We ordered Pho and Vietnamese egg rolls for delivery. Note they only offer ChowNow for delivery. The pho is good, but average. Egg rolls were nothing special, if not a little salty. Btw we've eaten other food here, dining in, and found it to be pretty good on average. But the delivery was terrible! Delivery was estimated at an hour, took and hour and 10 min. I had to pay a delivery fee, which was brokered through door dash. I HAVE A DOOR DASH SUBSCRIPTION! Because it took so long, all of our food was cold and had to be reheated. There's lots of choices for food and delivery - no reason for me to order from restaurants that only use ChowNow. Sadly, this restaurant is off the beaten trail and should be doing what they can to keep/get customers. ChowNow just ruined it for me.

Tried Saigon Cafe for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. It's a small, cozy, family-run restaurant with a really warm and welcoming feel. I tried Mama's Tom Yum noodles--they were decent, but I was hoping for a bit more flavor. We also ordered the cashew curry, and I really appreciated that they were flexible with dietary needs. Since I'm vegetarian, they served the chicken on the side so my friend and I could both enjoy it. Overall, a solid experience. I might come back and try the pho next time to see how that compares.

We came in from Houston to stay and passed this place. Growing up with Thai food as a staple means it's hard to find good comfort food. At first we were gonna take our food to go but the staff was incredibly welcoming and we decided to slow down and stay. I'm so glad we did. The service was wonderful. The food. Oh god the food!! Spring rolls and dumplings came out and were divine. We both ordered the num tok. When I say this is one of the best num toks we've had in probably ten years. One of the most relaxing dining experiences we've had in a long time. Will be making the drive from Houston as much as possible lol.

A hidden gem indeed. We have been to tens of thai places and many Vietnamese places too but we have never seen the tom yum noodle soup on any of these menus and the one at Saigon is delicious. The cashew chicken and other thai regulars are pretty good too.

We went with high expectations because of all the positive reviews, so was disappointed, food was good, but not something you wanna go back again, especially if you live far!! We went for a long drive and decided to try SC, because of all the reviews, we got seated as soon we entered, just one family were dining in, the place itself is underwhelming, chairs are dirty and it's so dim and unappealing. We ordered green curry, pad kee mao and Vietnamese Coffee. Green curry was good, I asked them not to add eggplants, and oh boy, they had added so much veggie, especially green beans, it was more than half of curry and it's absolutely raw, curry itself was good. Pad kee mao: it says spicy on menu and my husband requested extra spicy but still it was on sweeter side. Vietnamese Coffee: this was very good, but the phin, glass, everything need a good wash badly:(( I think they're more popular for there pho, so I don't recommend for Thai dishes, but maybe give it a try for pho!!

Small place tucked away on Hudson Bend. The food here is simple and delicious. A very nice place for a great meal in Lakeway. We had the Saigon curry and the Charcoal pork with egg roll during lunch. Portions were huge. Big bowls of vermicelli with vegetables and meat. The food was well prepared and full of Vietnamese flavors. We really enjoyed this and will be back. Service was friendly and super prompt.

This is a excellent stop for spicy and wonderful Vietnamese food. Tried the Chicken Pad Thai, it was amazing. Full of spice and delicate chunks of chicken breast. Noodles were perfect. Also had Spring Rolls, very good, fresh and tasty. The Dumplings were fried and excellent. Very simple decor for dining in. Chef Grandma is overseeing the the daughter and granddaughter cooking in the kitchen. They are fast and right on with flavors. I love this place and look forward to more wonderful meals. read more

We stumbled upon this random vietnamese cafe in the middle of no where one Sunday after church when we were trying to find access to the lake. WHAT A WONDERFUL DISCOVERY!!!!! We loved this place so much, we came back the next Sunday and ordered the SAME EXACT dishes. We didn't care too much for the thai food but DEFINITELY order the vietnamese dishes. Personal favorites were: -banh hoi -xoi ga -their special version of the eggrolls -combination pho Highly comparable to the vietnamese restaurants in San Jose and Los Angeles! read more

Great family owned restaurant, tucked away in Hudson Bend. The pho is very good as are all the other dishes we have had there (lemongrass chicken, pad see ew, basil fried rice, etc). The service has always been very good and attentive and helpful. Saigon Cafe is by far the best Thai food in the Lake Travis area and I highly recommend going there to pick up lunch or dinner. read more

Great, tasty, fresh, and generous Vietnamese & Thai food at the right price. Staff is welcoming, prompt, and helpful when it comes to questions about the menu. The Vietnamese eggrolls are very tasty and not greasy. Be sure to ask your waitress for a plate of greens (lettuce, basil, mint, bean sprouts, shredded picked carrot) to with them. The vibrancy and freshness of the ingredients on the plate takes the eggroll flavor and experience to a whole new level when you turn them into handheld lettuce rolls stuffed with your favorite accompaniments. read more

Viet restaurant in the middle of no where. Food is pretty good. Their pho is on point. Fried rice is delicious. Owner is very nice and down to earth. What a pleasant surprise. Will definitely visit this place again if I end up roaming around this part of town. read more

