The thing that stood out the most for me at this place was the size of the food. The pieces of sushi were very large, to the point where it's hard to fit it all in your mouth like you can do at other sushi joints. I don't mind being served more food but I'd rather they just give us extra pieces instead of making very large rolls. Even the sashimi pieces were cut half an inch thick. Kind of bizarre. That being said, the sushi wasn't bad. I like that there's a large variety of rolls to choose from, and the fish tasted pretty fresh. I wouldn't say it's the best quality sushi I've had but it's good. Service was pretty prompt and friendly, so that's a plus. And they did warn us ahead of time about the large portions. We couldn't finish it all at the restaurant but the food was good enough to finish it off at home. Would I come back? I still think there are better options for sushi in the area, but if a friend of mine wanted to come here I wouldn't be hesitant about coming back. read more

Was not prepared for how much fun my family and I were about to have when we walked into Sake Sushi. First can I just say, the only good sushi chef's are the ones drinking beer, taking sake shots, and interacting with the guests. Am I right? This place is small with big heart. The server was so friendly and attentive. She also had great advice on what to order. The portions were incredible not your usual roll size (also a bonus from the chefs drinking ?) My kids tried some sushi but ultimately went with chicken tenders. My wife had the teriyaki chicken which was huge. I had the charger roll with fresh jalapeño on top. Yum ! Also had the Chirashi plate with miso soup. There was so much fresh fish and a healthy portion of steamed rice! The best part of the evening is when the lights went down and started flashing when the music started playing to celebrate a little girls birthday. The entire staff and restaurant got into it. Well what I can say for sure is that the sushi is big and delicious. They have a lunch special that includes a miso soup and a salad which is delicious & certainly fills you up. I believe that we were waited on by a newer girl and so she was not very familiar with the menu or answering questions we had. Our good friends just moved to Marietta a few weeks ago and today we went to visit them and they treated us to their very favorite sushi bar near them. . My girlfriend ordered a California roll with the avocado on the outside and it was excellent. We also had great mixed tempura. All the portions are huge and very well presented. What a wonderful and amazing surprise this sushi place was! We got stuck in traffic driving in the rain from San Diego celebrating my birthday with a bad experience from a really well-known, big-name restaurant and we were hoping not to get another one of those experiences. I searched Yelp and as always, we trusted the reviews and always gave the benefit of the doubt. As we entered, warm staff greetings all over and we sat ourselves as we were allowed to pick our spot. All the staff were friendly, wearing masks , attentive, honest and explained things on the menu very clearly for us. We were new to the place because we were just passing through so as we ordered our food(and we ordered too much!), the wait staff was so honest enough to let us know that their portions were BIG and so, we took the staff's advice to maybe order just a few and see if we need more later.. Had we not done that, there would have been so much wasted food. Or to-go boxes was also an option. I have never seen the biggest Spicy Tuna Hand Roll in my entire sushi eating-life! Ever! The fish was fresh and it was great. We ordered a few more that were so big. Our husbands ordered noodle and they looked like they were eating out of buckets and us girls were sharing their soup because it was cold. We had warm sake which is always awesome. Tried this place out . I ordered 2 pieces of blue fin tuna , they bring me a 10 piece out and I said I only ordered 2 piece , they said sushi doesn't come as 2 piece only sashimi comes as 2 piece. I say than why would you bring me A 10 piece . The meat on the 10 piece was not good at all and I didn't not eat it . He says okay I'll take off my bill . My bill comes and it's off , when they ring up my check and bring the bill back it was $20 higher (they added it back on hoping I wouldn't notice) . Shady and now to try and make a couple bucks ; they lose me as a customer for life and I eat sushi a lot . I'll go back across the street and will not recommend to anyone . read more

I'm a pilot and I travel ALOT. And I love my sushi and Chirashi bowls. Anyways Sake Sushi is really great! When you go in there you got to meet Tony, he's the owner and the sushi chef. He's such a great guy to talk to when sitting barside. He and Sammy make the best sushi rolls and trust me it'll fill you up but you just want to keep eating. Lexi, Haley, and Hailey were all amazing as well when it came to service. They all work together and it's amazing. I recommend this place to anyone who wants great food and service! I know tipping isn't mandatory but you have to bc they're all just amazing. If I'm ever back towards this part of the US I'm definitely coming back to this place. This is my 2nd time since I'm here for a week. And both times were AMAZING. Even the other customers at the bar are friendly. They offer a great 2 and/or 3 item combo special which comes with a small bowl of salad and miso soup. When rolls are ordered as part of the combo they are only 1/2 orders which is great if you like to try different rolls without getting crazy stuffed. The salad appeared to be freshly cut greens which counts for a lot in my book too, none of that pre-packaged crud. This place is in the same shopping plaza as Stater Bros and the restaurant wasn't crowded at all, no wait for lunch when we went on a Sunday. Staff was really pleasant and attentive. Wonderful sushi restaurant. It was my birthday yesterday and I was in the mood for some sushi. The kids are all sick and my elderly parents did not want to go out. We normally go to our spot in Temecula but I really did not feel like driving to Temecula from lake elsinore to pick up sushi. I called in and it took a few times to get through to the staff because it was busy. Tony answered the phone and took my order. I had just looked at the menu and kinda ordered a bunch of different rolls and sashimi. Like a lot, let's just say more then would be ordered when 6 power eaters and 3 kids would at the actual restaurant. Well they did not disappoint I don't know all the names of the rolls I ordered but everything was yummy. We will definitely be going back to this place in the future. I should have taken a photo of the giant party platter they made but we inhaled it. The restaurant it self looked nice not a giant place but looks like a little hole in the wall in a large plaza. I hate to do this but me and my family literally got sick. I used to love this place when Andy owned it the food was always fresh and good tasting. I had went there once after the new owner. In fact he was in the restaurant after he had just acquired it. Found him to be a bit obnoxious when I asked about Andy he jokingly said he fired him. That time I ate there it was Ok but not as good as when chef Andy made it. To be expected I had found a few other sushi places I like, such as Sushi Plus One and Ahi in Lake Elsinore. One day we were craving sushi and my regular place I frequent was closed so I decided to give them another try it had been a long while. I ordered to go. When I called the lady who answered the phone was a bit short and kind of rude. I thought maybe it was due to them being busy. When I picked up my it was ready in a timely manner and there was only a few people there. I asked a few questions about the menu that seemed to annoy the waitress who I could tell was same person who took my order. Anyways paid for my food had to wait a little bit while my food was being bagged up. Killed some time by talking to the chefs behind the bar. Both really nice guys so why the bad review.....it was the food.....i should have took pictures before I trashed it all. First off they put a fried roll next to a fresh roll in same container. There was a white sauce drenched over everything, The fish and rolls tasted bad... two of them really bad like spoiled bad. I ordered the medium sashimi platter the yellow tail was good, the tuna was still frozen and had unusual texture, salmon had bones(idk how), rest was inedible. We had to throw out most of my $181 dollar order so never again. I was mad when I wrote this initial draft and in hind sight the chefs were cool but and that's why two stars but I can't get over the quality of that meal. read more
