When I showed up for the appointment, Fabio wasn't there. Apparently, it was his day off. I let the other stylist who was there cut my hair, which turned out to be a big mistake. He gave me one of the worst haircuts of my life. At the end, he started yelling at me, saying he had warned me about my bangs being too short, but that wasn't even the issue. I almost walked out because he was yelling so much. He refused to give me the owner's phone number. I finally just paid and left. It's unfortunate because Fabio was excellent, and I would like to see him again, but I will definitely not return to this salon after this experience.

I went in blonde and left with dull, muddy, pink-toned hair after a keratin treatment and gloss. When I raised concerns in the salon, I was told it was just the lighting and that the redness was my skin, not my hair. once I arrived home and looked in the mirror I saw that my gut feeling was right and that simply wasn't true. I contacted the salon with photos taken on the same day (before washing my hair at all), and then a few days after a wash yet was blamed for "products used at home," despite photos proving otherwise and only using shampoo without sulfates. The gloss they had put in was clearly over-processed, and the keratin compromised the quality of my hair. I asked for a refund or resolution and was refused a refund outright. Accountability was lacking, and the issue was deflected back onto me which I found very unprofessional. If you're a brunette you may be fine, but blondes should proceed with caution.

I do not recommend Defined Studios for lash and brow services. The gal I saw did not ask me how I wanted my lash lift so I did speak up (and requested what I wanted in a way that's given great results at 5+ other places) and she took creative control in the worst way. For the brows she took 20 mins to do like 5 big wax strips and tweezed maybe 10 hairs on the tails of my brows and they look very sloppy. She never asked if I was happy with the service and I did not ask her to fix anything because the initial results were so bad I would not trust her to make any fixes. They also had the worst salon chairs I've ever had where they lean you back in a sitting position in a way that puts so much pressure on your lower back and I've been in pain all day. I also found it extremely odd that the gal doing my service barely spoke to me unless I asked a question, but carried on a conversation with another employee and her client the whole time (sharing stories about dogs they knew who got run over!) as if I was not there.