Amazing family owned small restaurant. I live right around the corner and just decided to give this place a try, needless to say I've been coming back ever since. Their food out of this world amazing!! Try their pho, beef lo mein, or fried rice and also try the desserts. The service is friendly and fast. If your in the mood for some Vietnamese food then you should definitely give this place a try. 10 stars!! read more

Fantastic dining experience! Facility- in a small shopping center and has maybe 15 tables. Nothing fancy but would be a tight squeeze for large groups if they were busy. They had maybe 5-6 to go orders when we were here. Service- 5 stars - friendly owners, prompt service, drinks were filled and they had great suggestions on the menu. Food - 5stars- I had the steamed seafood dish with mussels, shrimp, fish balls and crab sticks. Very fresh and flavorful. Great portion size and rice was tasty. My wife has the cashew chicken which was equally as fresh and vibrant. Overall it was a great experience and we would love to come back if we were in the area for vacation. read more

What a jewel hidden in Hudson Bend. Really fresh ingredients so well prepared. My husband orders a variety from the menu and is always pleased. I'm fixated on S20 Basil Eggplant and add chicken. It is so delicious and the portions are generous. Delivery is quick and the delivery person is so nice and polite. Highly recommend. read more

I gave them 3 stars just because the people seemed nice. The spring rolls I got was loosely wrapped. The peanut sauce was not a true peanut sauce. There was some kind of sweet mixed in and it was not the peanut forward that I prefer. The Pad Thai...it tasted like they put sweet and sour sauce in it. I did not care for it...I ate half of it though. Was quite disappointed. Seemed as if the Pho was popular here as everyone else was eating that. Location is in the hub of boat yards storage next to a laundromat. read more

Love the people and the food! I'm a big fan of everything on the menu. The soups are my favorite! The restaurant is a little off the main road, near a laundromat, and at first, some may have hesitations. The quality of the food is really good though. This is a family run business, and they take a lot of pride in serving authentic, delicious recipes. The portions are large. I live alone, so I usually order a couple dishes to take home and have leftovers for the next day or so. read more

Today, we visited the Saigon Cafe on Hudson Bend off 620 for the second time. While the first time was really good, I think this second time was even better. The Vietnamese egg rolls were a huge hit with us last time, so this time, the two of us teamed up to get three orders (2 per order). Their egg rolls are money and worth every penny we paid for them. Also ordered the pork fried rice and a milder version (requested) of the Thai Basil Chicken. Their food is the best asian food we have found outside of an upscale restaurant (certainly charging more) somewhere downtown. While the location and the restaurant site are nothing to rave about, the food site is clean and the servers are very helpful and pleasant. Don't think you can go wrong with what we ordered and would encourage anyone looking for good Asian food to absolutely pay them a visit. read more

We chose this restaurant after seeing all the good reviews, however we were very disappointed. I ordered the Pad Thai, which was not like any other Pad Thai I have had in the past. It was made with wide noodles, some pink sauce and had absolutely no flavor. My husband had the fried rice which was very greasy and definitely fried! The service was super nice, so no complaints there. Sorry, but I can't give this place more than two stars. read more

This is the BEST spot for home-cooked, authentic Vietnamese and Thai food! Don't judge the food by the location... It might be a hole in the wall, but the food speaks for itself! The owners are super friendly and you can tell that they put a lot of love into their food. And believe it when an item on their menu is labeled as 'spicy' because they don't joke around with spices! Saigón café is actually pretty good. We were visiting Austin and we decided to stop in here for lunch. Service is awesome, every thing was delivered pretty quickly. I will definitely recommend the strawberry smoothie with popping tapioca pearls. That smoothie is so delightful and delicious. The fried rice is okay, but it was definitely bland. Overall, a good experience. read more

The atmosphere of the dining room is quaint, but nothing special. However, after living for a time in China and also visiting other Asian countries, I've noticed that the places with the best food are often the humblest. I've been here many times, but I've never had any of the Chinese or Thai dishes on offer so I can't attest to those, but the Vietnamese fair is the best I've found around Lakeway. It would actually be high on the list of all the Vietnamese I've had in the entire Austin area (of course I haven't been everywhere.) read more

Went to Saigon Cafe while visiting our daughter. The food was excellent and very authentic. The portions were huge! We had enough for 2 meals; we would have shared a meal but we all wanted to try something different. Service was superb as well. We will definitely go back when we're in town again. read more

Stumbled up the Café while driving the area and stopped in for dinner...very pleasantly surprised. Seems others know about it too! Had the usual Vietnamese menu items plus some Chinese type as well. We will be back and so much better Asian food than what's offered in Lakeway area which tends to be so westernized....! read more

Most authentic and delicious pho I've had in a very long time. I'm Vietnamese and my husband is white white, and we both LOVEEDD it. The broth, the chicken, the steak, it was all great. Awesome service too. The owner's wife also makes a great refreshing coconut jello. read more

Very disappointed. My wife and I have been going to this restaurant since just after it opened. Went there for lunch today and the egg rolls looked and tasted like they had just come out of the frozen food isle and into the microwave. The pho was not bad but not anywhere close to as good as it use to be. Just like the rest of Austin, not a good as it use to be :-( read more
