Lindsay Goldchainz is your girl to go to for any cut or color. She is extremely knowledgeable, listens to what you want, but at the same time, she may suggest what she thinks will best suit you. This is for microdermabrasion with Greer at Salon Gallery & Suits. There's parking in the back, go through the last door, it should have a 4 on it. I wanted to wait until I was half way through my sessions to write this review. I got the 6 sessions on groupon (she'll give you the same deal if you contact her!). I have a bit of acne on my face and scars from picking my skin, bad habit. I didn't expect a miracle, but I received it! Greer is fantastic! You can call or text her to set up an appointment then she'll walk you through the process and ask what problems you have so she can go over those areas more thoroughly. I would recommend going when you're not breaking out. I haven't had any bad breakouts since...I'll have a small pimple here and there but it goes away within a day. I didn't change my diet nor facial regimen so I'm going to say this is a miracle for me! Greer is fantastic, we chat during each session and she'll tell me tricks on how to cook since I'm still learning. She's very down to earth and very thorough when she's doing your face. Don't expect anything glamorous, once you walk in and down the hall you'll see Greer's booth/room will be the 3rd on the left. It's a dim lit room with a table to lie down on for your facial. First she'll wipe your face clean with a sponge and wipe it dry. She'll start using the microderm machine (feels like a cat licking you with suction). Afterwards she'll put on facial cream with a brush. She'll leave it on for 5-10 minutes then wipe it off with a warm wet towel and apply moisturizer and you're done! Sessions should only take around 20-30 minutes! TL;DR; My face is clearing up nicely. Price is AMAZING. Greer is AWESOME. GO GO GO. I'm going to continue my sessions after my groupon expires since she'll honor the same price! read more

I knew haircut was supposed to be a relaxing and happy thing; however, after relocation and met a few "not exactly what I expected" stylists, I got more and more disappointed and nervous. In October 2015, I had to cut my hair due to lacking layers. I researched a lot (thanks to Yelp) and found Salon Galeery & Suites. I did not know any stylist there; however, I saw RANY offering a Groupon and I decided to go to her. So glad I did. Rany was so young (and pretty!); but trust me, age is NEVER a standard to judge a stylist (my hair had been cut horribly by a so-experienced stylist). Rany started conversations, made sure she understood what I was looking for, explained every procedure and even double checked every product she was going to use on me after I told her I had very sensitive scale. She gave me a deep conditioning (with water and magazines), a detail haircut with layers, and a blow dry. It cost her nearly two hours and she was sooooooooo patient and nice!----my hair turned PERFECT. If a stylist could only do a great style for that moment you stayed in a salon, that was not the best; a best stylist would have you look amazing at that moment AND when your hair was growing: my hair did maintain beautiful layers even growing longer and longer. Then Rany was on her maternity leave (congratulations a beautiful mom!), and my friend recommended me another stylist. The nightmare came back. That stylist was so nice and good at cutting layers; however, she cut my hair edge to be a straight, strong, horizontal line----I am an Asian girl, and a harsh strong edge (lined up like grid lines) means a COMPLETE DISASTER in Asian hair styling. I was about to cry at that moment, and that stylist even tried to convince me she was the one who knew much more about haircut then me. As expected, when my hair was growing, that terrible horizontal line was not even, it looked like it was done by the three-year-old me myself who used paper scissors to cut my own hair. Thank God Rany was back in May! She took me immediately for a fix and she did fix it! I would call it a magic: after an hour, the harsh edge was gone but the beautiful layers and natural end were all back! I would never ever go to anywhere else but trust Rany from now on. This place looks really nice and that's all I said in my last review but when I got a facial the lady's cell kept ringing during it and she'd answer it! It really pissed me off cuz I was looking forward to it being relaxing. I also got my haircut here. I had a free cut, shampoo/deep conditioning gift card and another one for a free cut, 5 highlights and shampoo/condition. I made it clear that I'd pay for all the highlights my first time and than use the gift card next time. She made me pay for the highlights, crossed out that I had already gotten the free 5 highlights when I wanted that for next time and crossed out my other free cut and shampoo. Made an appointment after buying a deal from Living Social App. (3 Microdermabrasions for $60) First of all I read Yelp reviews for everything. I went in very aware of the bad reviews for this specific Esthetician, Greer. I like to give people a chance and decide for myself. People have bad days and can change. I called in to schedule an appointment at 9:00AM and got a 1:00PM time. No parking issues. Some parking in front and more in the back. Salon Gallery location is in the nice Old Tustin Area but not right on Main/1st street. Wait was 10mins. There isn't really a lobby area, but the salon itself is nice so I didn't mind the wait. I waited in the hair stylists area. It's upscale-esque, but not too uptight. The actual service I received from Greer was good. She has a small room, no fluorescent lighting. Comfortable table to lie on. This is my first time with this treatment, so Greer explained step by step what she was doing. There was light conversation. The usual "where ya from, etc" that you would expect from any service. As far as relaxation issues that were discussed in other reviews. I didn't have a problem with not being relaxed. It was a 30-min treatment and I was as relax as you could get in that timeframe. Check out was easy. I made my 2nd appointment. The receptionist was super nice when my phone wasn't getting service and having difficulties redeeming the Living Social voucher. She said I could just print it out and it could be redeemed on my 2nd appt. I thought that was nice. (some places can be uber rude