This Sally's was okay. It was mostly clean & organized when I came in 7/30/15. I wasn't greeted when I came in. Wasn't asked if I needed help. Wasn't greeted when I got to the register. Instead I waited for one of two female employees to stop screwing around with change in their register. The other thing I dislike about Sally's is the whole "pay $5 to get discounts" pitch. I guess if I frequented here enough, I'd do it, but certainly not after this visit. If it weren't for China Glaze nail polish ($7.49 per bottle) I would probably find an alternative beauty supply shop very quickly. They have a pretty swell product return policy, though. Horrible horrible customer service! Purchased root touch up spray, but accidentally got wrong color. Went to Bellgardens local for "even exchange" for right color. Employee behind counter tried charging me an addt'l $5+ because she claimed that I had to pay extra $$ even though I had used a reward cert. on original purchase. I basically told her NO that's not how it works, I technically paid with it along with $6.99 of my $$$, it should've been an even exchange $0 money due, then another employee jumped in to chime in telling me that I owed them money. They tried explaining to me (like I didn't understand or speak English) that the reward certificate can only be used on that day. Well guess what if you accept it like cash this exchange should have been a $0 charge. Who ever runs the show here needs to train the employees correctly! I will never return to this location and there's no way you actually expect someone to pay the difference when using a reward certificate!!! Don't give them out then, why bother!! read more

Terrible customer service . My mom has been a cosmetologist for 30+ years and has been a loyal Sally's customer for years. She's recently been diagnosed with spinal hernias and has rheumatoid arthritis which makes it grueling and painful to carry certain objects. I was on the phone with her while she entered the store when she asked the woman working there if they still provided shopping carts since she couldn't carry much. She explained the situation to her, to which the woman responded with "no we don't have them anymore and I can't help you either because I'm pregnant"...ok? 1. Learn some basic customer service and mannerism, there's a way to say things and the way she said it was extremely rude. 2. If you can't meet the physical needs of helping a customer out with carrying less than 10 lb items at a time then maybe have another employee that can fulfill said duties at the same time? I'm going to go ahead and give the benefit of the doubt and say she was given a drs order stating she can't carry things such as a gallon of product because I've carried far heavier objects than a simple gallon with each pregnancy and would hate to think she's using it as a scapegoat. I've been to this location multiple times since 2010 & I've never had an issue with any of the workers being rude to me. On my most recent visit, I was greeted at the door. When I was looking at some of the hair products I was approached by a worker who was very nice and polite. She helped me find the price to some of the items that didn't have a price tag. She also had a smile on her face the whole time I was there. I always come here for the PROCLAIM Olive Oil products. I love their whole line of products which is what keeps me coming back to Sally's. Plus, I love the way the product smells. I just started using the shampoo as well. If you haven't tried these products you should give them a try. I love the proclaim olive spray on glosser. Terrible customer service and no effort to help or try to find a solution. I placed an order online and came to the store to pick up my order. I give my name and then I am told by one of the employees that no order had been received in the store. Another employee by the name of Fatima proceeds to walk to the counter to assist. Fatima states that the system is down and they do not have an order nor have received one for me. I tried to show her my confirmation for my order and she disregard to me. So then I get on the phone and proceed to call customer service prior to that, I asked Fatima what is your solution to this issue. What protocol do you have in place for when this happened. I get it that your system is down. Unfortunately Fatima had no answer for me, however she does let me know that customer service might be closed because they're on different time zone. I get a hold of somebody and they tell Fatima and inform her that my order was processed, so that what she should do is take down my name order information and that once the system is up she needs to cancel my order once. She is also informed that she should apologize for the inconvenience which not once did she. Miss Fatima could've been a lot more assistant if she would've known what is the protocol to take once the system goes down. However she was unpleasant, rude and unhelpful. read more

