Went in for a pedicure they were unable to take me which was understandable as I was a walk in. But the lady was rude she kept cutting me off when talking to her so we walked out. Also the worker there tried to rip me off and said I hit her car when I clearly did not I have cameras in my car and told her I could show her and she continued to say I hit her car and there was no scratches on either of the cars. If I could rate a zero I would read more

So I forgot to take before pictures but believe me when I say I haven't stepped into a real hair salon for 20 years and it showed. I wanted a fresh look and since we were on vacation, I went searching for somewhere that could do it all. Local reviews pointed out Gloria's Salon. Everything was super clean and like all of Mexico, they wear masks and ask that you sanitize hands upon entry & wear your mask, too (regardless of vaccination status). Since this is also a "teaching" salon, there is a small beauty supply store in the waiting area that had everything you could possibly need from bobby pins to men's and women's salon brand beauty products and everything in between (like a small Sally's beauty supply). I started with getting a full set of natural looking lash extensions. My technician spoke some English and was super friendly and sweet. I had seen her work on Facebook so it was easy to show what I was looking for. She did a mix of individual and fan lashes while I was reclined on a massage table. The process took over an hour so give yourself plenty of time. The cost I think was $38 and they turned out beautiful. Like stunning beautiful because they looked totally natural just fuller and a little longer. They didn't last super long though before needing a fill (2.5 weeks) when I got back to the US but it could have more to do with me than the application because she did a great job. Gloria herself came in to do my highlights and armed with pictures from their Facebook page, we settled on a color and style (caramel balayage). She had a student with her the whole time and while they mostly conversed in Spanish (which I am not the greatest at understanding), however, she spoke to me in English so there was no trouble communicating. They use a few different methods than the US just based off what I know from friends who are stylists but it's not bad and some actually prefer it that way (such as teasing or back combing for Balayage and brushing/combing wet hair). The process took a bit longer and kept them past closing but when Gloria noticed a 'brassiness' in the highlights, she recommended an immediate toning treatment to fix it instead of rushing me out the door. She even had a dinner party to get to so you know she is committed to making each visit perfect. When it was all said and done, I think it was altogether (lashes & hair) less than $100 USD I think. I could've cried since I never would've been able to afford this in the US honestly so this was like a Cinderella experience for me. I could not possibly recommend Gloria's Salon or her staff any higher. read more
