She is really meticulous and communicative so I feel really relaxed knowing we're on the same page before the service even begins. I was looking for a hairstylist in Orange and I stumbled upon this place on Yelp and decided to schedule an appointment with Sivana, hair goddess extraordinaire. She listened to my concerns, looked at what I wanted (balayage), and suggested a better color option based on what I've currently been doing as well as maintenance. The process took about five hours with the blow drying and styling. Although I was there for a long time, Sivana was a delight to talk to. I love how easygoing she is and how informative she is about how to take care of one's hair after getting a balayage. She really did an amazing job with my coarse thick hair. I really would recommend seeing Sivana! She will definitely take care of you like she did with me. I was added an extra $85 dollars for a haircut in addition to a root touch up and shampoo. I was told it would be a total of 125 for my next service because it would be less because I wouldn't need to pay as much for the keep of my roots. My last service was a haircut, root touch up and shampoo. I wish she could of told me that it would be more because of the haircut and given me the total; a courtesy heads up rather than just charging me. I pretty much paid for a car payment with my haircut when you add tip, which was $240. I am very happy with my hair, but the cost is ridiculous. I found another hair salon with all the same services for half the price. Lori, my hair stylist, new what she was doing, and quite frankly I am not happy with the manipulation. I am completely traumatized by what had happened to my ear and hair during my haircut appointment. Essentially what had happened is that Gina, the hairstylist I was booked with had yanked my earring on the right side of my ear when grabbing my hair and my ear started bleeding because the earring was pulled through. The backing of the earring was also pulled inside of my ear because of hard she had pulled my earring and hair. I had to push it back so that the backing of my ear would not be stuck inside of my ear. When this all happened, Gina was freaking out but did not apologize to me nor did she ask if I was okay. I was in tears and when she gave me the towel for the blood on my ear, she told me to stop using the towel because she thought it would make it worse. I wanted to use the towel to stop the bleeding. Another hairstylist had come by to ask if I was okay and if I needed anything, and Gina proceeded to answer for me saying I was okay and I didn't need anything. I told the hairstylist that I wasn't okay and that I did need something to help with my ear. The other hairstylist did give me a wet towel and dry towel to use. Also during my haircut, I asked for long blended layers and even showed Gina several reference pictures of what I had wanted, but she completely butchered my hair. I had really long and thick hair, but now my hair is completely choppy. When I told her how it wasn't blended, she kept on telling me it was and that it is a pointed haircut. But that was not what I asked for. I also had to pay for the haircut in spite of what had happened. read more
