An average sized supermarket with a large carpark.The supermarket always has buy one get one free…read moreoffers, a good range of products, good quality and if your short on pennys one week their own brand products are very cheap.Inside there is a fresh chicken and deli area, the butcher will prepare you some meat if what you want is sold out and there is also a fresh pizza section where they will also make them to what you want if there is none left or you want something different. Morrisons always have loads of offers on and the only problem is that sometimes queues are pretty big. They also have some tills where you can only pay with cash which is quite annoying as when it is busy and you are looking for a till you can miss the sign.

It recently converted to a key store, which means the prices have sort of evened out. It sells a small selection of groceries; mainly tinned foods and packets, although there are two freezers containing pizzas, chips and garlic bread to name a few. You can also buy pet food, medicines and toiletries, aswell as magazines and newspapers. There is an alcohol section which has a pretty comprehensive selection of beers and wines, ideal for a pre-party drink or for a gift. Behind the counter, cigarettes, cigars, lighter fluids and stationary can be purchased. One of the best things about the shop is the cold meat counter, which sells some of the nicest meats I have tasted. You can also get rolls made up and tea and coffee, although the selection is limited. It's convenient and easy for me, like I said; it is literally a minutes' walk from my back gate. Most of the staff are friendly and happy too. A downside is that you can't switch your groceries unless they are over £10, which can be a hassle for me as I rarely carry cash.

We've had the occasional lunch here on a weekend and the food is good and the service is what you would expect. One of these days we'll have to pop in and try their Afternoon Tea which is currently being subtlety promoted. The store itself has all the standard M&S foods which they somehow managed to cram into this tiny little store. It even has a small bakery for fresh breads and pastries and a small freezer section. For those on the go there's a small sandwich and party food section behind the min entrance, where you can grab a sandwich and get to the self service tills rather than fighting your way through the store just for a bit for lunch. It's always busy at the weekends, especially when they do a meal deal (best to go as soon as the advert airs on TV so that you don't miss out.) but if you time it right you can occasionally have the place to yourself to browse without tripping over the staff or having to dodge other customers baskets. As a vegetarian there is a decent choice available and M&S are slowly expanding their vegi options ( I'm not just thinking about their range of Veggie Percy Pigs, Colin the caterpillars, etc - honest ) however is is a bit frustrating when you see a nice desert on the TV adverts and find you can't have it because it contains Gelatine :-( Overall it's nice, good (slightly pricy) food, handy when you want a light lunch or hot drink, but best to avoid at peek times.

It has a cash-line outside of it, the first one in the area, and it's actually pretty reliable, usually in working order and hasn't been vandalised yet! The Tesco store itself is a good sized express, with about 5 or 6 aisles. It also sells flowers and gifts, which is a life saver if you need a last minute birthday card on the way to a party! The have a small bakery section, which sell the best croissants and maple pecan pastries I have ever tasted! They are gorgeous, and the smell makes your mouth water! There are plenty of staff on hand to help out, and they are always nice and chatty. There are three checkouts and two self serve points, which is great if you are in a hurry. The only thing I would say is that the alcohol is so expensive! Wines that you would get in Asda for £5 a bottle are about £7 or £8 in here, which I wouldn't bother paying. Particularly handy, because it is open from 6am till 11pm.

Great selection of beers probably the best in the area. As for the food a bit over priced but a good selection if that's your thing. You can also pick up online clothes orders here next day if you need new underpants.
