Prior to booking we always make sure we filter during our hotel search for "dog friendly" or "Pets allowed" hotels. As I was searching through Priceline and adding the filters I found this hotel which seemed great and most of all accommodated our dog as well. My family and I are from the US and flew to bodrum for a family vacation. Firstly, upon arrival it was nothing as it looked on the pictures. Secondly, the second we walked in the front desk receptionist said to my husband and I "is this your animal ?" We responded "yes" and they said, "NO! This is forbidden.. animal is forbidden here." We we're very shocked and said that we booked with them via Priceline where it said "pets allowed" they asked me to show them where I saw that which I did and they followed with "oh we don't even work with Priceline or know that site" my family and I were in shock and also very confused. The 2 front ladies at the front desk were especially so rude. My husband had called prior to make sure everything was good to go to which they remembered but they did not care at all. We had just traveled all that way to have nowhere to stay. They did not accommodate us what so ever, they were very rude to us, didn't help us find another hotel that actually allowed dogs, and they were ultimately so unprofessional. Priceline is a very big site for them to "not know what it was" or that they booked through there. This hotel is a complete false advertisement and disappointment. Never ever stay here. Definitely look into another hotel. In the end we found a great place to stay at the Ramada resort. Highly recommended.

We had our dinner in hotel restaurant seated at a table near the pool with a great view of the sunset. The buffet breakfast consisted of a nice selection of delectable foods. However, the hotel needs to improve on some maintenance issues in its rooms and ensuring that Wi-Fi is available in all parts of the hotel for that extra star.

However, the website tatilsepeti had a minimum of 4 nights and I could have only stayed 2. I went to a local restaurant to get internet access because here comes problem number one- their wifi was not working. I was advised to go to another website booking.com, but the prices were similar and I got tired of trying to research online and ended up booking the room with the hotel itself. My advice would to be to book online in advance if you know exactly where you are staying. There are many resorts that are all inclusive so you really need to know what you would like as your location. The room was ok. The resort needs renovation in their rooms, but that was not an issue for me. I picked this one because it was the only one filled with people. I liked that it was busy. Everywhere else was quite as I went there off season. Well the food is ok. They had a lot of choices, but I chose to explore the area and eat in restaurants because I wanted to experience the town and the towns nearby. The drinks are all inclusive if it's domestic which was fine by me because I wanted to explore the local alcohol as well. The pool and the beach are absolutely gorgeous. So here comes problem number 2- the air conditioning did not work in the room with the master bed. We discovered that around 1:30am after we were done frolicking around bodrum. Exhausted, I dialed the little 0 button and asked for for help. Someone arrived right away and could not get the ac to work. Now, were stuck having to stay in the room with the double beds. Nice alternative when you are on vacation with your husband and would really like to sleep in the same bed with him. Please note the sarcasm during this review. I had all of my clothes and jewelry laid out on the beds and staged the little room to be sort of a closet so it wasn't messy. So now, EXHAUSTED, I had to dump everything to make room for us to sleep. So now comes problem number 3, but it wasn't a huge issue because I was able to sleep through it, but if you are a light and/or early sleeper then you may want to consider that you are in a huge club town and they are open until 4am. The noise is loud! Thankfully, the windows block most out, but don't think you can chill on a balcony and enjoy the nice sound of the sea. I picked the place because it wasn't quite so again this was not an issue. So now, comes problem number 4, the floor was wet when I woke up.. Wondering where the puddles of water is coming from, I went to the reception at 9am. 9:45 after speaking with the manager for the second time they arrived. I had a 10am appointment for a boat tour so basically I missed having a sit down breakfast because I was waiting around for the tech guys to show up. So here comes the best part, how about you give me a break and discount the room as I would STILL like to book another night. Not because I loved the place, but I do not want to pack up and move again. (I was in another resort before this one) so the manager offered to give me 10% discount after all this headache. It is a slap in the face, but I did not have time to talk as I had to be at the boat tour at 10am and I was not returning until 5pm. Obviously, I can't move hotels at the point and I'm stuck. So i left bunch if people in my room whom I don't know to work on the ac and the water problem from apparently the ac that actually does work. So here comes number 5- I get back from the boat trip and I'm not able to enter the room. I go back to the reception and speak with the front desk manager who proceeded to tell me she needed to scan my card for the additional night that I booked, but because I was the one in a hurry did not do so. So you may wonder how long it took her to scan my card for the additional night. Hmmm.. 10 seconds! So this leads to be believe she neglected to do so when I was there earlier that morning. I would have appreciated an "I apologize, I forgot to scan your card for the additional night you booked." When you are in Turkey in a tourist area, you get hassled a lot. The way I see it they need to make money during the season so they make up for it by jacking up the prices and hassling you on the streets. However, I expect the hotel to not bullsh*t me in the process of an honest error. So here's my recommendation: great area, book by pool so it's quite at night and lively during the day. Have a great trip! Absolutely beautiful country.

