I was flying back to the West coast of the United States of America the following morning and wanted to get a few Friday dinner and Saturday morning snack items after eating out breakfast and lunch on Friday. The store is very large for the Sainsbury's I encountered while in Scotland in July 2019. I got a few items, the stand out of which as of writing this review on Monday 5 June 2023 remains a large cucumber. When I was a teenager I traveled to the Dominican Republic and found the best bananas I ever had. While in Scotland in July 2019, I found the best cucumbers I ever had. It had a cohesive rind/skin, tender, but not overly soft, interior, and not too many seeds. The vegetable itself was fresh and had a mild to intense cucumber flavor. The other items were tasty as well and perfectly packaged for disposal in a hotel room without drawing unwanted attention.

At most corner shops you expect to pay high prices and you come in and leave disappointed because you've been priced out of a purchase. The deals here, however, are outstanding and some of the offers can compete with some of the big chains. The store is easy to move around with plenty of space between the aisles. There are many checkouts and they are always well manned which means that you never have to wait too long in queue to pay. If have always found the staff to be friendly and pleasant. The store has its own large carpark and there is also a petrol station attached to the store. The store is open until late in the evening with late nights on thursday and friday until 10pm

They also have 2 aisles of household goods or clothing, which are on special offer and heavily discounted - you can often find anything from a tv or microwave, to slippers and garden shears here! This shop can be a bit untidy and the staff need a lesson or two in smiling and being customer friendly, but the store is well run and very, very busy. Importantly for anyone shopping here, it has a seperate entrance besides via the shopping centre, which allows Lidl's to stay open beyond the shopping centre times.

They have a great selection of interesting vegan products. This was the first place I saw Oatly's matcha latte. I also saw a lot of great candy's I've never seen before. It's a small spot, so it can get crowded quickly. I still had some of my travel bags with me so it got a little hard to maneuver. But if you're in and out it shouldn't be much of an issue. Otherwise, it's a must visit if you're in need of some plant-based and vegan goods!

This is quite a large store than the ones that I'm used to in Glasgow City centre, and could easily get lost in this one very easy. The shop does have the usual cash machine, but sadly no Costa coffee machines that I'm used to, still a good store even though the donuts that l bought tasted funny. Right next door they have their own butcher shop, so strange as l didn't know that the co-op did butcher outlets.