Sorry, drove my wife to this location in our neighborhood. When she called to see if her order was ready since she placed it the night before. They should have emailed her some sort of confirmation by the next morning. She had to call customer service and they literally took like 1/2 an hour just to answer her simple question. If her order was ready they said it was. She call's the store and there answering machine comes on saying they are closed due to a holiday I'm like WTF what holiday. So that's why I had to drive her because she was not sure. And of course they are open her order was ready. Too much BS just to pick up some items. And check this out the container isn't even full she has bought this product before from same location and it's normally full to the top. ‍ Again it sucks that we work hard, we try every day to live a honest life be reasonable. But it makes it really unpleasant to buy anything anymore. Or be out in the streets. This little beauty shop is cool. I paid $5.00 to get a Sally's discount card and they gave me a $5.00 off coupon SO it's actually FREE! Great selection of nail polish. "Finger paints" brand is available there! They could work on getting more sulfate free hair products, they currently have only 2 brands. The makeup selection is very limited but I was able to find a great lipstick! read more

I came here because the Sally's I usually go too was out of my hair dye. This place seems larger and better kept than the Paramount one but this place keeps some hair dye's in the back. I get that there's theft but when I go to ask if they have certain products, they could do with being more friendly. I've only shopped at three Sally's, this one, the one in Paramount and the one in Compton. I've yet to find a Sally's with friendly, smiling customer service. I also don't like how they don't speak English or just randomly start speaking Spanish. This particular one though, the workers seem to have some serious attitude. I usually go to Sally's to purchase my shampoo and conditioner, some nail-polishes, face masks... you know the deal. Anyhow, can't really say much about this place since every time I walk in there I know what I'm looking for. Customer service is alright I guess, even though they didn't want to take my temporary debit card due to the fact that it had "Wells Fargo Customer" as the user name.I don't blame them though... they are somewhat in the hood. You can most defenetly tell this place is under new management. I walked in there two days ago and a girl with bright pink hair was very friendly and helpful. Today I went into the shop feeling nervous since I was trying to fix my hair from a color that really didn't workout for me, I had checked out a different Sally's location which was the one in Azalea, but the girl didn't help much. When I went into Sally's in Bell Gardens I was nervous that I'd get the same answers and attitudes, but luckily thanks to Laura one of the workers ( she had grey hair ) everything turned out very well. She helped us out really well and guided us through the process of what should be done to get rid of the color and what or what not to do. She was a great great help and I am sooo glad that I listened to her instead of the workers at the other Sally's location, she should get a raise for her wonderful customer service. Hooooorrible customer service!!!! Wasn't greeted on my way in, as I was shopping I had two different employees just walk right passed me in the isles and never ask if I needed assistance. When checking out the cashier never asked if I found everything okay NOTHING, literally never communicated except for "Sally's account?" And that was it! I was there close to closing and one of the employees was just standing at the door the whole time waiting on me to leave and making me feel super rushed and uncomfortable. So I come to this Sallys very rarely because the service has gotten sooooo bad ...I've worked in the area for most of my stylist career & they were so good with everything up until last year ...they had this flaka named Ophelia she literally always had a bad fkn attitude wi th me (witch is hard to ignore when you are a regular customer & need this store to do my work in salon) , so I started going to the one in SG, today I had absolutely no time to go all the way over there so I decided to stop by and restock some color for the weekend, there usually is a special for pros when u buy a dozen but I noticed it was double what I usually pay so I asked this new girl heavy set with cat eye glasses and a bun (she didn't have a name tag) if those colors would be going any lower on price anytime soon so maybe I could just get what I needed then come back when they're cheaper & restock , she looked at me like I was stupid and said they never go lower than that , how much lower did I want them to go , I told her sorry I'm a pro and I never pay this ridiculous price she said then I must not be buying at Sallys (even tho I have been coming here longer than her employment! ) ...I just put my shades on and left to the SG store , I spend Hundreds of dollars at this store every month to be treated like I don't know what the hell I'm talking about ...
