Food is incredible. Food can be pricey but I forget about the price as soon as I start eating. Yum!

Review Highlights - Sagar Indian Cuisine

Our entire meal was absolutely delicious (we ordered a lunch combo and every part of the meal from the garlic naan, the sides, to the dessert were flavorful.

I tried Negi Indian Cuisine at the Carp Farmer's Market for the the first time today. I got…read more"Today's Lunch Combo" for $19, which included a choice of a meat curry, a choice of a vegetarian curry, rice and two onion pakoras. I paid an extra $1 for naan. I chose the butter chicken and palak paneer for my curry options. The butter chicken tasted good, but it wasn't anything special from other ones I have tried. I quite enjoyed the palak paneer though with its creaminess from the spinach. The onion pakoras were soggy and not crisp. The naan was disappointing and had no flavour in my opinion. I did place my order around 11am and the market had already started for a few hours, so maybe that's why the pakoras were soggy. Overall, I've had better Indian food for that price and was hoping for more for my 20 bucks. I still give this place 3 stars though for the Palak Paneer. Perhaps the actual restaurant is better than the market stall.

We enjoyed veggy samosas, butter chicken, Tandoori chicken, baigan bartha, lamb korma along with plain rice and garlic Naan. The food was excellent seasoned perfectly tasted authentic and brought back fond memories of meals shared at friends homes. They even offered go vary the spice levels according to our preferences. We ate way too much and enjoyed every bite squeezing in room for Gulab jamun was a must! Just writing this I'm already planning on going back for another incredible meal. If you haven't been you need to go.

OMFG! Indian food in the Valley! DELICIOUS food in the Valley!…read more Normally when you see a combo like pizza and Indian, you tend to assume that one or the other will not _quite_ be up to scratch. But, these dudes totally know their pizza *and* make luscious Indian, and beat out an enormous number of Ottawa restaurants in both categories. I am not much of a crust fan and tend to always ask for thin crust. I stopped doing that here because the crust is terrific. I don't know what the deal with the pizza sauce is, but it makes the whole thing totally crave-worthy. The toppings and cheese ratios are perfect. The paneer dish was in the smoothest and richest of sauces, and the rice and naan were just right. It's a pretty basic little spot, looks like any pizza takeaway joint and only has a few tables, but, when I received an offer to be taken out and spoiled in a restaurant for my birthday this year, I went here. The food is so good I couldn't think of anywhere else I would have preferred to go. And while it might seem like an odd mix, pizza and Indian are just about my two favourite restaurant types; it's actually kind of a genius combination. Everything is very fresh, and you never get an under- or over-cooked pizza. I asked for spinach as a topping recently and was told _very_ apologetically that it was probably about to disappear from the menu -- "nobody orders it; I end up just throwing it out, box after box," and I had to pause for a moment to realise he had been buying fresh spinach. So many other places would have tossed on frozen and not cared! (Pizzaria Unlimited: please consider replacing it with broccoli, and, frozen is just fine...) This review was written with considerable difficulty as I do not have their food in front of me, and thinking about it is making me drool all over the screen.

Great stuff! Convenient and good pricing compared to other Pizza-Rias! Would recommend!!read more