From the minute you arrive at AMANRUYA you feel special. You are greeted with a drink and cold towels and taken to reception. I immediately noticed the beautiful stone work which took years to create. Every pebble you walk on was hand placed. I don't think any photos I've seen of AMANRUYA capture how beautiful and warm feeling this resort is. The architecture is serene and understated yet also magnificent and magical. It's important to know that the terrain is hilly and that there are many small staircases to climb. I recently had knee surgery and it was a bit difficult for me, but I was happy to have the exercise! Hamza the front office manger, showed me some more accessible rooms that are close to the entrance and told me that they can pick you up in a golf cart and easily take you to the dining room and pool if mobility is a problem. They have a secret way of circumventing the steps. The rooms are huge and they were kind enough to put an extra single bed in the room for me as I was traveling with a friend and I didn't want to share a bed with her since we both snore! The bed is huge and comfortable. My favourite part is the curtain that you can pull all the way around the bed which makes you feel like you are sleeping in your own private cloud. I have to admit that it makes a great backdrop for doing shadow puppets so I couldn't resist putting on a show and my friend in the single bed had a good laugh. I love sparse minimal design, but the room could really use a Turkish Kilim (rug) on the floor to give it a bit of life and to make it feel like you are in Turkey. The rooms feel empty, like they're missing something. Hamza organized for Engin the kilim carpet vendor to come to the resort to show me some options because I'm super picky and wasn't happy with anything I'd seen in Turkey up to that point. I sent Engin a photo of what I was interested in (which was a more subdued 1950s colour palette) and Engin came with a whole stack of carpets to show me. He lent me three carpets for the duration of my stay so that I could see I I liked them. There was no pressure. The Kilims redecorated my Aman hotel room and wow, what a difference they made. The room came alive, it was an astounding difference. I think it would be great if the rooms all had a Kilim it took the room from great to perfect! Hamza was there for us whenever needed. Anything we could think of, Hamza had a suggestion or a solution...really fantastic. Hamza organized a day trip for us on a traditional wooden Gulet boat that Bodrum is known for. We spent the day touring the Aegean near Bodrum. What a magical experience. The water was really warm and the sea is so salty that you bob around like a cork. We had a great time and swam to shore at one of our stops. The most hilarious part of the day was when I waved at a speed boat that was zipping by. The boat made a sharp turn and came over to us...I thought that they were coming over to say hello, but they were selling ice cream. What a fantastic treat out in the middle of nowhere. It was an unforgettable day and I am so glad that Hamza suggested it. It's important to address the mosquitos, since someone else in a previous review had complained about them. I was there in late October which is the high season for mosquitos and I had very little trouble with mosquitos. I am a person that is allergic to mosquitos and I am usually the one that gets all the bites. Yes, I was bitten about 6 times, but the bites were tiny and not very itchy. For me the mosquitos at this time of year are not a problem at Amanruya. They were active right as the sun was setting and against my better judgment I sat outside during tea time. So here is my criticism, and I notice that I am not the only person who has noted that the food really needs improvement. I hope someone from AMAN reads the reviews, because it has been repeatedly commented on by previous guests and no-one seems to have done anything to improve the food. Breakfast is great. All Turkish breakfasts are usually great, but their traditional MENEMEN which is made of eggs, tomatoes and peppers was by far the best that I had in Turkey. The breakfast servers are far superior and much more friendly than the servers at night time. Sitting at dinner you need to notify staff that you are there. If you don't you will be sitting for a long time. Not only was the service at dinner awful, one of the waiters had a terrible attitude and on top of this the food was not great either. In fact it was mediocre, bland and uninspired and we ate three dinners here. Guests expect the food at an Aman to be incredible. The food should be equal to the architecture and the location which is incredible. In this instance it was not on par at all. What a disappointment.

He was on time. I really enjoyed my class, he worked hard with me so I get all the details. I took his class two days in a row and third day I rented for practice. At the end of third day, I was surfing smoothly. I strongly recommend Atilla. His price was reasonable. I am happy I found him for learning windsurfing, because now I have a new hobby.