when it comes to online discount purchases) I left a good tip (ALWAYS TIP PEOPLE!!) For the 5-star review, I left 5-stars cause I thought it should even out the 2 or 1 star reviews of other people. This was a solid 4-star in my opinion. I would go there again and recommend it/ even gift someone with this place. In summation, Greer is nice. She knows what she is doing. And she has earned one additional happy customer today! I was a client here from 2010-2017 and have experienced a mix bag in terms of quality with the stylists and estheticians. I continued going there for so long only because JULIA (esthetician) was stellar! She gave excellent sugar services & was always professional and hardly ever had to reschedule with me. Unfortunately she has moved to Santa Barbara and is no longer at Salon Gallery. Kat (esthetician) is very nice and reasonable with her pricing... hopefully her scheduling has improved (hopefully no more needing to reschedule on clients at the last minute). Greer (esthetician) was late arriving to 2 of the 4 appointments I had with her. At my last appointment with Greer, she made a mess of the sugar treatment (she couldn't get it at the right temperature & texture) and it spilled on me so she used wax instead. Then she had the nerve to still charge me for the more expensive sugar price (instead of the cheaper wax price)! Michelle (hair stylist) did an great job & she's very nice, but too pricey ($60-75) just for a haircut. Sue (manicurist) is not bad, but is often running over time with her appointments, and reschedules your start time a lot. She's very nice and paints very well, but she's not too open to change if you, the paying client, ask her to not to trim your cuticles, etc. read more

It's actually 3.5 stars and I was all for rounding up until I got charged a $2 fee because I was using my card to pay. For fitting me in at the last minute, I do have to say I was quite pleased with the service. It's a beautiful salon. I haven't decided yet if I like the way it's divided into separate rooms, but having the nails in a separate room wasn't bad. I could find myself making this my regular place if I lived in the area, depending on the prices they charge for everything else. I have box dyed my hair jet back, went blonde, and tried going back to my natural color but was unsuccessful with other stylist. Until I went to see Danny. I went to Kari Quimby in 2006 for a trial up-do for my wedding and walked out with a color correction, highlights and the best hair cut of my life. I've been going to her ever since. This review is for Kim Randazzo and the keratin smoothing treatment: Kim I cannot thank you enough for talking me into this and doing it as efficiently as you did. This tedious task that you did that took so long and yet you were as patient and detailed hours into it as you were from the start. Incredible job incredible results thank you so much. I did this treatment on Oct 16th. Im a month and many washes in. I wanted to wait to see if it was only going to be good for a week or two but washout quickly but it is the real deal and still going strong. The before picture is my hair still partially wet so not even at full frizz, also it was partially dried wrapped in a tight bun which is to make it less frizzy. The after pictures are straight out of the shower AIR DRIED ONLY. I I did this yelp account specifically for this because I'm blown away and here is my hair history for anyone who needs further information or has doubts or just knows the horror of nappy frizzy hair. I am not one to give out random reviews unless it comes up in conversation or somebody directly asks me if I tried something. But in this case I have to. When results are so drastic and so immediate it's a huge deal. Anyone who knows me personally or has known me for years knows the struggle of my hair. Growing up being called the N word...being called Mufasa (Lion King)... Being made fun of constantly because of my hair. I finally had it chemically relaxed at age 12 which honestly didn't do too much but fry my hair. But at least after that I learned how to straighten it at home with a curling iron and blow drying. Back then it would take me about three hours but at least it wasn't the curly nappy mess anymore. As time has gone on and tools have gotten a lot better it's been easier with better results but still is A time-consuming annoyance. When I would tell people "I can't do anything tonight it's a hair washing night" it wasn't a lie. When Kim who has been doing my hair for 10 years now told me about this keratin smoothing treatment, I just said "No I wont do anything to my hair, I never want to go through that damage again and have it fall out". She kept explaining to me that it's not a relaxer that it's just a protein smoothing treatment... doesn't actually hurt your hair. I did not believe her until she told me that you can overlap it root to tip over and over again and use it with color. My "The worst always happens" complex kept me from doing it for months. Kim told me that I should have an over 80% reduction in frizz...possibly even over 90. I'm not going to lie... I thought "Bullshit... Not my hair." I've had 31 years of no luck with products disappointment after disappointment when it comes to products that are supposed to work magic on my hair. I figured maybe a 20% reduction on me... Which would still be awesome and so helpful so why not. So I did the treatment, left it in for four days. When I washed it I noticed that I could do something that I have never ever been able to do. I could run my fingers through my hair while wet and even after I put in the shampoo I could still run my fingers through it. Now that might not mean much to most people but I have literally never been able to do that. Even after matting it up to really clean my scalp, I could still then run my fingers right through it. Even after rinsing it all out and before conditioner. I know it's stupid but I seriously almost teared up. But then it was time for the real test... see what it looks like when it dries. I did not blow it out because obviously I wanted to see what my hair now looks like when air dried. I am absolutely shocked with the results. I could not believe that it was my hair. I did not even need to blow dry it. It dried better on its own then what it looks like when I spend an hour blowing it out with a round brush prior to this treatment. Amazing. read more
