They have these ridiculously massive but trance-inspiring dazzling dresses adorning the front of their change rooms that scream, "come in and try something pretty!" There's also a really diverse range of elegant, classic styles befitting Audrey Hepburn (yes, I made the usual Audrey Hepburn reference) but also modern drapery styles with the highest of class and elegance. Frock Shop is another designer boutique that celebrates femininity and elegance by stocking some of the most gorgeous styles. Here you have your pick of both Australian and international designers and everything from casual fitted dresses to dazzling evening dresses (the latter of which Rachel Gilbert is a genius). You can shop online for these jaw-dropping designs too but depending on your taste and the occasion, you'll be looking at anywhere between $300 and $1200. Even swimwear is pricy with the smallest I saw being $150. Still, you can content yourself with more affordable options like earrings or a belt or, like me, lunge for the sale items. The quality of the garment and fabric was inconsistent with my experience of the label purchased (I own a few from the brand from recent years) and I was unhappy with the dress. There was insufficient information on the listing for me to know that the fabric being used was very different from their usual standard of rayon, the pictures provided gave no indication of the fabric either. For me, the item did not meet description. I wrote to The Freedom State requesting the ability to return the item, as they do not usually accept returns on sale items as per policy. They wrote back with a stock standard response, refused to take back the item. Offered 10% discount on my next purchase, which is useless because I won't ever purchase from them again when there are so so many other online retailers that care about customer satisfaction. The Freedom State = online order fail. I'll be shopping elsewhere in the future.

End of story: The customer service at the Freedom State is terrible - they emailed back saying that they won't refund/replace, neither did they offer to repair the faulty boots, just suggested lightly that they'd pay 15$ towards the PARTIAL cost of the cobbler's services!!! Part of me was amazed at this brazen unprofessionalism. The shoes that won't even last a whole season with very light wear? Judge for yourself!

Robina being one of the largest shopping centers in the area is hosting your typical big box stores with Target, Big W, Woolworth's that dominate the real estate and smaller corporate chain shops squeezed in between. No identity, no local flavor, no character but instead the sterile look alike shops doing their best to attract the public. 3 stars for convenience. Minus 2 stars for selling out to all the corporate big dogs. Please support local stores and farmers.
