As someone who has worked for many years as both a teacher and Director, I am extremely selective about who is educating and taking care of my children on a daily basis. My oldest son was enrolled at two other schools before we finally found Kiddie Academy. Unfortunately, his experiences at the other schools were subpar (to put it nicely), and left both of us slightly nervous about taking a chance in a new environment. However, after touring Kiddie Academy, I knew it was exactly the nurturing and educational environment I wanted both my children to experience. My oldest son is currently in the Kindergarten program and he comes home everyday with stories about all the things he has learned and all the fun he has had. The curriculum is phenomenal and the teachers go above and beyond to engage the children in hands-on learning activities. My youngest son started attending the toddler program this spring and has been having a wonderful time learning through play, meeting with friends, and getting to know his teachers. The school is clean, safe, and well maintained which is important to me. However, even more importantly, the teachers at the school are phenomenal! I have no doubt that all of the educators are well-trained, communicative, and care for each child as if they were their own! I always wanted my children to be at a school where the teachers treated them with the utmost respect and compassion and this school has exceeded my expectations. When I walk through Kiddie Academy, all the teachers smile, make eye contact, and are welcoming and that means a lot to me. All of the staff are professionals who I happily entrust the care of my "most prized possessions" to on a daily basis and I couldn't be more thankful to have that peace of mind.

False allegations were made about me and I have contacted West Valley about them. Was told that they would investigate but had they investigated they would have discovered that the allegations were not true. Zero action was taken against this member. It's also is impossible to actually report anything to the deacons or elders as the head pastor always ends up getting involved and his actions are questionable. I have contacted Bethany about what has been taking place at West Valley and they haven't even been willing to give a response. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these churches, unless you would like to be a part of a church that makes false accusations about their members

When you consider this school, by all means don't go off of "Erin's" review, considering she had issues with every place she went to. Starting from the ladies in the nursery who work tirelessly to provide their time, even with a 4:1 state mandated ratio. Have you ever tried to take care of 4 infants under the age of 9 months at once? You give and you give and you give. That's what I saw/see with my son there, regardless of how short they were, someone (God Bless the nurse who is always pitching in) and all the way up the chain to the Director Cheryl, someone is putting these kids before everything else. When you listen to the news and hear all the terrible things that happen at daycares and pre-k schools, you can rest assuredly that it doesn't happen here. As for the "curriculum" (say that slowly as you're talking about kids under 4) my daughter is heads above kids her age in both her recall and vocabulary. Noah's Ark puts Christ first and it shows.

As a high school student, I had an overall bad experience at Baum. I was awarded a state recognized…read morescholarship for three 10 week teen classes at Baum. I was so thrilled, because Baum was supposed to be such a wonderful place, and I couldn't possibly afford the classes otherwise, so my scholarship seemed to be a prayer answered. I called Baum's office and told them I wanted to register for a course, but the woman there kept insisting my scholarship didn't exist, though I read her the scholarship letter and provided her with proof. Eventually, she somewhat conceded, but then tried telling me my scholarship was only good for a 5 week summer camp course, which was then currently in session and already halfway over! That was NOT what my scholarship entailed. In fact, my scholarship was worth much more. I was appalled at her treatment of me and my parents. My classes were being paid for BY MY scholarship. I have no idea why she refused to recognize that, even after she had proof. After many more headaches, several phone calls, and emails to Baum and the foundation I received the scholarship from, eventually I was signed up for my first course. The class I took was nightmarish. The instructor did not teach, she basically sat back and told us to draw or paint something, giving little or no instruction on fine art technique or process. She wouldn't even let us take home our art, so we could work on it at home. The worst part was, she expected us to have our pieces completed in 1-2 classes! So it felt like we weren't learning or spending much time on a lesson at all! Additionally, even though the course was supposed to be specifically about learning fine art techniques in painting and drawing, the teacher plainly said, and I quote, "I don't believe I should teach you the traditional techniques, because I want you to develop your own." Well, that would be all fine and dandy, except, that's not what was in the course description, and that is also not what my scholarship was paying for. I ceased coming after 5 classes because of the mediocrity of that class and the attitude of the teacher. I expected far better. But considering the baffling, unacceptable treatment I received initially, I should not have been surprised at the low quality of the instruction. I am very disappointed. In the past, I have heard amazing things about the Baum School of Art, but I did not experience any of them in my time there. I have 2 more additional courses available to me, but I am hesitant to take them now. It's almost not worth it if the courses are going to be like the previous one I took. I hate to say that, because I appreciate my scholarship and I came to Baum hoping to learn more about the art I love, but I can't lie. It's such a shame If you're considering taking a class here, or signing your child up for a class, take some time to consider alternative schools. You'll want your money's worth, and I'm not certain you're going to get it at Baum. And trust me, you won't want to deal with their system. It felt like I was catering to them instead of the other way around.

Randy was great! My son was a decent driver who just lacked some confidence, especially around…read moretractor trailers. Randy was calm and patient, and in 6 hours of lessons converted him to a very confident driver. He's now skilled at parallel parking, and Randy even gave him the skills and confidence to tackle highway driving as well. My son was able to breeze through his driver's road test; passing with zero point deducted. I would highly recommend Randy to anyone looking to learn or increase their driving skill level.
