We found the best rose petal candy we've ever had--so good we had to go back for more to bring home with us. The nuts and spice mixes are divine, and we wish we had bought more of those. This store has variety, incredible quality, and friendly and helpful staff. Our limited French was not a problem at all, as staff weighed and priced items for us. With all the cultural riches and culinary delights that Marseilles has to offer, this store is a universe unto itself that must be visited and explored to be appreciated. Thank you, Saladin, for being such an outstanding representative of Mediterranean cuisine and especially Arabic culture!

Our first night in Marseille, instead of French food, my friend and I opted for Thai. We found this…read morerestaurant that was within walking distance from our hotel. From the outside and walking into the restaurant, we weren't particularly impressed with the ambiance. We walked through an entrance that did not seem like a restaurant, as it was cluttered with items and was hot. We were eventually led to the outdoor patio that served as the dining area for the restaurant. It was a covered patio surrounded by plants, some of them brown and wilted. Looks is very deceiving, as the food was quite delicious. We ordered the glass noodles with prawns and spicy noodles, also with prawns. For dessert, we ordered the pandan sticky rice with mango. Our server took excellent care of us and even brought some complimentary appetizers (cheese wrapped in egg roll wrapper). While the ambiance wasn't the greatest, we really enjoyed the food and the extra friendly service. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Definitely an affordable place, each plate is around €14-17 and it's plenty of food. My vegetarian friend was pretty happy with their vegetarian options. Staff was very friendly and most spoke English. Definitely recommend and would be back!

Fresh seafood, quick service, and reasonable prices? It's hard not to appreciate this spot…read more The good: -Tasty seafood - simple, tasty preparations and quite an offering of raw delights -Great price point - probably the most reasonably priced fresh seafood I found on my trip -Efficient - order at the front, carry your drinks/prepared items to a table of your choosing, and the other items will be brought to you by a server when ready -Convenient location walking distance from the water The could-be-better: -My razor clams were too sandy :( Overall: recommended! My only regret is not getting the sea urchin.

Digital menus with the day's offerings are available in both French and English. You need to order all of your food (no additions w/o getting back in line) We ordered a combo of their imperial prawns, langoustine, oysters, and sea urchin, along with a bucket of steamed mussels and fries. We were given a buzzer after ordering and food was delivered to the table after we found a seat. Everything we ordered was delicious, super fresh, and well priced considering the tourist-y area. The langoustines and prawns were especially good! I would eat here over getting bouillabaisse any day They provide a handy lemon scented wipe, but there are also clean bathrooms down stairs.
