    Meat Pho

Nice cozy restaurant in old town Monrovia. Good portion and delicious. Plenty of green onions that I love! Soup is hot the way I prefer. Attentive service !

I'll never order from here again. I ordered an all beef pho that came with 3 different types of beef but there was barley any in there. As well as the noodles was such a tiny portion, it was mainly just onion, along with not even 1 full beef ball, I ordered my beef sandwich with no jalapeños and it still came with jalapeño and the smallest slice of beef. And the toppings only came with 3 jalapeños, 3 mint leaves and one small slice of lemon. Never again, this cost me $45 for everything to come out in small and terrible portions or just wrong. I'm pregnant with the flu right now and this was extremely disappointing.

Very traditional and community rooted. This family restaurant knows what it takes to carry-on they been around for years. I just wish they would allow requested combinations or additives. For example....I wanted tofu and vegetables in my fried rice ... I was told they couldn't do that. It's either one or the other not combining. Service is very attentive and friendly.

I wouldn't come here again.... Maybe for the pomegranate chia lemonade but that's it. I was surprised the place was empty on a Saturday night. But whatever, the place looks cute from the outside, it has good reviews...why not? First off, the place has an off putting smell. Our server was very nice and friendly. We sat in the front by the window. The table was very sticky and greasy. Not cute anymore. The soup selection was limited. With the option to add additional protein and veggie toppings. I was disappointed when I didn't see tendon as one of the options. We ordered 2 Supremes. And 2 orders of pork spring rolls and 2 pomegranate chia lemonades. The rolls came out first with a pre packaged serving of a sauce. Huh?!I was expecting peanut sauce. I asked for peanut sauce. They did t have any. Again, huh?! Anyway, spring rolls tasted off. The soup was just ok. Service was great. But unfortunately my experience was not a good one. It wasn't terrible either, but I just wouldn't come back. As I leave my review I see they are temporarily closed. I wonder why ..

Always amazing! Food is always piping hot and fresh and service is always super super quick. I love coming here for lunch or dinner. I'd recommend the filet mignon pho or rare steak pho along with any type of spring roll! The Thai tea is also super good too :)

I ordered the pork bahn mi and loved it! The meat is crispy and savory and the veggies are super fresh and flavorful. Quick service and a happy vibe. Will def return and try the pho in person since pho is always best eaten in person!

Tasty pho and fast service. The pho taste was pretty standard and delicious. I went on New Years Day and it was open still which was very nice. Perfect for a chilly day. The shop is a little small but roomy enough with available seating.

Back again.. this is my go to spot for Vietnamese in the area. Food is always fresh and service is prompt and attentive. Ambiance is ok I just order to go mostly because parking in Monrovia sucks. They also have the best eggrolls around. Would recommend if you're in the mood for Pho....

Went to Saigon Ave for lunch and we shared a couple of dishes. We started with the pomegranate lemonade w/ chia seeds and the drink was perfectly sweetened, and very refreshing. We ordered the pork spring rolls, the shaking beef banh mi, and the pork vermicelli. All the dishes were very tasty, no complaints. We would definitely return again. The service was very friendly and the restaurant has a nice warm welcoming feel.

    Disgusting unacceptable

we are staying at the hospital nearby and ordered a few items (we order from local spots every day for cancer patient getting treated) the Thai ice tea had bugs ontop and under the lid. His sandwhich had a hair in it ! (the hair was half black half white) horrible service called but got no answer . I want them to be aware because food safety should be top priority. they do not deserve the A on their window . I hope staff sees this because the food you prepared went to someone who wanted Thai tea and is getting treated for cancer.

The food is excellent! I have had their egg rolls, beef pho, pork banh-mi sandwiches with fried egg (and without twice) and Vietnamese coffee. This is my go-to Vietnamese restaurant for the Arcadia/Monrovia area. The interior is dated. But the service is excellent and he always has a smile on his face. He is super friendly! The restaurant is located on a small side street off Myrtle in downtown Monrovia. There is free street parking all around. The pho noodles are flavorful and comforting . The egg rolls are crunchy and you can adjust the sweetness level for the ice coffee. I also love their sandwiches. Overall, the food is consistently good.

This soup is so pungent that the only time I get to savor it is at home and the stink doesn't leave your home for a few days. So, it is to my delight that they offer it here during the weekdays. It is a nicely stacked bowl that has everything but the kitchen sink in it - roast pork belly, catfish, squid, eggplant, and stuffed jalapeno with fried fish cake. Very filling and reasonably priced! The only reason I gave this place a 4 instead of 5 rating is because you can only order certain items from the menu when they open. I wanted to get some Chinese food to-go for my husband, but was told by the server that the other items were only available beginning at 10 am, which is odd to me.

Every bite had a great balance of herbs, noodles, and that delicious grilled pork. The bun bo hue was a huge bowl of comfort. The broth was deeply flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and it came loaded with big, meaty pork feet and pork blood that made it feel extra hearty and authentic. Definitely one of those dishes that warms your soul. We also tried the banh beo. The flour mixture was a little on the thicker side, but it was still really tasty--especially with those crispy little pieces of pork fat on top that add such a great savory crunch. I came by on a Friday at 7pm for a dinner (weekend before Mother's Day) and was able to get seated in 15 minutes. They have a Yelp waitlist but you must go in person to join the waitlist. There's a spacious parking lot but there's rarely any spots available and will require you to wait for a free one. The interior is honestly very pretty. It's decorated with overhead chandeliers with bright lights and marble tables. When your table is ready, they also give you a tray full of chopsticks, napkins, and forks. Each table also has hoisin, sriracha, chili sauce, and another sauce I'm not too sure about. After we ordered, I got my pho da biet maybe 5 minutes after. The cha gios also came out a few minutes after too. Unfortunately, my boyfriend's com tam was forgotten about until after I devoured my pho. We even asked them about it in the middle and it was checked on but we weren't updated and thought they had went ahead and cancelled it but it still came out. No biggy, we packed it to-go since we basically split the pho da biet. Food: Pho da biet (9.5/10): The pho was soooo delicious. It was meaty with a little bit of sweetness to it. This is one of the few places where I don't feel the need to sauce down my pho to enjoy it. There's a good amount of meat in here. If you're a tendon enjoyer, there's about 3 big chunks in here. I love the way they separate everything. If you order this, it comes with the stone bowl at no additional costs. They separate the noodles and ribeye on the side and let you "decorate" it yourself. There was also a good amount of noodles in here. Com tam (7.9/10): I thought that this one was just okay. We got the grilled pork and grilled pork chop and I thought that the meats were cooked perfectly. There was a nice char to the meats and it was seasoned deliciously. It came with a lot of rice and a side of soup to enjoy! I did enjoy this fish sauce more than the one that came with the egg rolls. Overall, I wish this dish came out the same time as the pho so we could've enjoyed it together. Cha gio/Imperial Rolls (7/10): I love egg rolls but this one didn't really stand out to me. It comes with a good amount of vegetables that you can use to wrap your egg rolls in. I wish the fish sauce that came with this was more salty. Maybe it was that day, but I couldn't really tell what was inside the filling. It was all mushed in together instead of different layers. The skin was very thin and crispy which I really liked!
