I had my hair cut by Alex Shorman a few weeks ago, and I love my new hair! I didn't have any idea what I needed to happen because I had a lot of dry broken ends, it feels thin, and I was worried about losing my length and how to get my hair healthy again. She listened to all of my concerns and recommended a shampoo/conditioner to strengthen my hair, gave me a cut that made my hair look and feel healthy and full, and does not require a ton of upkeep. I've worn it three different ways now, and it is just the perfect cut for me. The salon was great, it feels upscale but unpretentious. Other stylists felt free to chat or weigh in on what hair decisions we were making, just very friendly and comfortable like I'd been going there for years. I highly recommend this salon. Had a makeup application with Alexandra, with assist from Kathy. I told her that I wanted something very natural for a wedding. This salon uses extremely good products. Alexandra consulted with me to make sure that I was comfortable with what she was doing as I told her that I do not normally wear makeup. I attended the wedding and felt comfortable the whole time because I never felt that my makeup was overdone. I also ended up getting a blowout which allowed me to relax before getting dressed instead of doing my hair on my own. The salon has very good energy. I'm so happy that I picked this salon! I highly recommend Ana. She has been doing my hair for several years now and always does such an amazing job. This salon is in a great location, right off of the 5, Lomas Santa Fe exit, with plenty of parking. The interior is very clean and well kept. It has an open design so it does not feel crowded when having your hair done. Ana, who has been at this salon over 1 year, is the best stylist. She is always professional, listens to your suggestions and feedback on what you are looking for, and is very skilled at many styles of haircuts, as well as hair coloring and specialized treatments. Toni the Esthetician is awesome! My acne has cleared up in three short treatments. She has high frequency, lashes extensions, tattoo removal, and more. My skin is starting to age and I was getting tons of breakouts. Had been going to spa Gregories for years and three short spots with Toni and I'm fixed. Thank goodness. Kathy is an excellent colorist. She's covering my grays and making it look natural. Another salon owner in Encinitas had fried my hair. Kathy has the goal of getting it healthy first. This place is so cute and cozy and in a great location in Solana Beach.......right next to Golden Spoon & Starbucks.
