I've been looking for years, for a place that can get a clean, sanitary pedicure. I thought I'd give a $40 salon pedicure a try. It took her 5 minutes to clean-up from her last pedicure, so I know the portable foot basin was not sanitized. She used an old emery board to file and and old "pumice" to exfoliate my heels, which she tried to hide in her palm so I wouldn't notice.The metal clippers etc. came out of a filthy plastic storage caddy, not from a sealed sanitized plastic pouch. I opted to not have polish so that I may run home and soak my feet in alcohol. She also only takes cash, which was huge inconvenience. I'll stick to going to a high end spa or doing it myself to avoid the dreaded fungus that is being spread like wildfire through nail salons. read more

i needed a change and had some scheduling conflicts with my stylist of over ten years and searched yelp for a new salon when i found salon diva. i sifted through all the reviews and kept seeing that christen white had so many awesome reviews, so i decided to book an appointment with her. i was chopping off about 7 or 8 inches of hair and had a wedding to go to that same day, so the pressure was on. christen handled it like a pro and gave me exactly what i asked for. like exactly! she noticed the issues i had with my prior cut/color corrected them, taking note of my hair type and how it would be affected by the cut she was giving. and when i wanted another inch cut off, she didn't roll her eyes at me...she agreed that it would look good and went for it. the results were fantastic and she landed herself another loyal client! there was small talk, quiet time, laughs, and commiserating. christen is very relatable and is so good at what she does. she was on time and although i prepared my "i'll just call back to make my next appointment" speech in case i wasn't overjoyed, i eagerly booked my next appointment. sold, sold sold! read more

I found this place online (the shop is hidden so you would never find it by just driving around). I was lucky to get an appointment on a holiday weekend. The price quoted was very reasonable for a full weave and highlight. I got Danielle and she immediately put me at ease with her open and friendly mannerism. She had a client prior to me that was upset with her hair color (I saw it and I thought it looked gorgeous!) and Danielle politely excused herself to handle the client with grace and composure. Once she returned to me, she did a fabulous job on my hair. I have a mountain of hair, but she never complained. The color and cut were fantastic, and she really listened to me when I told her my concerns. I highly recommend Danielle, but the entire salon was very friendly also. read more

The first six months in the OC I felt like a fish out of water. No one will give you a solid recommendation if their life depended on it. I was baffled. So, on a whim I walked into Salon Diva and met Tony. My hair was dry, color over due and needing major grey touch up and the cut needed a LOT of love. I sat down and asked for recommendations. It was instant love... He got it, he got me and I said "run with it" and he did. I walked out feeling gorgeous and looking even better... so thankful to have met him. It is not often you meet folks in this profession that take a few minutes to get to know you, make very solid recommendations, have a mastery at this trade and confidence to tell you what will look great and what won't. I am not a cookie cutter blond, in fact, I keep going darker and shorter. I love that I can sit down and just say "give me an update" and he does. Very fairly priced and on top of great service and quality work he is just interesting and fun to be around (which makes the hours in the chair fly by). Super dissapointed.... Recieved a gift certificate for a cut & style with Teri Layne as part of an auction basket I bid on at a school fundraiser. Passed the GC on to my mom, as I knew she was looking for a new stylist. She called, spoke with Teri, and set an appointment for the haircut. Showed up for the appointment to wait 20 minutes, and the hair dresser to no show. Front desk receptionists was apologetic, and called the stylist to be told she didn't have her on her books, but had another customer scheduled for 30 later so she couldn't see her. My mom said she seemed a little weird when she was booking the appt, almost like she was hesitant to book her since she wasn't a paying customer. I'm sorry, but if charity isn't your thing, don't donate your time or service to benefit auctions people pay good money for! You could have had a lifelong customer, but instead ensured my mom, and definitely myself will never visit that salon! read more

Fantastic Salon with a great vibe, nice people and cool decor. Christen White is AMAZING! I am super low maintenance but love my long hair AND want it to be gorgeous. She cuts it so well all I do is wash and go and it looks amazing. I get compliments on my hair all the time and smile because I know it was nothing I had to do. Just yesterday I went in to get the Ombre coloring look and she did such a good job I am almost cried. The coloring looks absolutely natural and is blended perfectly. I have been going to Christen White for two years, after several frustrating experiences at other salons (my last stylist was nice but I was never happy with the outcome). I have been going to Danielle for 2 years or so, which is the most consistently I've ever stuck with one hair stylist. The reason is that she is talented beyond words! She is knowledgable, experienced, pleasant to chat with, and genuinely cares about your experience while being in her seat.
