A production brewery hidden in an industrial area! They had a small little taproom that was nicely air conditioned. A highlight was the conversation with the beertender, Adam. He knows his stuff and we enjoyed talking with him as we enjoyed an IPA and Stout from their line up. Stopped in to this local brewery for a few beers before dinner. They only had a few beers on tap, but we weren't sure what to get. We were greeted right away from the nice bartender, and he told us that we could sample anything, so we did. We got Island Time, Queen of Hills, and Pink Floaties. All were good and my favorite was the Pink Floaties, a strawberry wheat ale. It was pretty busy with the locals, but all of the workers made us feel very welcoming. read more

Stopped by this brewery today to try out some new brews! Unfortunately all they have right now is basic beers you can find anywhere nothing brewed there stopped brewing to work on the addition! Just started brewing again will be awhile till their brews are back in! We didn't stay! Will try again in a few months! read more

After venturing to Pier Park we decided to check out a brewery just across the bridge in Panama City. We really didn't know what to expect when coming here. The building looks like it could be a mechanics garage but it isn't. The parking lot is also gravel and sand. The inside is small but, we managed to find seating at the bar beings all the tables were taken. They also had a food truck outside you could order from. I believe it was a Cheesesteak food truck however we didn't order any food this visit. We were greeted by a few friendly faces behind the bar and appreciate their patience as we were deciding what four beers we wanted to do for a flight. After sharing a flight my friend sampled their German chocolate beer but, got a full pour of one of the sours. I got a full pour of their blonde ale. This is definitely a cool place to visit if you're in the PCB area. Definitely hope to come back here again. read more

First of all, I recently helped grow a group here in St. Louis called the Society of Bacchus. It's a Young Friends of Soulard Mardi Gras. But we call ourselves the SOBs (Society of Bacchus!) Pulling into the Salty Oak Brewing parking lot I let our an audible shriek of excitement because their sign said SOB. I knew I was going to love my experience here. Salty Oak Brewing is definitely in a more residential park of Panama City and clearly a spot for locals. But I'm an SOB so we stopped in to try their beer. The vibe of the brewery is amazing to me. It's exactly what I look for in a brewery experience. No pretentiousness. There is a garage full of video games and an outdoor area with lawn games. It feels like you're hanging out at a friend's house for the afternoon. As for the beer, I thought it was really solid! It has that genuine micro-brewed taste. Clearly Salty Oak Brewing isn't the biggest brewery in Florida, and that's really something I love. I love that you can feel the love and passion in each sip. The other aspect of the beer that I likes was the no-nonsense flavor. They did an IPA and it was an IPA that tasted like an IPA. Getting the basics down. While I do love a nice experimental beer there's something to be said for enjoying a nice solid craft beer. Oh and there was the world's cutest and friendliest pup while we were visiting. First time we visited the new (or not so new now) digs. We were on the doorstep at 4.00pm and got Pablo got his flight order in sharpish. Everything was good but perhaps the Pink Floaties is more of a summer drink. The ciders were particularly good and we are snobby Brits when it comes to cider. They were not the usual sweet at all. As I am not a beer drinker, I was pleased to find un-oaked chardonnay. The boy serving was lovely, super enthusiastic and knowledgeable, his enthusiasm was infectious. A nice stop for us to soak up the final rays of the day in more ways than one. read more

Loved the beer. Loved the atmosphere, loved the food truck! We even made some new friends! We brought our daughter and the staff was sooooo nice to her! She made some friends! The beer was AWESOME! I love local breweries and want to support as many as possible. Their beer was great, they have a fantastic variety ( not JUST IPAs) there's something for everybody. I appreciate the vibe they're going for allowing pets and cultivating a casual atmosphere, however I did find a dog hair inside my glass, after I drank my entire beer. I didn't ask for a refund, I already consumed it. What's done is done. But having a dog behind the bar seemed like a health code issue and obviously lead to contamination. Only after drinking my full beer did I notice the server petting a dog and pouring beer without washing his hands in between. Please reevaluate the boundaries set for pets inside. Everything else was very clean. But nobody wants to drink dog hair. read more

Was excited on my last trip to Panama City to see that a brewery had opened up in town, but was disappointed upon getting there to find out that they don't actually sell anything brewed on site, instead selling a selection of beer brewed elsewhere. The staff said that they would be doing some original beers in the future, but didn't seem to know when. Keeping in mind they don't brew anything, it was still an ok visit. Some of the beers they had were ones that I haven't had before, though wish they'd focus on beers from around the area rather than the nationwide focus they seemed to have. Looks like this place also sells brewing supplies (though I'm perfectly ok with leaving the brewing to the professionals). Hoping this place can get their brewery off the ground for next time I'm in the area. read more

Hygiene needs improvement. Staff vaping behind the bar while waiting on customers is unprofessional but the dog just running loose and being petted by staff that doesn't wash their hands afterwards is nasty. read more

I've been coming to SOB since they opened - the staff is so friendly and helpful when deciding on what beer you might like, they have their own beer on tap, as well as guest taps from other breweries. They offer $5 flight nights, retro games night, there's always a game on if you love sports, and so much more. My favorite spot to relax after any day. Amazing selection of brew from the area. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Local craft beers as well as ones they have brewed themselves. We had four pints and the prices were right for what they were. The bar was clean, ample seating for the crowd. Would love an outside area to enjoy some of the downtown Florida weather near the water. All in all an awesome place to grab a great beer and take in some local atmosphere. read more

Friendly staff ,cool atmosphere . BUT they are not brewing beer yet , something to do with licensing . So you might want to call before you go if you're looking to try something new but they do have a awesome selection of beers I believe there were 36 on tap. Look forward to coming back next year to see what they will be brewing . We didn't try it but the pizza next door looked great they will bring it to you if you ask . read more
