I was disappointed with the bouquet of flowers that I received on my birthday this week. Most of the rose petals were starting to wilt. I called Salvy's and they said that they would send out a new one. A couple of hours later they delivered "another" bouquet so i called them again and asked why did they sent me back my original bouquet? He said he did not. So I asked him then what is happening with your flowers? He answered "nothing. I sent the 2nd bouquet back & it was canceled! I was not happy with the pic I was sent for my order and called and spoke with Salvy. He said they would redo it. I receivEd another pic from a totally different company asking me if I liked it. I called again and spoke with Salvy who was very short and abrupt with me as I began to explain all the differences from the pic. He said we're going to refund your money and hung up on me! The best in town , they reallly do stand by their integrity policy. On Valentine's Day my significant other had bought home two beautiful rose arrangements with vase and ribbons for me. Since I don't like red. He had bought me powder pink roses with mixed greens and fluffy baby breaths , and the other one was sherbet orange roses also with fluffy baby breath and mixed greens. Orange sherbet rosé's wilted and I called to ask how to revive, that's when the gentleman told me to swing by to get a replacement. THEY WENT ABOVE AN BEYOND!!! I placed an order online for the Enchanted Cottage Bouquet to be delivered to someone very special. I was amazed at the quick delivery! I thought how awesome. The recipient sent me a photo of the arrangement. It looked nothing like what I ordered, my order should have contained about 10 roses and lavender flowers. Instead the arrangement contained lilies, hydrangeas, and snapdragons and lots of filler green leaves, When I reached out, the gentleman said they had to use the lavender flowers in a funeral arrangement instead of mine. I understand things happen, but if so I should have been given a alternative to pick. I also would like to add the family has pets and lilies are bad for pets, so I definitely would never have had put these in. I gave two stars for quick delivery only. The say they were to be delivered they sent a text with a picture of the arrangement asking if it looked okay I responded that it was not what I purchased but they delivered them anyway. This would be a zero if I could make it so. These arrived with half a dozen out of the dozen and a half ordered half dead. The fact that I asked them for two days to replace those roses went unheeded - poor customer service. I paid a lot for the arrangement and expected what I paid for. I could have done better at a grocery store florist and not have gotten the arguments. Every year I order the most beautiful long stem roses and have never been disappointed. This year my florist went away so I tried Val's in Chelsea which I guess is now owned by Salvy. I am new to the area and like to purchase fresh flowers about once per month for the table, just to brighten things up in the house. Picked Salvy purely for location and unfamiliarity with the area. After several visits, realized the initial rudeness I noticed was not just someone having a bad day -- all the staff seem to have the same attitude. It's as if I was inconveniencing them by requesting to make a purchase (nothing complicated either -- just what's ever in the fridge already made up). Finally I got tired of the bad vibe and googled a competitor right around the corner - proceeded to purchase several bouquets for the holidays from them and could not be happier; much more pleasant reception and just as good (if not better) product and presentation. I ordered flowers from Salvy's for a colleague. The arrangement was delivered, but the following day, I found out that my colleague had recently moved. The flowers were delivered to her former address. The person whom I spoke with at Salvy's checked to see if anyone had called about the flowers and reached out to the driver. Sadly, no one had called to say they had erroneously received flowers. He apologized and offered me a discount on a new flower arrangement. He also waived the delivery for me. I found this florist online to send flowers to a local funeral home for someone I deeply respect who died. I read the area florist reviews, I spent time on this company's website, and I even called the company location to ask questions about the size of the arrangements I was contemplating seeing the information is not provided on their website. When I called, they could not provide more information about sizing. I chose the one that seemed the classiest, upgraded it to medium, and purchased it to send. Earlier today I received a photo by text of what was sent and I'm dismayed and embarrassed of what was sent in my name to a funeral home. I purchased a "Peaceful White Lilies Sympathy Basket," and what was sent appears to be one open lily, one partially opened one, and one closed one, and about 90% carnations and ferns. The photo on the company's website for the *smaller* size alone includes six lilies. I paid more than $100 for a piece that is largely white carnations and ferns and in my view looks worth less than $9.95. The presentation itself in general also just appears sloppy and sad and like it's from a low end grocery store. I just called the company to express this and received no effective response. I mentioned 4 or 5 times the discrepancy in the number of lilies alone between what was sent and what is online for the *smaller* size, and received nothing in response except that there are different numbers of lilies on stems. That response does not attend to the issue here at all. At the end of the day, I paid $100 for a piece called Peaceful White Lilies and what was sent was about 90% carnations and ferns, very few actual lilies, and just overall appears cheap and sad. I'm very embarrassed and sad that this was sent in my name on the death of someone I care about. read more
