the machine and wait. 5 minutes later they walk in with a work order for a back glass with "slider" circled in pen, and explain that they only ordered the slider portion of the glass, which wasn't the piece I needed. I lost my temper and demanded to talk to the manager, who just happened to be out. I yelled several curse words of the F type and gave the one finger salute to them as I walked out and threw my coffee on the pavement. I am sorry for that. But it was too much. I called shortly after to speak to the manager. I had no intention of doing business there but I wanted to make my extreme displeasure known. We talked. I was stern but I didn't yell, and I didn't curse. She said she had heard about the previous incident. She said it wasn't their fault, and that I "wasn't being professional." I was stunned. She continued "If you order a chocolate cake and we make you a chocolate cake, but that's not what you need, that's not our problem." If I order a chocolate cake with frosting and you sh*t on a plate and tell me it's frosting, then I'm going to make it your problem. I tell her I want my glass done for free at this point and she says she can't authorize that. "We've already given you $250 off, do you really think it's worth taking more off?" I reasoned that if they cut it in half the first time they messed up, it should be another 50% off this time. She tells me there's a new branch in Sequim that will better be able to help me, and she'll set it up. Fool me three times... I get a call later that day. It's the new Sequim branch, and I'm told that because of the incident earlier "we won't be able to do anything for you." I was picking up my kid at school and was surrounded by elementary school children at the time so I just hung up at that point. I didn't have anything nice to say. I make $35 an hour, and work 12 hour shifts as a critical care paramedic. I took 2 days off throughout this ordeal which comes out to $840 in lost wages. I drove 280 miles, 70 miles each way 4 times, at $5 dollars a gallon, which is $70 in gas money. With 10% tax that's $1001 total. And I still don't have my glass fixed. I could have paid off my tuition for whatever glass repair/clown school GED equivalent that these people attended and done the work myself at this point. Don't waste your time or money. read more

I was upset on a recent Friday when someone knocked out the rear passenger window on my brand new Lexus RX-350. I had saved for 20 years to buy my dream car. When I called my insurance company, they told me not to worry they would set me up right away with Safelite. I took my car to Tacoma Safelite immediately so they could put a plastic cover over the missing window to protect the interior. Silverdale Safelight called and set up an appointment for Monday afternoon to come to my house. That service amazed me. The tech showed up on time wearing a mask, I gave him my keys, and in an hour and a half I had a new window that matched and worked perfectly. You cannot tell there was ever a problem. I would give 0 stars if I could I made an appt online to get a windshield replaced and was quoted 326.00 so I canceled decided to look around I then got an email that I could get 25 off if I reschedule I ignored the e-mail the next day got another email saying I could get 35 off so I decided to reschedule with my 35 off they quoted 356.00 so I asked why it was more then first quote and was given the runaround and finally was told that the first quote was for a windshield that was cheaper which makes no sense I didn't ask for a specific windshield, just think it is a little shady! I set up an appointment to replace my front wind shield through their website which quoted me for 900. I receive an email confirmation later which stated 1100. A month goes by and I get an appointment reminder, and an unmentioned price change to 1900. I called to cancel my appointment. What they were trying to pull should be illegal. read more

After they damaged my car by scratching the plastic cover by my rear view mirror, they now have had me waiting 6 months, YES 6 FREAKING MONTHS, to get a new windshield. They don't call and update me on any progress made on ordering one. They act super annoyed when I ask them when the windshield might come. They didn't offer to pay for my Uber when they wasted a whole day of mine by ordering the wrong windshield, they actually were super rude to me and acted like it was my fault for ordering the wrong one. Never have felt this disappointed by a service company. I'd look elsewhere for windshield repair/replacement. read more
