But then I happen to go during happy hour and lemonades are on sale so I also got the strawberry lemonade. I was only planning on ordering the pho with fillet and I absolutely loved it. You can never really go wrong with a good soup! But I couldn't stop... I had to add from their happy hour! We also added french fries for two dollars and egg rolls for seven dollars! My friend and I feasted and then I wanted to get a couple meals to go for my husband and son so I ordered the jasmine fried rice with shaken steak for my husband, which he loved even reheated! Great fast casual Vietnamese restaurant in Orange. If you don't want to trek out to Westminster/garden grove, Saiga is a solid option. They have a bunch of classics on their menu including pho, vermicelli bowls, bahn mi, garlic noodles and rice dishes. I ended up getting the vermicelli bowl with the crispy pork belly ($1 extra) as well as the grilled pork bahn mi. The vermicelli bowl was so good and refreshing with the slippery rice noodles and fresh vegetables. I also loved that it came with an egg roll. The egg roll was perfectly crispy and had a good filling ratio. I'm glad the cashier convinced me to get the crispy pork belly. I typically don't like pork belly because it's too fatty but this one was perfect with the crunchy skin and juicy tender meat. The nuoc cham fish sauce balanced out the whole dish too. I had the blended coconut Thai tea smoothie to go with my vermicelli bowl and it was delicious - creamy, nutty, sweet and a good amount of Thai tea flavor. The coconut paired so nicely with the Thai tea! I saved my bahn mi and paradise swirl (blended coconut strawberry and pineapple smoothie) for later and it was still good even hours later. The barbecue chicken banh mi was great, with the fluffy yet crunchy bread and juicy chicken, with the fresh and pickled veggies within. Such a large portion too, I saved the other half for later! The grilled pork vermicelli noodle was a nice palette cleanser, cool and refreshing noodles and fresh veggies, topped with fried shallots and amazing smelling grilled pork. Love the addition of the eggroll as well for a crispy texture change! The garlic noodles were definitely my favorite, with a hit-you-in-the-face garlicky punch. I loved the springy, bouncy noodle texture along with the fatty pork belly. Washed everything down with a lychee lemonade, which was not too sweet and refreshing for the carb-heavy meal. I really like the variety on their menu and it's an easy go to spot, especially for takeout. I was pretty bummed that the Boba place was shut down initially, not knowing what new spot would replace it. But like a Phoenix reborn from the ashes of a past life, Saiga Vietnamese Eatery was created. The store itself leans small-medium size, but it was empty when we came in so there was no issue finding a seat. Ordering was easy and we got our food within 10 minutes. I ordered the Chicken Vermicelli bowl and I feel like I hit an equally healthy and delicious find. The sauce was just the right amount of tangy and the sides were proportioned just right. Wasn't feigned or overbearing. She took time to explain the menu and specials - even giving me some recommendations. Dined in btw. Saw a few to go orders but there is seating both indoors and out. Not a huge place. Not a lot of tables. Big parties will be challenging. Clean inside and simple. Just remember, not a huge dining area. The food. The food was why I was there. Came out fresh and hot. Grabbed me Garlic Noodles and added the Steak. Enjoyed the flavors and enjoyed it even more after adding the accompanying sauce. I did not get anything because I wanted to try the pho did not want to take it to-go. As we waited, the place is not very big about 4 table and some window seats. There was a strong odor of vinegar in the place. Food took about 10 min. At home my daughter ate. She said at first the noodles were dry but she added the sauce that came with it and it was good. I tried the eggrolls today which were not bad but again I'm not used to the lack of flavor. They also serve their egg rolls with chili sauce instead of fish sauce.
