One thing that I like about Eastwood City is that it has its own small Roman Catholic church right inside the complex. I'm talking about the St. John Paul II Parish on the underexposed side of Orchard Road. It's located in a low-traffic area, away from the malls and office buildings, so there's still a semblance of solemnity in the church even if it's inside a very busy commercial and residential environment.
There's really nothing special about this church if you look at its architectural design. Its aesthetics are actually very simple and ordinary. The altar has a few embellishments and nothing over-the-top. So when you're inside this church, you will tend to focus on your prayers and not the beautiful or historical attributes of the structure.
Another reason to like St. John Paul II Parish church is its air-conditioned altar and congregational area. This is a perfect place to contemplate and attend mass, especially during the hot summer months. The church is also ideal for baptisms and small weddings, particularly if the following reception is in Quezon City. read more
