As of June 9, 2019 we no longer have a thrift store. Only statement community received about thrift store is a computer print out sign saying CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. The thrift store would be open if they price items reasonably instead of as if you're going to a retail store. Plus the store would be open to if they put ALL donations on sales racks instead of letting employees have a first picking of donations.I've shopped on several occasions there that items were priced too much and refused to sell a purse to me because it was a concealed to carry purse. Clerk takes it from me when I asked for me and says WE CAN'T SELL PURSES LIKE THIS but I damn sure seen her put it in HER pile of WANTS to go..
In the meantime, the facility is still asking for donations of gently used clothing, footwear, household goods and furnishings to hold garage sales at the food bank portion whenever convenient to them. I believe this is absolutely wrong to do. read more
