Their Atlantic salmon salad was one of the best meals I ate during my whole visit in Florida as well as their blackened grouper sandwich, & lump crab cakes. Sam Sneed's (WTF?) I went to Sam Snead's with a party of ten, including myself. (All frequent customers). Upon arrival, we are informed about their new 20% off "Sizzlin' Summer Savings" deal, which was, indeed, a savings for everyone, even Sam Snead. While we saved 20% on our food cost, "Sam (The Scam) Snead's" saved 20%, if not more, on the portions served to us. To begin with, the bread basket included a few nuggets of bread, and I do mean nuggets. (Could not get any smaller) The always wonderful cheese hamburger was notably smaller. Their always superb Cobb salad which had very few pieces of chicken in it was definitely a third smaller. The steak flatbread was disappointing, with each slice featuring one very tiny slice of well-done (Maybe) sirloin on it. Truly a WTF moment. It should never have left the kitchen; an embarrassment. Sam Snead's is a great establishment with a wonderful staff. It is primarily reliant on tourists (golfers) as well as many loyal clients, how long it will last is unknown. read more

Not what I remember. I can only add a review based on what I ordered not full menu. Cobb Salad had old lettuce and deli chicken for $22.00 . They did redo salad however the lettuce was still old which you could taste. Wine over priced for quality. For price point on drinks should do better than maraschino cherries. Waitress was awesome!! Only giving 3 stars based on waitress and servers. Small tweaks like fresh lettuce , real chicken and Italian cherries would align to price points. read more

Sam Snead's is a 24 seven comfort food here in Lely. No matter when you order it's always ready on time. Food is fresh, soups are delicious, you just need to be sure if you're doing takeout they understand the difference between medium rare and well done. We stayed in Lely two years ago and were SO happy to find this place so close to us. Every single item that we tried was great!! From the simple chicken strips to the seafood/steaks we loved the food and the friendly service. I especially appreciated the gluten free options! They offered a full gluten free menu and I sampled several items on it. The burgers were great and the salads were consistently excellent. I absolutely loved the grouper which I ordered blackened. The outdoor patio was fantastic and we are excited to return when we are back in the area in November. read more

This place was busy but they seated us, with out a reservation, quickly. We all had burgers and they were flavorful and came out fast. I got a side salad instead of fries. Not the same Sam Snead as before COVID. Arrived at 6:00 with reservations and saw that only 4 tables were occupied. Our waiter was very prompt with our drink orders;,then he disappeared for about 30 minutes. Food was only ok given the prices. My wife had the filet mignon which was virtually tasteless. The smashed potatoes were also tasteless. Dessert not much better. It was billed as a brownie with cream but the cream came out of a can. Overall not good value given the prices. Last year I gave this place 5 stars. Am being generous with three stars this time.. read more

My yellowtail snapper with basmati rice was excellent Again the service was rather slow but we noticed the waiter worked a large number of tables so perhaps it was understaffed for that evening Overall, the quality and price are very good. Have been here a few times and this place is a hidden gem!! Bright open bar area overlooking Lely Resort golf course. We've met wonderful bartenders Kim & Thomas who are very friendly and are right there when you need another drink. They also have been great with recommending certain items on the menu. Today I had the Steak tenderloin sandwich and it was delicious. It look so good that I forgot to actually take a picture of it because I dove into the plate. lol. Next time pics will follow. We just finished a family dinner at Sam Snead's. The food was very good but the highlight of our dinner was our server, Aldo! His energy and enthusiasm was exceptional. There is no possible way that you could leave dinner in a bad mood. As hard as it is for restaurants to find good employees today, he is a real treasure.
